The Legend International Water Homes (IWH)

I admit. I have been too occupied with my career untill I have found it almost difficult to make room for a break - a family vacation. Indeed, the weekend holiday is a compulsive and desperate getaway. It's to celebrate my children's success at school, an approximate time-out from my busy schedule, and most importantly, a hope for my dearie husband's speedy recovery.Have you checked-out The Legend's IWH? I fell in love with the local 'beauty' immediately. The IWH offers a different holiday experience, tranquility and family quality time. It's home+++.

Like other families, we also love swimming so much, and we usually spend much of our vacation time at the gorgeous pools.

But that takes away a lot of our time...really... the changing, packing, walking to the common pool...not at IWH!!!The pool is indoor and absolutely yours...my children jumped into the pool every other minute, sometimes in home t-shirts and shorts...ha..ha..who cares about the proper swimming attire anymore.

i've been told that the IWH has won Best Architecture award..i couldn't agree more. For a romantic soul like me, the design, layout and exquisite arcitecture is fabulous..they've made it like home and dream vacation. Simply irresistable!! It's total relaxation and serendipity

Another subject that's close to my heart is food.so..what about food? food? food? Frankly, we had a 'feast' at Duyung Restaurant.. thanks to the chefs..the Ramadhan buffet was simply awesome, delicious and most importantly, generous. Of course I shall visit IWH again, even before the next Ramadhan...but they will only have dinner buffets on Saturdays for other times of the year...

Finally, I guess, the 'water-home' concept is simply brilliant. I can't afford to go to the Netherlands, or Maldives, or any other places like it...being Malaysian, i feel thankful and proud that we have The Legend International Water Homes at Lukut...so, wait no further...make a date with the IWH, and you shall know what i mean. It's awesome.

Would you like to share your most unique family vacation? most memorable and most rejuvenating, perhaps? Come on, this can become our travel log, yeah...

In my opinion, Singapore is one of the best places to travel with family. The reasons are: safe, green, clean, comfortable and so easy to get to all of the places you like to visit.
After some times, I went back again to Singapore with my family, and this time we stayed at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. This place is huge and it is huge enough for people to spend all the time of the day in there without feeling any necessity to go out. You won’t be hungry, as there are countless of restaurants, cafes and a large food court in the resort. You won’t get bored, as there are so many activities you can do, like swimming in the Sky Pool at the rooftop of the tower, taking photographs at the Sky Park and at the Observation Deck, watching shows, shopping, and visiting the Art Science Museum located just outside Marina Bay Sands.
Moreover, the room of the hotel is very clean and new. Guests of the hotel are free to go to the Sky Pool. If you ever stay at Marina Bay Sands, be sure to visit this amazing rooftop pool, especially at sunset when the red and orange colors appear at the horizon and the gold color appears on the surface of water of the pool. Also, the Sky Park is another place that you should not miss out if you ever visit Marina Bay Sands. There is an observation deck in the park which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city. You will enjoy the view, and if you visit it at night I’m sure you will be amazed and surprised by the night view you see in front of your eyes.
During this family holiday in Singapore, I and my parents had visited Universal Studio as well. The One Day Pass costs SING$74.00 per adult and SING$36.00 per senior over age 60. The park is small. Three to four hours are enough time to visit the park. The Transformers 3D Ride is the latest adventure in the park at the time I traveled to Singapore. The ride is exciting and super realistic, but at the same time the 3D virtual reality effects left me quite dizzy at the end of the adventure. I’m such a weak worm.
Botanic Garden is a good place to bring your family to spend some hours of the day. This garden is a home of more than 2,500 species of plants in its 23 specialty gardens. My mom likes the Orchid Garden as it is the largest display of orchids in the world, and my father enjoys the scent of the flowers at the Ginger Garden. To me, the pond of the garden is my favorite spot to take pictures. I’m sure that you will find your favorite place at the Botanic Garden...

Hello Dr. Zue,

School break Vacations are probably the happiest moment in a student’s life. Travelling is an experience and has great educative value.

We planned our program in such a manner as to obtain maximum benefits. I took permission of my father to visit Pangkor Island with my friends. We got there by my friends minivan. We took my first ever ride in a ferry with my friend from lumut jetty to Pangkor island. We booked a chalet to stay there for 2 nights. The climate was very nice. We felt as if we were in heaven. We were there for three days. Most of the time, we were by the seaside swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. The water was crystal clear and we could see the corals. The best way to travel in Pangkor Island is by renting bike which just Rm25 - Rm35 per day. Before going home, we went shopping for home at a small town over there.

The short trip to Pangkor Island during the school break vacations was a great experience for us and its memory is still fresh in our minds.

Thank you and Have a nice day, Dr. Zue.

Hi madam,
when I read your post earlier, I remember of how good it feels when it is holiday. As for me, my vacation to Sydney with my family was one of the best. It was kind of funny when people always thought that we were from Indonesia because of the scarf we wore. For me, Australia is a peaceful country to travel which is really good for those who wants to calm their mind.
Another thing that caught my attention when I was in Australia was that most of the mart have women around 50 years old as their cashier. They were as cheerful as the teenagers could be. With their smile, I felt like being home with my grandmother.
At night, New South Wales, was as quiet as I could ask for. There was no "rempit", or other activity that could disturb my sleep.
For the places, I love the opera house. It shows great architecture and it blew me away. I also spent my time in the zoo(i cant remember its name) seeing kangaroo. To my surprise, it was not that cute.
Last but not least, the food, I remember searching for halal food and it was not that hard. My brother using his smartphone to search it. Halal food could be found everywhere. As for my family, we ate at a Biryani house. It was good but a bit pricey for me.

As I am growing older, I miss travelling with my family. Everyone just have their own work. I hope one day that we as family can have a holiday together again.

That is my story. Thank you.

On December 2014, my family and I went to a family vacation for 3 days. We go to Penang for 3 days. Is been very wonderful experience for me. We visit several places such as Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Temple, Made In Penang Interactive Museum, Penang War Museum, and Escape Theme Park. This places all interesting.
Penang Hill was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia. Comprising Western Hill, Bukit Laksamana, Tiger Hill, Flagstaff Hill and Government Hill, it is located six km away from Georgetown. The hilly and forested area is the state's primary hill resort. Penang hill railway is one of the famous thing at Penang Hill. The ride to Penang hill is on of different experience. Amongst the largest Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia, Kek Lok Si Temple stands on top of a hill in the little town of Air Itam. Founded more than a hundred years ago, the complex is filled with beautifully-landscaped gardens and sacred temples. A striking seven-tiered pagoda called The Pagoda of 1000 Buddhas - which combines Thai, Chinese and Burmese styles in one structure - houses a stunning collection of Buddha statues made from all sorts of precious materials. Also found within the temple complex are the statues of The Four Heavenly Kings, guarding the four points of the compass - North, South, West and East - with the statue of The Laughing Buddha in the middle.
The Made in Penang Interactive Museum really helps shake off pre-existing ideas of boring, outdated museums, instead offering visitors a fun, exciting way to view artwork with exhibits that have clever 3D imagery features. For example, a portrait of the Penang Snake Temple, with a large 3D snake slithering out from the framework. A museum where getting involved is truly part of the fun, pictures range from historical images such as battleships being blown up by cannons, to elevators with iconic horror movie characters inside. The trick is that artists have used different colours, textured contours and some props to create each unique photo.
My favourite place at Penang is Escape. This island’s newest outdoor theme part is adjacent to Penang Butterfly farm. Surrounded by sprawling trees and lush greenery, this family-friendly theme park is neatly divided into three sections: Adventureplay (for outdoor recreation and extreme sports), Waterplay (water recreation and pool) and its in-house hotel for your convenience. Currently, Adventureplay is the only section that opens its doors to the public.
There are many benefits I get from this family vacation. The three days were really memorable days for me. The benefits is memories that last a lifetime. So far I can remember all the things we do on this vacation. Another thing is time with family is priceless and very important. It will help the family member to strengthen their relationship. Everyone need a break even a machine need a break to cold down. When our family goes out it will help us to chill. For parents they can teach many things to their children. New experiences they will never forget and also priceless. This all things I experienced from this vacation. When we travel to a new place we also can get new friends and meet many difference types of people. For example I meet several shop holder at Kek Lok Si Temple. I communicated with them to lower the price for a small Buddha statue.
Thank you Dr.Zue and friends to read this comment. Thank you Dr.Zue because given me a chance to tell my experience about a vacation with my family.

A vacation is most important thing that we need it after long studying or working. In a vacation it’s a time to take a rest and relax. A memorable vacation is one that you can never forget. Sometimes it is even hard not to stop thinking about it. Many of the places I have been include Singapore, China, Indonesia and Thailand. All these places are great but each has a non-forgettable memory that I store in my head and in my heart. I have had several vacations that bring good memories, but one that I will never forget was my trip to China. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What made it even more memorable was the fact that it was my very first time on an airplane independently. I cannot recall another time in my life when I experienced so much joy. It was a good experience for me. I recommend to travel alone because less expenses will be used and you will have more time for yourself.

Assalammualaikum Dr Zue,

I would like to share my most memorable family vacation around earlier year of 2015. My family and I really love vacation and holidays. We have been to many places, discovering and exploring beautiful nature. One of my vacation that I'm going to share is my trip to Brisbane, Australia. I went there with all my family members. Australia is one of the beautiful place I've ever been so far, and there are so many interesting and exciting places to be explored. And when we talk about Australia, of course the main thing that across our head is kangaroo! I was beyond excited because I can finally met them in a real life and had a chance to touched and fed them foods. In Australia, there are some of theme park which are called Sea World, Dream World and Movie World. Sea World is based on marine animals which we can see a lot of fluffy penguins and flawless dolphin, huge and cute polar bear and so many more. There are also some rides and entertainment for the whole family. Apart from that, Dream World and Movies World are the best theme park ever. Similarity to USS ( Universal Studio Singapore) but these kind are more enjoyable and adventurous because there are loads exciting roller coaster and rides which will be loved by teenagers and adults. I think this is the best and memorable family vacation. And if you need enjoyable and exciting vacation especially for a young teens like me who love roller coaster and some kind of that stuff, this is the right place for you to go with your family or friends. Lastly, This is one of my family vacation I will never ever forget.

Family vacation is a very important and memorable for us. It will get us more closer to our family because usually they busy working for all the day and doesnt have enough time to accompany even take care the daily things that happen to us. My unforgetable vacation with my family is when we went to Genting Highland. We stayed in Herritage Hotel for free cause my father was one of the member in a club so they offered the free accomadation in genting highland. The weather was so freaking cold that and that time was heavy rain. We spent there for 3 days 2 nights. We got go thru with some indoor games. The most scarier game is roller ghoster. Then we went to shopping at there and we bought some key chain. We back home happily. I prefer Genting Highland is best place for vacation.

It has always been a dream for parents to bring their child to a vacation. To let the kids see a bigger picture and learn something from the other side of the world. Back in 2010, I was still in the secondary school when Ibu told me we're going to visit Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for the upcoming school holiday. I was quite excited for the plan as it will be my first time visiting Borneo. I started to google for the attractions of Kota Kinabalu and asked a few friends for a suggestion place to visit while I'm at Kota Kinabalu. As we reached there three days later, it was 2300 and the city has already sleeps. We continued our journey next day and managed to do 'island hopping' to the three islands near the city. The vacation doesn't stop there as we went for a trip to Kundasang the next day. In Kundasang, there a lot of attractions that should be visited such as Mount Kinabalu, Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, Tagal Fish Spa and so on. We spent our whole day in Kundasang to enjoy the nature and to take it as our preciously sweet memories. I've learned that with vacation, it will strengthening the bond of the family and will make every second counts with laughter and smiles.

Vacation. It is an ordinary word for all of us. For me it means independent day because i will spend my time without think about my normal live. Those word is very powerful in strengthen the relationship with the people that we love. Besides, as an ordinary person who live their life in the concrete forest, I advice you should go out from this crowded city and have a vacation even though its mean you have to go by on your own. Why...??? Because you need to release your tension, your stress so that you can live your life happily. It is better for you to have vacation to the nature places. You will find serenity in this kind of places.

When I was about 12 years old my family and I traveled to Syria for holiday. As the school break begins in peak of the hot summer in Saudi Arabia, where the temperature could reach 50°C, The majority of the population choose to travel to colder climates during this time. The favorite destination for the Saudi citizens are : England, France, Turkey, Egypt and Lebanon. During a discussion with my father about what destination will we go to, he said it will be a pleasant and a fun place, don’t worry. Needlessly to say, I was young at that time and couldn’t understand that cost and budget will determine our trip. So after a few days my father gathered the whole family and told us we will go to Syria. One of the reasons was it’s because it have a nice weather at that time and the cost of living there was really cheap compared to Saudi Arabia.
We started by visiting the Umayyad Mosque which a beautiful artifact from the Umayyad Caliphate period, it’s wonderful and contains within it the graves of holy persons inside. After that we went to a grand bazaar which is called “Souq al-Hamidiyyeh” it’s an ancient bazaar and it’s located within a few meters from the Umayyad Mosque. The bazar contains a variety of products from spices, to incense , to carpets , to cloths ,to food and many more. The one thing that caught my eyes was the Liquorice juice seller. He was chanting in a unique manner and was carrying on his back a tank that contains the juice and also have an ice container by his side. I went to him with my three brothers and bought the drink for 2SYP and it was delicious. Later that day we visited “Taqiyya Sulaymaniyah Souq” a nearby shopping district and next to it was an old museum that contains old aircrafts and cars. During our stay we also visited the “Jebal Kasioun” or Mount Qassioun, a fascinating place that holds a spectacular view of the capital from above and also holds a wide range of restaurants that cater to different types of tourists. Some offer Arabic food while others offer a more western style of meals.I hope the safety and prosperity returns to that beautiful country, So it can open its doors to history enthusiast just as myself.

As a birthday gift last year, my parents bought me a ticket to Japan (whom they are working there). A day before my spawn day I arrived at Haneda International Airport. Arriving in a strange land with strange people and strange language did not deter me in exploring The Land of the Rising Sun. The next day, which is the day of my glorious birthday, I was blessed with the opportunity in basking in the most breathtaking view I ever had in all my life, which is me standing on top of Mt. Fuji and looking over the horizon. I doubted the sanity of me at that time as no word in the human language can describe the beauty I witness then. God knows how much I wish for a second chance in basking in the glory of mother nature like I did on my birthday.
