Thank You IJN Malaysia

My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the heart team at Institut Jantung Negara, Malaysia (IJN). I pray endlessly may God bless your team of dedicated and compassionate doctors, nurses, physiotheraphists, and admin staff with bountiful happiness, success and health.

Two years back, my husband was told that both of his heart valves were seriously damaged due to infection. It was devastating news, and to think of the two years of torment he had to endure, living without the valves...well...only God understands best.

God the Almighty imposes challenge on human, and He has his own reasons that we don't question. We accepted the diagnosis, secured an appointment for operation, and prayed so much for His mercy and compassion.

All in all, three different results obtained from three different specialists led to one similar solution - that my husband had to opt for valve replacement. Nevertheless, the open-heart surgery on 2nd March 2009 revealed vice versa. It seemed that after two years, the valves had slightly recuperated, and the operation team led by Mr Pau and assisted by Mr Khadri only had to repair the valves. Alhamdulillah, MIRACLES happen to us all.

After two days at ICU, my husband was already breathing without much difficulty. To Mr Pau and Mr Khadri, thank you for extending your patience and expertise. May you obtain blessings from God the Almighty for your kindness.

Here, i would like to take the opportunity to thank IJN members, IJN Foundation and IJN-related and contributing parties (esp. kebajikan masyarakat) for helping to save another heart, another life, another hope, and another love. I believe I speak for all the patients at IJN (Adik Emy, adik Amirul, Christine, all d aunties, etc...), and their beloved families. I have faith that the nation also hopes for the best for IJN.

I met two IJN Foundation executives who are actively involved in fund-raising initiatives in order to help less fortunate heart patients financially and morally, Ms Siti and Mr Farid. I have this to say - What you are doing for us all is ultimately noble, and i pledge to help IJN Foundation in whatever way i can.

Readers, bloggers, and friends in the blogosphere. Please join me in supporting IJN and IJN Foundation. Let's put our hearts and soul in praying for speedy recovery of IJN patients and happiness to all IJN/ IJNF staff and volunteers.

IJN for Dummies:

Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), also known as the National Heart Institute, is Malaysia’s premier heart centre. Established in September 1992, IJN provides cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery services for both adult and paediatric cases. As the national referral centre for cardiovascular disease, IJN sees new cases referred from all over the country and abroad as well as follow-up cases at the outpatient clinics.

The only centre specialising in treatment and management of heart diseases, IJN offers a comprehensive range of services for cardiovascular medicine with all types of interventions; both diagnostic and therapeutic and cardiac surgeries for open heart, closed heart, thoracic and transplants are performed.

Since its establishment, IJN has kept abreast with the latest medical advances from just handling a simple hole in the heart to heart and lung transplantations. Today, we have a highly competent team of cardiologists, paediatric cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anaesthesiologists, support staff to handle emergencies and even the most complicated cases. We are ready to provide our patients with the expertise they acquired with kindness, care and comfort at anytime.

IJN is currently expanding to increase the facilities and is expected to complete by 2nd quarter of 2009. Upon completion, IJN will have a total of 432 beds specially dedicated for heart treatment and will be one of the largest heart centres in the region.

Disease and cancer is test from god..We have to accept it and be patient..All we can do is to pray and give effort to find the cure..For information, heart disease or more specific, heart attack is number one top killer in the world. And yet the second best killer is cancer..
For Mdm Zue, I suggest you a Gamat Healin Product which called GAMOGEN for your husband.
GAMOGEN helps to modulate our body's immune system; increases synthesis of cytokine (NK cells). Cytokines are produced by our immune system to aid our body to fight infections. It helps our body to communicate and amplifies attack against infection such as virus, bacterial, cancer cells, rheumatoid arthritis and body degeneration. This will enhance body immunity. But this is just my suggestion from my knowledge and experience.Make sure you follow this tips only when you are at home..(the nurse will prevent you to give outside medicine)
Lastly, everybody... Always check your health, eat smartly,no smoking, exercise a little bit and always pray to Allah SWT.

Hi Puan Zue, Its me Husna.

I'm interested to share about my experienced, regarding your story. First of all, Thanks To Allah for his Miracle, gives pink health to your lovely husband and great father for both of you childs ;).

First story is regarding IJN. My grandmother that i called 'nenek' suffering for her heart problem for almost 10 years until now. She always go to IJN for her medical check up. Nurse and doctor in IJN are very friendly. Their serve my nenek very well. My nenek said that even she suffering with heart problem, she still excited and feel good with staff in IJN. Thanks to Staff of IJN for good services to their patients. I will alwys support for IJN ;)

Second story that i want to share, is about blood. Its not related with IJN, but i'm still want to share. Its ok rite pn zue? ;).
I love to donate my blood. If got the campaign, even in college,or malls or hospital, i will join. But the 1 of the rules for donate is the range for donates which is had donated the blood is at least 3 month. So that, only after 3 months after donate my blood, i can donate again. Now, i have donate my blood for more than 10 times I've been donate since 2004.
And now i have become "blood donater addict"!

The world of medicine has strongly improved in the past few decades. It is true before the improvements we suffer a lot. But, all that suffering is worth it, when millions can be saved.
Actually i would like to talk about the improvements of science in medicine.
Medicine has been a subject of interest for millions of years. From the age of herbs and traditional remedies to what we now have as tablets and pills.
Now people consider more of the humans internal organs. This originates from the traditional way known as acupuncture. Acupuncture is still in practice now but it was used thousand of years ago. Finally, we have surgery. Surgery can cost millions but the aftereffects are wonderous. Depends on the doctor. For example, neurosurgeons do brain operation, Heart surgeons on the heart, optical surgeons does it on the eye. Each of our organs can be improved to function normally or better.
These are the wonders of science which improves our daily lives effectively.
I would like to conclude this blog, by saying science have given us miracles every single day, but how far can we improve. i just hope i will be able to see it one day.

It's a rapid change with the new technology that already accelerate the momentum of medical field in Malaysia. Especially the IJN National heart Malaysia. The facilities, technologies, and the medical technology already there, the expertises with the bare god-handed to help all people in Malaysia. Good changes and living support facilities that can say achieved the international level with it's own standard. But, there are some more to do the improvements for better service and systems. With the display and database completed and calculative time showing on the every display and can advice the time consume before every process will be much more good impact and good to the people and country. Currently my father will have the simple operation in this IJN facility. Software engineers, on the database application in Malaysia is everywhere, but the system in the time management, user viewer and client user friendly still need to improve. I went to many countries and feel Malaysian is very friendly, much much more better if we can apply the friendly to the every display inside IJN with the maximum on the utilization the facilities. There are a lot of patient that deserve the better informations and time consume management for better patient and facilities improvements. Just put the simple calculation on the display module logic that will help on the how many minutes left to wait. This will help most 90% of the patient, user and con-justed inside the IJN facilities.
Better change to shift from Malaysian Standard to International standard for good, and future.

Nakamura
