StReSsEd up?

Oh! Come on. It's just one out of the countless days in your life when you feel so down, and that nothing good seems to happen; that you seem to wake up on the wrong side of the bed; or suddenly, you become the victim of circumstances!

Breathe in! Breathe out! To share a precious advice from my colleague, Pn Mastura Johar, in one of our aerobic cum fitness class - breathe in at the count of EIGHT. You'll feel better because you have just inhaled more oxygen. That's also her secret to maintain awet muda - stay young and youthful :)

Do just that, and you're gonna be okay? NO - unfortunately, problems don't go off that easily. Taking flight does not help in the long run.

Muster enough courage in you and combat the stress factor. You can lose in the battle combatting stress - you cry, feel depressed, chicken-out from the arena... vent your anger...But you should WIN in fighting and handling the stress factor.

Check out your environment. Are you at the right place??? What about the people around you? Are you in the right crowd? Look at yourself. Should you belong where you are? Hmmm...top it up with Hemalan's (taken from active blogger's response) "...i thinks, how abouts, why nots, and the what ifs....", you may find the strength to face the challenging and stressful moment.

Is stress common? Yes..and don't be surprised that there's also positive stress called 'eustress' as much as the known negative stress - 'distress'. According to Payne and Whittaker (2000) taken from a textbook I used in my Study Skills class some time back - "Stress is an essential part of life. It provides excitement, impetus, and motivation as well as distress and anxiety."

In short, it helps to identify the source of stress and build enough energy within ourselves to face it and solve it. It's 'fight' or 'flight'.

Having said that, think about this - some battles are not worth fighting for! So, is it better to ignore? The choice is ultimately yours...

Life is ain't easy..It is easy to say but to survive in this world,You should have a mentality & physically that is strong enough.

In my opinion says:

We can't just simply says " hey dont feel stress " because we're not in their position and what they'd been through with saying that and one more thing:

Don't say the word stress...We can feel the stress once we said that word because there was one teacher said that to me.

thats right..why must we feel that way..i used to cry and feel down when i am stress.what for?u should think how to overcome it..don't make your brain think what not suppose to think..we have loads more things to think better of thinking about problems that can make us feel feeble.don't stress up.relax and calm down.try to solve it properly.arrange it step by step.we all have to control our stress.this is for our own good.its for our health too..when u are stress, your face will be frown, right?thats not good for our face.try to follow Pn.Mastura secret..its for "awet muda"..who don't want to look young?i'm sure all for us wanted that..

there's no doubt tat stress takes a toll on the brain.. no one can remove stress entirely from life, but if we do realize our limitations and prioritize our activities to spend time on things that really matter, we'll have a happy life.. for me, all i need is sum1 that i trust n tell him/her wat im thinking n feel.. it feels really good to know that im not alone.. :)

First of all, I'm sure nobody in his correct state of mind wants to feel stressed up. But it is something someone is not able to run from. We don't look for it, it comes looking for us.

To me, whoever knows how to control stress is admirable. Not many have the skills in that department. Some might just break down n cry. Some could just walk past it as if nothing happened.

The way i see it, there are 3 steps to handle the issue.
1) Don't remind yourself how you got in the situation in the first place. Stop that negative thinking.

2) Find a stress reliever, or stress 'therapy'. Divert your mind on something u really like to do. Something simple, that doesn't require much thinking. Talking about it to someone could release a little burden but its not enough for it to go away entirely. Some women say shopping is a therapy. Some guys say hanging out with friends is such a breeze. Having ones company is always a blessing.

3) When its all clear and calm, find a solution to turn the table around.

So yeah, fight and take control, your brain is way too powerfull for it to lose to stress.

And remember, LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

i thought stress has always been an essential to life. Hey, come to think of it... If there is no stress, there is no life. Besides, there is 2 type of stress, a positive and a negative one. And honestly, life would be so much easier if you ignore the things that you know can cause stress to you. For example, EXAMS!(speaking as a student), have fun while studing and you wont feel so stressed up. (IT WORKS! ITS WUT I DO!)

There are thousands of causes for stress, and one antidote to stress is self-expression. That's what happens to me every day. My thoughts get off my chest, down my sleeves and onto my pad.and,for me
Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet...

Did stress good for u?? YES, but in small doses..
Think about your daily life, when do you get things done? Or when you have a deadline, when you have to perform? I’m sure you want some stress to help you do your best.
So in my point of view, I think we need stress to a certain degree. For instance, we need those stresses when we're in trouble or needed-it-yesterday deadline at work. When our brain perceives some stress, it starts making our heart beats faster thus it will make our senses more sharpen and give a burst of energy to do something. So think about it, but becareful just try not to let it take control of you.. ThankQ :)

Stress is inevitable. And for those things that are not worth fighting for, look for another medium to vent out those angers and frustration. Music could be a great healer.

Stress?i used to stress..But I tried to fight and smile.

Dun let da stress control your mind..Try to make it down and slowly solve the things...

Stress is teach us how to be more mature,intelligent,independent and what so ever~..Maybe..I dunno...I just give my opinion..Hehe^^

Great! Like everybody here says it so well...don't let distress control you..stress should drool..reasons rule..like cats rule,dogs rule...click?

Given the chance, try Salahuddin's stress salad or osha's screaming discovery...

And try to have a holiday, may be. Sem break is supposed to mean a 'break' and annual leave conditions that you 'leave' your duties for a while...right?

Lately, I have been under a lot of stress!
But, I finally got over it!!
And, I feel so3 good now!
The things that help me is being with my family everyday, music, and reading... and umm... writing!
haha...
Music for example, i play on the piano and bang on my guitar! I don have a drum, pity! But, playing with those two instrument, really helps release the stress in its own unique way!
My family, I could talk to my siblings, my parents whenever I feel so bad about something, when I messed up my paper, I talk to them! When I have a problem with friends, I talk to them again.
I guess what really helps is having someone to talk to and listen, and music my way out of things...

I think that all different feelings have their own place in our life , from happiness to high level of depression .
Although we think some of them are not good for human being , but I think that in different periods of every human being life all these feelings can be essential and useful to improve our character to something more mature and more experienced.
But I never agree with long term or permanent having any of them because their effect will be ruinous .
For example laughter which now everyone knows its important role in every body life is very essential but not every day , stress for some times allows us to enjoy and be thankful when there is a tranquil time in some periods of life and sad makes us appreciate for happy times... etc.
Me myself know all these things as gifts from GOD , but we should know to how to face with them and use them for our benefit.

Stressssssss......because life is very complicated. Sometimes, i cant overcome with this stress. well, after this i try to apply Pn Mastura johar's method. Actually, i'll get stressed up because of my brothers, so before i count until eight, i think in count of three i already start to fight. Anyway, i try my best..............adios!

Stress is a big problem in our life. One of the way to reduce stress is eating chocolate. Research shows that chocolate helps people feel satisfaction.But too many chocolate will make you gain weight. In conclusion, eating chocolate helps to relieve stress but it has its limit.

Stress is a part of life; Its the same with the need for shelter, food and clothes. It is an essential part of our physical being. Therefore, there is no way of escaping the need for stressing. I must say that I completely disagree with eve(sorry eve:)) as crying is a way of releasing emotional tension and stress. But obviously, crying is not the solution to your emotional status. The solution varies with problems. I have a friend who faces a problem that is not even his. He was worring about his friend who is in a relationship dilemma; the solution is to avoid thinking about it and move on with your own problems. Problems cause stress; avoid problems it might be a cliche but prevention is better than cure.

to me, stress can be handle in such a many ways... but when stress happen to me or to urself, we can act in out of control... yeesssss, its easy to said to our friends, "don't stress,chill..!!"...but when stress happen to us, that particular words doesn't work to us...

so, its not really easy to handle our stress...but when we stressed up, we NEED to handle it...hahaha.

Hmmm… This topic was quite interesting for me. Stress? In this world, there are no one who never got stress. As a student, I always got stress when there are exams, quizzes, or assignment that have to be send but I didn’t prepare it yet!! Oh God!! It was so terrible to me. But, for me stress actually cannot impact our live. I never thought stress in negative way. This is because I always think that stress was one ways to improve myself. Without stress, I would not keep studying. I will just enjoying my live. Beside, there are two type of stress ; eustress and distress (good and bad stress). So, why we don’t assume stress as good when it handled better? I hope we can handle stress as well as we can.

Im 100 percent sure that all of us have been through this situation. It is not an easy situation to handle. We have our own personal ways of handling it. Myself, i love to play dressed up, try a new hair-do and also put some heavy makeup on my face when im stressed up.By doing so, it gives me this one peaceful feelings i could not get elsewhere. The air of emptiness begins to fill in my head. Each and every problems that used to wander inside my head suddenly fade away. People may laugh when they hear about it. Somehow i find it helpful to reduce my level of stress. There are many ways of handling it actually as we all know. But it depends on individuals to choose which ways that suitable for themselves.

stress..!!? haha..its always happen to me..im under a lot of stress right now..huhu..there are many ways to handle this problem..for me,singing is the best way to reduce stress..i'll sing loudly so that my stress will flow out little by little..that's it!! everybody should feel stress!! its can make our mind become mature n always think positive...:p

Some how...life must go on...
we can't stop our work permanently..if we faced stress...
But stress doesn't always happen in response to things that are immediate or that are over quickly.Besides,long-term stressful situations can produce a lasting, low-level stress that's hard on people.Therefore,his can wear out the body's reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body's immune system, and cause other problems.Hmm.. we can overcome this phenomena somehow to make our life much more perfect...So,i think this is my comment for this topic...and i end up at here...

Stressed up is really unhealthy situation for everybody. Unfortunately, we all have to face it, it doesn't matter which ways you want to handle it, as long as you able to solve it.

Undoubtedly, everyone have their own problems that can make them stressed up. Even me myself always stressed up. Of course, there's a lot of causes that able to make all of us stressed up such as family crisis, friends crisis, assignment, test, exam etc even the small matter can lead you to stressed up.

Well, there are many ways to handle the stressed up but it's up to you to handle it. My ways to reduce the stress are listening to music, i prefer oldies(HAHA!), reading novel, watching movies and play games. But i reckon the effective ways to handle the stress is by expressing your feelings. Try to find someone you close with, you trust with and who can lend their shoulder for you, you express what you feels, how you feels, why you feels and everything about your situation that make you stressed up. This is really helping, you should try it.

So, don't think too much.. it's just burdening your brain. It's all just a question of being positive. Always think on the bright side even though people said life is ain't easy. Still.. you have to do what you have to do.

STRESS! STRESS!

Everybody have stress with their own reasons. Stress is defined as our reaction to the external environment as well as our inner thoughts and feelings.

For me, as a college students, I also have a stress due to increase work load, new responsibilities and social network.

As a student, time management is very important and we must know how to manage time wisely .
With challenging classes, assignments, projects, presentations and examinations provide us to manage and appreciate that 24 hours.

Besides that, family problems, financial issues, communication difficulties and transport are the common factors of stress among students.

What students can do to reduce stress are improving study habits, organizing schedule, managing time wisely, learning positive self-talk, learning how to relax and joining some good activities that can make ourselves happy and healthy.

Furthermore, walking 20 minutes per day or jogging 3 times per week can make our body healthy outer and inner then make our brain active and apt.
Take a deep breath and drink a lot of water are one of the ways how to relax our body and mind.
Lets join some good activities like sports and fun games.
We will feel better and happy so that all the problems can solve easily without being stress.

in this world,those people who never faced the stress its not a normal person..hee (:
in my daily life,when i get stress, i will play games..coz when i play game,i will only focus on game till my game is finished..besides,i will go to play bdmntn with my friends..or sing alone..thts can make me feel so relieved..stress also an encourage us to be more harworking on our work or aim..as we keep try and try to reach our target.. right? (:

but then,think positive annd u know,its nature when we get stress..theres many way to reduce our stress actually,but it depends to individual how they want to overcome their stress that suit them..(:

For me it's common that people will having stress in their life. Because of this many people doing something nuts.. until willing to commit suicide, what a pity.. but there are s0me way 2 get rid th0se thing in 0ur life by having a very good times that mean chill out with family, members and no doubt bf/gf.. by these way, u w0n't feel the stress anymore. So, think about it n make a right choices

Yeah, stress is miserable to human's life..i've done my searching on Stress, and some says "You can't avoid all stress, but you can counteract its negative effects by learning how to evoke the relaxation response, a state of deep rest that is the polar opposite of the stress response."

(I think so..em..err..yah! no doubt!)

Haih...i became stress right now,when i heard, ret, spoke anything about stress...

hy.....for me...stress is the things that cannot be separate to the natural human life. but it not to be possible that we can prevent stress from our life.. even we had a problem, we still can be strong by doing the best activity such as exercise. exercise can make we be relax however we in stress situation.we can be more strong if we be more confident in our life. thanks.....

For me, stress is a normal in our life. In Islam, reciting Al-Quran is the best way to overcome the stress. In Al-Quran, Allah said, "people who remember Me, will be feel calm."
