The Legend International Water Homes (IWH)

I admit. I have been too occupied with my career untill I have found it almost difficult to make room for a break - a family vacation. Indeed, the weekend holiday is a compulsive and desperate getaway. It's to celebrate my children's success at school, an approximate time-out from my busy schedule, and most importantly, a hope for my dearie husband's speedy recovery.Have you checked-out The Legend's IWH? I fell in love with the local 'beauty' immediately. The IWH offers a different holiday experience, tranquility and family quality time. It's home+++.

Like other families, we also love swimming so much, and we usually spend much of our vacation time at the gorgeous pools.

But that takes away a lot of our time...really... the changing, packing, walking to the common pool...not at IWH!!!The pool is indoor and absolutely yours...my children jumped into the pool every other minute, sometimes in home t-shirts and shorts...ha..ha..who cares about the proper swimming attire anymore.

i've been told that the IWH has won Best Architecture award..i couldn't agree more. For a romantic soul like me, the design, layout and exquisite arcitecture is fabulous..they've made it like home and dream vacation. Simply irresistable!! It's total relaxation and serendipity

Another subject that's close to my heart is food.so..what about food? food? food? Frankly, we had a 'feast' at Duyung Restaurant.. thanks to the chefs..the Ramadhan buffet was simply awesome, delicious and most importantly, generous. Of course I shall visit IWH again, even before the next Ramadhan...but they will only have dinner buffets on Saturdays for other times of the year...

Finally, I guess, the 'water-home' concept is simply brilliant. I can't afford to go to the Netherlands, or Maldives, or any other places like it...being Malaysian, i feel thankful and proud that we have The Legend International Water Homes at Lukut...so, wait no further...make a date with the IWH, and you shall know what i mean. It's awesome.

Would you like to share your most unique family vacation? most memorable and most rejuvenating, perhaps? Come on, this can become our travel log, yeah...

This vacation was happen when I finished my primary school. This is first time I went to the lake . unfortunately , I didn't know swimming at that time . Then , my father learned me there . I was scaring from water at the beginning . After that , I like swimming very much even swim in the river. Eventually , family vacations establish a strongest familiarity and do lovely contact between them.

"I wrote about vacation with happy feelings and some time sad and sorrow feelings because it remembered me by my brother who has dead before a few months ago"
Vacation is a leisure time get away from work devoted or from ordinary life to rest or pleasure. Many people prefer to spend their vacation by traveling to another place inside their countries or overseas. But other people are going on staycation due to budget reason or may be afraid of flying on a plane.I prefer travel during the vacation due to many reasons; because the traveling opens our eyes to different culture and customs. Traveling also exposes us to the different wonders of the world, also traveling takes away the stress of work and momentarily takes us away from reality. Going to new places and meeting different kind of people builds our confidence and take away our fears. In terms of me, in most my vacations I had traveled many times to inside my country and outside, but there is no special one of them as much as the last one that I traveled to India with my brother, he was older than me and he was suffering from Cancer disease, it was unique because I planned this travel just for him. Our trip it was in the past January for this year. We flight to Iran because there is no direct flight to India in my country. So this is a chance to my brother to see a new country where we spent 3 days in Iran where we visited skiing place, it is a nice feelings when you make somebody who count his days to leave the life is happy, then we flight to India, where my friend was waiting us there, we chose India because it's amazing place, it is like a small world due to have different cultures, religions, traditional and even climate;he booked for us in Hotel located in folk market. Also one of the traits of this Hotel is when you want go and back to it, you should take Cycle Rickshaw or Auto Rickshaws, Where they are one of the features of Delhi streets. We stayed there for 21 days, during these days we had visited many ancient places. Qutb Minar was the first place that we visited; it is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and an example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. It made of red sandstone covered with complex carvings and verses from the Qur'an.Also we visited Akshardham Temple; it is a Hindu temple complex in Delhi. Also referred to as Delhi Akshardham, the complex displays centuries of traditional Indian and Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture, and it has water show. Later we visited Red Fort, Lotus Temple (Bahai faith) and Tibet Street for the antiques where we bought a lot of antiques such as ivory chess set and ivory canine with inscription and we took a lot of photos. Sometime my friend told me that "these photos in one day will make you happy and in the same time sad because it always will remember you by your brother". The last place we had visited was Taj Mahal. It was built by Mughal emperor Sahan Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. it is considered to be the finest example of Mughal architecture,a style that combines elements from Persian, Islamic and Indian architectural styles. In terms of food; it is pleasure to me because it is absolutely different on my country food. Almost it is spicy and there are many types such as Chapati-Roti, Naan and Pakora. My brother didn’t try anything of them but to me, I tried all because no one should be afraid to try new dishes. If you don’t try it, then you will never be aware of what you like and dislike because I believe that everybody should try it all, or you will never understand the different cultures of foods. After 21 days in India, we backed to our home with nice memories. I always flip the photos of this vacation some time make me happy, and some time make me sad and sorrow because they mind me by my brother who has dead after 2 months of our trip. Finally, travelling in vacation has many benefits such as see new places, learn new cultures, relax and health for your body and Taking a lot of pictures helps your remember the vacation.

Your great essay spirit me to talk about what I love to talk about every time ..

Vacations overseas have unforgettable memories. I visited many countries for vacation, but here I focus on my last visit to Netherlands. I made this vacation before a few months ago .It is really unique vacation with unforgettable memories.

It is 10:30 am and I wake up on the sound of the pilot of aircraft when he stated that “We are landing in Skephfol International Airport “… The dream become reality, I am in Netherlands. Its rains and the weather are very cold. Many times I pinch myself to certain that I am not dream. Anyway, I take the train to my target … It is Amsterdam city, the economic capital of Netherland where my reservation in hotel.
Amsterdam is romantically and dreamy city. It’s take you faraway in the history due to fabulous old buildings, bridges, stones pave roads, shops, and old Dutch horse carts. The city architectural is wonderful especially the rivers. It is valuable thing to make a trip through these rivers, it is show you many views of beauty of this city. I am really feel relax and happy when I remember the amazing time that I spent in this city.
After that, I visit Deen Haag city, it is political capital of Northlands .it is wonderful city also. The quietness and noiseless are the first impression to me when enter the city, it is seems like heaven .the most important feature for this city, is the international court of justice and Madora Dam city in which a sample of all Netherlands you can see .Also, I hope to visit flowers garden which is the biggest garden in the world, but I cannot due to its closed at the time I be there.
In addition to above, the food is so beautiful and healthy. Almost, food meals are boil vegetables with fruits and sweet .I feel healthy and refresh when eat such type of food .
Finally, I enjoyed this unforgettable vacation, and I hope to make it another time. Also, I snapped many pictures and recorded many video films for my archive

Ah, travelling - who doesn't like travelling? There's a chinese saying that goes : The reason we have a rest is to continue a longer journey. Since I was a child, i dreamed of travelling the world, to meet new people and for the irresistible gourmets! I want to fly to Paris to find out whether or not France people are good lovers; and I will visit America to devour the juiciest cheeseburgers ever known to man; and let's not forget the Japan that's popular for its cute and sexy anime Cosplay girls! For now, i can only try to close my eyes, imagine and visualize with all my heart when i read the travelling column in the newspapers. But I will make sure that this will not last long. I will make enough money to travel around the world slowly and gracefully (unlike Jackie Chan who did it in 80 days?!) in a luxurious cruise ship or even a private aircraft along with my loved ones.

I had written about my family vacation for one week ago.
And now I am going to write about another vacation.
Vacation in my dictionary means my time should spend it in a proper way.
So I am caring very well about this time-out of my work life.
This saying" So I am caring very well about this time-out of my work life" Takes me back for almost three or four years.
I will talk about this great vacation that I had it with my friends.
We planned to make a trip to an awesome place and have irresistible time. So we took our decision to go to an artificial lake we call it "Al-Habaniyah".
It is a big lake encircled with sand beach, shades, swim pools, green yards and a hotel. It is an amazing place that can anyone relaxing and have pleasure time. At that time I went to that place with my friend. We had a good time, enjoyed with nice view, playing a football on the sands and the best thing that we were waited for it is a barbeque.
This experience has influenced me, and left a good memorizes for the best moments I spent it there.
Finally, vacation has been an essential time for every one who wants to keep progress in his life.
Work stress, pressure of life make our daily works more complicated, so the only time that we owned is Vacation.

The vacation with family is one of the most important thing for me. The daily stress and routine of work take us from our family. Thus it's important to go with family in vacation to recovery.
One of the most unusual vacation I had with my family in Syria .Three months ago I and my family visited Syria before coming to Malaysia . We tried visit all the beautiful places in Syria .We went to Holy places , tourist resorts , museums and else . The unusual thing in this vacation are two places . The tour guide advised to go to Hamidiya market and Cave of Moses two of the famous ancient places .
After days , we went to Hamidiya market which is very long and ancient . In this market , the shops are sells the handwork traditional , souvenirs and the very traditional foods that don't available in the restaurants .
The second remarkable thing in this market at the end, there is one of the most important mosque called Umayyad Mosque .
The second place , Cave of Moses is very amazing place. The history of this place goes back to hundreds of years . The exterior facade is very modern and normal but the interior of the cave is abnormal. In this cave in past works hundreds of workers in extract the sand for construction . the workers are come in the early morning and begin digging the interior walls of the cave to get the sand and transported the sand by animals. after many years in this era the cost of dig and transported the sand became very high and without any benefits . the owner family of the cave decided to converted it to tourist resort. To tour inside the cave there are two ways , walk or by boat where there is waterway inside the cave.
When we took tour inside by boat I was in awe because the vision is frightening , darkness and cold. I will not forget this cave.
in sum , the travel is very useful where we are can visit , see and learn more about the world. I hope see more unusual places here in Malaysia. I want do to a trip in jungle and see the wildlife.

Dear madam
The vacation is very important for me especially when I spent it with my family. The most memorable vacation I had with my family and relative spent at the north of Iraq . It was four years ago, when we decided to take a rest somewhere distance from our daily routine by going for this trip. It was the first time for me to see the water falls there. The water is very cool, clear and nice. My siblings , cosine and I played with cool refreshing clean water. Also, We enjoyed a barbeque meal together and shared laughter together at the restaurant near the water falls. In the other hand I enjoyed during the vacation when I spent it with my friends. My long vacation began when I come to Malaysia to study to get the master and enjoy with my friends with this kind people and the amazing places. In the brief, This vacation was a very refreshing and amazing experience for me and my siblings . I hope I get the chance to visit all the places in the world like that place.

When someone fells tired with his or her live,it is good to decide to
take abreak and make vacation. Itis better to someone to take a holiday
to spend awonderful time with friends or with his or her family.
One of the most unforgettable vacations, I have had, was going to Syria and Lebanon,
with my friend Ahmed, in the summer of 2008.We booked two days
before our journey we got the car and we went to our destination
It was an early morning when we left our city. When we arrived in Syria,
It was night and our friend waiting for us.
Then we took a break and then we walk in the city
and learned about their customs and traditions,
Syria is a beautiful country, where we spent 5 days.
Then we went to Lebanon and have spent a good time there,
then we go back to our home. Last but not least,
I think everyone feels boredom or fatigue can take a break
in order to forget it, could go in traveling or visiting relatives
I think it's beneficial to both people.

The most beautiful day of my life before I came to Malaysia five days, going out to the north of Iraq with my friends, I can tell was a farewell trip to me by my friends. Iraqi north is famous by mountains, waterfalls and swimming pools.
The mountains of northern Iraq where large and high-rise and beautiful at the same time where you have to raised some of these mountains with my friends and see the city from over the mountains because it is a very beautiful landscape
And you can see it as a coin, a small luminescent, I can tell it’s like as paintings took care of the artist to come up with his portrait is beautiful
After that I went with my friends and I enjoyed many waterfalls and water falling from the waterfall and took some beautiful pictures there at the Waterfalls.
Then we went to the swimming pools and we spent a good time there so I am missing to this moment that I can not forget those moments.
Finally, my opinion that every person has a family should give time for his family to go out on trips and recreation pressures of work and I see that he has to supposed to give time for his family also gives time to work because it is these times are important to the family and also is a beautiful memory for them.

I am talking about the most beautiful thing I've visited in the holidays almost a year ago, a visit to Turkey much the country beautiful epitome of tourism. Landed at the airport in Turkey in Istanbul, a large international airport and very 3:00 pm and then headed to the hotel to put my bags in the meantime there was a visit from one of the priests of Christ to Turkey for the existence of some problems on a mosque which was converted into a museum that is what I heard when I was there and after I settled in the hotel located in the area in middle of city and then went to tour the Istanbul thing distinctive characteristic of Istanbul is mosques, which are described by building a beautiful and weathers the other is in two parts part Asian and part European and connection, including a big bridge this very of the nicest things I've seen I stayed in Istanbul almost five days and then moved to Ankara and my trip was by air in nearly two and a half hours. I wandered in Ankara and I saw places beautiful and islands relate to and I wandered the streets, stayed three days and then headed to a town in the plane nearly three hours of her Kisari an industrial city and antique at the same time booked in a hotel called Hilton five-star and then Empire began my journey to get to know the city moved to an area called Kpduque. All the people have many interesting vacations but not all this vacations is especially, I will talk about two vacations, it were very interesting for me .

First vacation and most important of the other holidays in my life, I was with my family in the city of Mosul, when i remember these vacation i feel real happy because it was including all my family as well as most of my relatives, we traveled to many areas in northern Iraq, where everything is different in terms of weather and nature and landscape the spectacular waterfalls and high mountains and giant trees. The journey was frightening because we often rise towards the high mountains and down to the top of the mountain, but despite the fear was a wonderful spectacle. On this journey, the communication of all the family was represent for me a full family life and real fun, I can not find words to describe it.

In the second trip I was also with my family, we traveled to Yemen, this trip was a business trip for my parents, it was very interesting to me because I got to know a civilization the people and traditions of Yemen , The distinguished thing is its people very simple, where I felt I was living in a time I thought he was finished because the world has evolved greatly and this people live in the simplicity of the strange and complex traditions, their homes have been traditional that lacks modern construction and were living provide them with the nature of the resources, we lived in the summit of mount height of approximately 4500 meters above sea level, the weather was fun, we were see four seasons at day, cool and warm and rainy and the sun shone, the clouds were around us like we're living inside it, because of the high elevation above sea level and this was more than fun. In the capital Sana'a there was an area called the Ancient Yemen, It is a old building in the era of the old to Yemen, and were the heritage of Yemen where the old buildings were very old, and surrounded by a fence and gate giant, also famous Yemen manufacture of agate which is about rocks shining like a diamond, cut into small pieces to be a gem for the rings, and extracts the agate of the mountains, I considered this trip it's voyage of discovery for many of the traditions and ancient civilizations

All flights above were very interesting to me not because of the place, but because I was with my family and this is the real fun.

My Most Memorable Vacation
A vacation a time of relax . I really enjoy vacation because I don't think about
working or any other problems. When I went on the cruise it was fun I have ever had
on vacation. In the following paragraphs I'll tell why it was my most memorable
vacation. Vacation- a period of time to relax, a period of time used for oneself.
My cousins and I went on a cruise and it turned out to be the most memorable Vacation. I did things I have never done before, it was very exciting. In the middle of April, we was going to the store to buy food for cruise . At last, after being at the store for hours, we would be on our way to Marshes. Chabayish marshes in Thi-Qar, which was our destination ,which is the largest areas of marshes in southern Iraq and an area of about 600 Km2 . They have very diverse kinds of wild animals and plants. If you are looking for an entertaining and relaxing way to spend the beautiful days of spring, Chabayish Marshes has plenty to offer. The drive takes approximately two hours from the center of thi-qar city. Our trip during the spring made for a great vacation, the temperature stayed between the 30C and 35C, perfect sun tanning weather. The friendly smiles and southern hospitality mixed well with the warm climate. they are the beauty enchanting, but words fail to describe it .
In the mornings, I could feel the moisture of the cold air from the inside of the tent. Every morning, we would wake up to go hunting. We have prepared our boat, which we got it from one of our friends who live in villages in the marshes with his family. We have taken all fishing tools with us. At noon, we work our lunch there. We grilled fish on the way the Iraqi famous named (Mazgouf) . It's very delicious meal and never forget. When the dark back to our camp.
After spending about five days at Marshes, I knew why I loved them so much. At this certain place, I could get away from everything that was bad in my life, and even take a break from the pressure of working . Here, my cousins and I forgot about the stress from work , and just had the best time of our lives. That is why this place was, and will always be, the most important to me..

Not because we're in flight or Zeya, but we are together we laugh and Nmazh each of those standing that has made the journey something.

Unusual vacation
I'm always looking forward to unusual vacation . there are many options
where to choose . I think that the most common place that I choose for taking
unusual vacation is the jungle in South Africa for many reasons . the first is the
level of pollution is very little compared with the crowded cities . the air around
the jungle is clean and fresh , especially in the mornings. I usually take deep breath
breaths to inhale the fresh pure air. Whenever I breath in the air I always feel so
invigorated . Also I can see all types of animals especially the seldom animals such
as Elephants , Tigers and Horses and I know the behaviors and the nature of their
living inside the jungle . the second reason is the ability of the enjoining in the
open spaces at the edges of the jungle . the looks nice of the distant plains and hills
are a pleasing sight . it has always given me a pacifying . the third reason is the
economic factor where the trip to the jungle is much cheaper than the trip to the
famous cities . finally , I am always thinking to make unusual vacation even if onetime
in whole my life .

Syria is the place where I feel most comfortable. Because of our country natures it is not easy to travel around, there is not enough places to visit because each country you want to visit will ask you to apply for visa that is not easy to get. Nevertheless Syria is the country that we can visit. In June 2006 is the first real vacation that I did with my family we went to AL-Zabadani, Damascus, the capital of Syria .It was summer this reign lies about more than 1000m up to the sea level and it is no easy for the compact car to climb. There was a restaurant called Janat –Bludan on the top of that reign. In the night we asked the waitresses to bring blanket to cover our bodies because the view is wonderful, the food, drinks and finally the prices are suitable .I felt very interesting and really that vacation decreases some of our stresses and me and my family were enjoining with that vacation. Finally I strongly recommend for anyone to visit Syria because the people are very polite the prices are suitable the rent of apartment is cheap and available everywhere and finally the transportations are easy and cheap.

However, I like to go to Fraser Hill. there fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, is ideal for those who prefer a place full of peace as I am! hehe .. for the family, IWH is appropriate to go on vacation. therefore, much needed vacation, even if you are very busy because spending time with their children, and families are very meaningful even a minute. This way, it can bridge the family relation indirectly. So, go on holiday!

The most memorable family vacation is all my family members went to Paris. It was the most memorable family vacation that I ever had. So many things happen back then. Even it was so tired to be seated in the plane for a long period. But when you reach the Paris airport. You will have a very big smile on your face. Paris was so beautiful. The Eiffel tower was so bigggggg. You will feels like you are a tiny little ants down there. You can reach the top of the tower. But you will have to buy the ticket at the counter at the tower. At the top of the tower. We can see the whole view of the city. It was so beautiful. After that we went to Paris Disneyland. It was sooo cool. I take a picture with Mickey mouse and all the other Disney cartoon character mascot. It was a memorable moment that I have with my family vacation.

I just love the breeze of the ocean. Desaru, Johor Bahru is the last vacation I go with my family. Yeah, since everybody in family is kind of busy studying and working, we did not get a chance to gather and went for a vacation very often. That last very peaceful holiday is after I have finished my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. I have passed through all thin and thick time during examination, homework and school stuff. So that time I enjoyed every single moment that I have with my family.
I remembered one night at Desaru...it was the most unforgettable memory that happened in my life. The most wonderful experience too. It is watching fireflies at Sg. Lebam. It is like we get on a big wood boat that has 2 floors with one conductor. The conductor tells us more about fireflies that we might never know. The conductor also catches the firefly and gives it to us to hold it. But after you catch the firefly you must release it back or else you might get huge problem.
So, on the boat, we can stand or sit. We were not just watching fireflies , we could see a million of stars right on top of our head and the breeze from the river is just so nice and peaceful. Oh, I miss that time so much and I would love to go there again.

I think you must have an enjoyable time with your family at IWH.

Family vacation is a time to get away from it all. Away from work, the phone calls, the kid's activities, the daily to do list. This is a great opportunity to spend time as a family and get to know each other. We can go for a hike, build a sandcastle, explore a museum. There is more time to talk and spend time together without the daily distractions.

the IWH looks awesome.i want to bring my family there one day.i bet you and your family have a great time together and can release all your stress. These reminds me that even we are busy with our work,we have to stay connected with our families.if we are too focus on our work.we just not stress ourselves but the feeling of our love towards our family will be fade away.

So,we have to manage our work and our relationship with family equally.it keeps our family happy and when our family happy,we are happy as well.

Yes, I also have my memories from the best ever family vacation which is in Bandung, Indonesia last February. I can say that everything were there. Tourism places, shopping paradise town, art and culture, all we can find in Bandung. Did we know that Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano until now? Of course i love the sight seeing in Bandung. From there i can learn about other country culture. What i love most in Bandung in Bandung is the clothing industry is much improve to compare with other SEA country. Not to say our country are left behind, but the quality can be said as high productivity. Trust me, a vacation with family will make us more closer. Eventhough I usually travel with my friends, but a vacation with our family will create a great moments with our loved ones.

hye madam

when telling about the trip, I feel great and little bit sad. the best holiday i ever had, when i was in kindergarden. on that time, all my family members went to PD. At that time, the sea water there is very clean and beautiful. i cant remember all the things that happened there. but, I am very sure that time I was really happy. A lots thing we do such as picnic there, bathing the sea water and so on. i really miss at that time, because I was feel very close with my brother and parents. we try to make sand castles, play around there, take a picture and many more. oh! Really missed that time. PD is a very relaxed atmosphere, can breathe fresh air to released tension. many things happened there, but I do not remember all. Now, my parents and my brother have begun to busy with their activities. they have no time. abah, once a month must be outstation. mama, even the same. but mama really busy, sometimes up to overseas. brothers, like to spent more time with friends. Now when I go for a holiday, brother rarely follow. Its hard to gather all the members.

Hanging out with family is always unforgettable.Specially in long holiday. We went to Port dickson and stayed in hotel with amazing chalets on the sea.A location same as location you had been there.Actually that was expensive for student so we was there only for 2 days. Our chalet didnt have private pool but it had another individual facility. An open air washroom where u can shower with rain. Also a small balcony with ocean view.Everything was dreamy.Without doubt this trip is my best memory in Malaysia

Who hates travelling? There must be something wrong with the brain, lack of love and busy with chores. GOSH. Sometimes, we need a long rest after busy hour. Pack in the things , and decide where to go. It's a holiday, people! :) most unique family vacation? I’ve been to Guang Zhou, in December 2009. why I said it as most unique family vacation? Because it was our first day holiday as a family, where everybody participated. From my big bro to my lil bro. Nobody left at Malaysia :P okay. When we travel from one country to another , we can learn about the culture and FOOD! Yeay. Even in Guangzhou, they said that there’s a lot muslim there, but we need to be aware towards the foods and other things. We can learn from the way they behave , talk , smile , speak , eat , socialize , and so on. As our Prophet [peace be upon him] said (a very long time ago) “seek knowledge to the Chinese” . It’s true! Because when u reach there, u will see everything that u not be able to see at you country. Then, you can learn from it. Travel is about learning actually  thus, I love travel. SAYA NAK CUTI!!!!! Hehe. Like MAS advertisement. LOL. Thank You.

Having a vacation is the most wonderful thing for every human being especially child but it also the same to the teenagers and adults. But in the other hand, the vacation can also bring such a very bad experience for us that can leave a very huge impact to our life which make us miserable.
Talking about vacation, I had went for some vacation with my family’s which had leave very cherish moment for my family. It make the bonding with the family become more strong and firm. In addition, it make my family happier with each other and make us feel more wonderful.
Next, once my parents talk about having a vacation my little brother will jump feisty to show that he is very excited to have it. Then, he would not stop talking about that thing everything make me so mad at him but what to do he is my little little brother’s. He really creating a atmosphere of having vacation with showing his extraordinary behavior that make us laugh....hahahahahah!!!!
Vacation leave me so many of lovely moment that I had experienced ever in my life. It capture too many grotesque time with my family and also my friends. Even though, I do not have experience vacation outside the Malaysia is still wonderful and fascinating for me.
Talk about this, it is does mean we must having a vacation outside Malaysia right? Having a vacation in Malaysia is better then outside country like United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hawaii and others country around the globe. When we do a vacation in our beloved country, we can help develop the country economy which will make the tourism in Malaysia is better in all aspect that can contribute so many of good thing to the country and the people inside is .
As a conclusion, having a vacation can make us happier with fascinate moment with our beloved family and our lovely friends which is can leave us a very meaningful and wonderful time that we had. Vacation broad the minded.

The best time in one's life is the time that they spend with their loved ones which is their family.Nothing could be more important than spending a precious time with them.My best family vacation was when me,my family and my relatives went to Teluk Batik.Firstly,I had a great time collecting sea shells.I have a cousin who was only three years old when we went for the vacation.I was in charge of taking care of him so both of us went to collect a lot of sea shells. It was really fun as that was the first time I saw alot of sea shells with different shapes and sizes.I guess I got more excited than my cousin and collected almost 50 different type of sea shells. At first,I wanted to give all of them to my cousin brother but they were relly cute so I took most of the beautiful sea shells and give the others to my cousin.Eventhough that was selfish,I still don't mind.Other than that,we also went boat ridng. It was really awesome as that was my first experience on a boat.We enjoyed the beautiful scenery there. The most fun part was when all of a sudden the water splashed on my mum and she got all wet.All of us started laughing and even the person in charge there also laughed. It was so hilarious but at the same time I pity my mum who shivered out of coldness.Basically, this was the best family vacation I have ever had and I wish there will be another opportunity for us to go on another trip soon.

salam pn zue,

When we heard the word 'vacation' of course we will imagine beautiful places to have a great time together with our family or friends.Vacation mostly full of memoriable memory of wonderful time there. The latest of all, I have went to Cameron Highlands with my mom. We went there with kids and some teachers from her school.Going to a vacation can make us become closer to our family and make us feel grateful for living in such great country. First, when we go to a vacation with our family when can spend more time with them. We put away our works or assignment and just concentrate to our family. Just like me n my mom, we talked about a lot of things and have fun together. We captured a lot of pictured together at the tea plantation place, cactus valley and butterfly farm. Next, we can see that the fact that malaysia is a beautiful country is true. When you first set your feet at Cameron Highlands you can feel the cold breeze around. It can make you feel refresh. This prove that having a vacation in malaysia also comparable to have a vacation overseas. Therefore, the word vacation is just like a mirackle by having so many benefits such as bring our family closed together and make us fell gratefull to our country. Lets go on a vacation!

It's not easy to have a vacation with families and love ones if we don't really have the right time. So timing also plays role on having a holidays.

Yes of course this legend international water is a fantastic place to fill some time and enjoy the relaxing moment. I've been to some places thats related to this (IWH) and to have stayed on a chalet on a water is something different in fact to me it's quite bizarre experience. After seeing the facilities and features, i'll give it a 5 star. I'll lovin it. They have almost everything, gym, swimming pools, games, restaurants. It doesn't matter whether adults or child, This Legend International Water Homes have a complete set for everyone!

The Legend International Water Homes(IWH), it looks nice. I'm sure its a great place to go. I think i should go there for holiday.

We should take a break from our busy schedule sometimes to relax and spend some times with our family. Taking a break from our busy schedule allow us to be free from stress for a period of time. We can take a break from our busy schedule by going holidays or just rest at home instead of just working everyday and getting stress with the workload of our job. Besides that, we can take a break from work by spending with our family. We can go for a holiday with our family or spend time with them doing activities like sports, games, picnic, etc.
Henca, its important for us to take a break from our busy schedule and spend times with our family as it could strengthen our relationship with our family.

Vacation? everyone just loves it! even me myself. well,to be frank, vacation can be encountered as the best podium to enhance the bond in a family. from the east to west, north to south, people goes on holiday especially with their families. it is undeniable that going for at least a short holiday despite the hectic schedule in town, can make the mind peaceful. scientific research proves that an individu has to get some relaxation after 1 solid month of working, which means one should go on holiday once in month.this is where we malaysian's are lacking in.rather than going 4 vacation, citizens mainly, prefers to 'lepak' in town or at the shopping complex.this unhealthy trend has become an hobby for the teens! 'lepaking' simply adds up stress as we get exhausted when we walk around while chatting and bugging at the crowd? so,is it worthful doing window shopping? besides, going for a vacation can develop the unity in a relationship such as the family. we eat together, share the same experince, chatting and even sleep under the same blanket. these indirectly can strengthen the bond in the family. misunderstanding can be cope via vacation too. for example, among siblings, they used to compete to get the best clothes for them.but eventually one party will finally fail.thats reality! and when there's understanding in them, this can be overcome. thus, going for a vacation such as to the IWH is a great one.the furter the jouney is,the more the experience you get.

vacation. it is one of my favourite and the one thing that can release our tension after having so many work. for me, vacation is such a good things that we can do when we want to get peace or get away from work for a while. for example, we can choose to go to the island which is already have in malaysia such as Pulau Sibu which is located at Johor. for me, having some time in island can give me more peaceful because when we see the waves.

Besides, not just that. we can also play some games at the sea. for example, we can play beach ball, volley ball, play with the banana boat and many more. trust me, all this game can give an enjoyable to us while playing it.

Last but not least, i really like vacation and usually my family will be bring me and my siblings went to Pulau Sibu which is Pulau Sibu is owner by my aunt. So that we will not have to pay more to stay there. Lastly, if you want to get some peace, i recommend you to go to vacation because vacation can give you peaceful that you will get.

Vacation in my dictionary means my time should spend it in a proper way.How a nice family moments it is..Everyone in this world hope to spend happy vecations with family, but some times couldn't make it.
People have to be happy any where they are to continoue life happily. Many people prefer to spend their vacation by traveling to another place inside their countries or overseas. We can get a lot of memorable moment with our family or friends whenever we are spending our vacation with them. But some people spend their vacation by travelling just inside their country due to budget reason or may be afraid of flying on a plane.I prefer travel during the vacation due to many reasons, because the traveling opens our eyes to different culture and customs inside our country and also outside.I will talk about this great vacation that I had it with my family.
We planned to make a trip to an awesome place and have irresistible time. So we took our decision to go to Pulau Langkawi for 4 days trip. For the first day, we went to the langkawi beach side which encircled with sand beach, green yards and a big hotel with a nice swimming pool.......
It is an amazing place that can anyone relaxing and have pleasure time. At that time I went to that place with my family. We had a great time, enjoyed with nice view, playing netball with family members. At that night, we all gathered at the beach side for doing barbeque. how a nice and memorable day it is....really enjoyed myself. For the second day, we go to five types of island which is half and hour travel in boat to reach that island.....
we take about one day to visit all that island....
what a amazing nature that i saw there....wonderful mother nature....And for the third day, we went for shopping.... spend a lot of money on shopping to buy cloths, food, souvenirs for friends and my school teachers...... after the shopping, at about 4pm we moved from there.... while reach home at about 12.30am......
a great vacation in my life which is unforgettable in my lifetime....

Vacation is a enjoyable experience. With the vacation, we can calming mind. And with the vacation, we can enjoy the beauty of God's creation. For me, there are two advantages of the vacation.

First of all, holidays can calm the mind. For example, if we vacation in the jungle for sure a lot of green trees there. Green calming our minds and make our eyes a rest. In addition, the melodious singing of birds calming our minds more.

Second, we can enjoy the beauty of God. Did you know? the peace that we enjoy during the vacation it is a gift? Actually, the trees and the birds are singing the zikr. That's why we felt the time was always calm.

The conclusion, indeed, a vacation is a pleasure as well as calming the mind and appreciate God's creation.

Hi Pn Zue....

Vacation....???
Malaysia is said to be land of cultures, wonders and attractions. Vacation package to Malaysia comprises of primitive longhouses to towering skyscrapers, from the best beaches to diving spots of the world. In fact Malaysia is a perfect blend of natural beauty and manmade towers. Malaysia is one of the finest places that can quench your thirst for romance, adventure and pure fun and entertainment. Well, for me the most unforgettable vacation with my family was in Pangkor Island... We went in a group of 20 family members including me... We rent a bungalow and stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights... We went there to celebrate my grandparents wedding anniversary... The first day we went to the sea side and eat our wonderful lunch and in the evening we enjoyed the fantastic beach scenery... Next day, we rent a boat and went around the island while few of my cousins and me too went snorkeling... Omg, the view of the blue water in the island was superb cool.... I was so in love with the flora and fauna under the sea... However, the third day we spent time in the bungalow and at night we went to the town and did some shoppings... Fourth day, we went to the sea side and collected some shells for remembrance... At night, we had BBQ party and we organized some games to make the holiday more cheerful with happiness and the love from the family members...we had lots of fun and really enjoyed the vacation.... Finally, the fifth day we packed our things and back home safely... This is the most unforgettable vacation with my beloved family ever...

Malaysia is the reaches country with the forest, tourism place and so on. As the citizen of Malaysia we should thankful because we are at the peace country. When talk about tourism, I want to share some experience when I go for travel at Tanjung Piai in Johor. I am very meditative when I explore the whole places at Tanjung Piai. There are more than 20 species of mangrove thrive at that place. Fauna inhabitants include dusky leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, several rare bird species and seasonal migratory birds. Shoreline seabirds will stop at coastal area before resuming their migration path. My family and I was very enjoyed and we take a snapshot to make a memory.
I choose that place because, there are a lot of flora and fauna we can found. They prepared a transport for visitor to round the whole of Tanjung Piai. During we round there, the driver will explain one by one about the place, type of flora and fauna and so on. In addition, the Tanjung Piai also prepared a resort to visitor who came from others country or places. The unique of the resort is, it is located in on the top of beach. It is really amazing and we are very excited to try check in at the resort. At night view, there are a lot of light we can see from the beach. Then, we can here some sound of bird that make us quite for a while. The sound was very cute and sometimes the bird will make noise in morning. Last but not least, Tanjung Piai was the amazing places that I suggest all of people should go there. You will feel happy and satisfied with all facilities that they will give you. So, try first and the prove will be appeared. Thank you.

Vacation? What can I say about that word. I think everyone in this whole world like that word. For me I get excited every time my parents said that we are going on a trip. Vacation is where we can release all the stress from work or studies. It also can give you quality time with your family or even friends. We can take vacation anywhere we want either it is around Malaysia or overseas. For me, my best memorable holiday would be the trip to South Korea in 2009. When we were there, it was in winter time. Although it was not my first experience to be in a country during the winter time but this time around it’s a bit different because it was super duper cold. On the first day itself the temperature drops to -11 Celsius. So imagine how cold it was that time. Over there we when to one of the famous island in Korea for the couples and also the shooting place of one Korean popular television series Winter Sonata. The name of the island is called Nami Island. Then we went to one of the ski resort in Korea. It was my first time skiing and it was fun. I will recommend everyone try skiing at least once in our lifetime. It was so cold there until the water inside the water bottles becomes ice. We also tried their traditional clothes that are called Hanbok and their famous food Kimchi. Although I would not say I will eat kimchi ever again but I can say I tried it. Hence, going vacation can release our stress and see other things outside our comfort zone. We can try so many new things and see how the other cultures are.

Family vacations offer an excellent opportunity to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. The key is to select the right type of holiday for your relaxation. Thailand is one of the best places in the world to visit and enjoy great family vacations. Thailand family vacations can be a perfect way to spend leisure time in a pleasant weather with its gorgeous beaches and luxurious accommodations. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and offers numerous of cultural and heritage activities including visits to ancient temples, battlefields and other great locations.
Many of the places I have been include Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. All these places are great but each has a non forgettable memory that I store in my head and in my heart. I have had several vacations that bring good memories, but one that I will never forget was my trip to Thailand, because I had a chance to meet my relation, experience a different culture, and view some of the greatest, spectacular, panoramic sights in the world.
I have a beautiful relation family in Thailand that I never had the chance to meet. Last year in January, my family and I decided to plan a trip to go to Thailand so that I may meet my relations and enjoy the presence of her uncle, aunt, cousins. So little by little, we started to save. In March we had the amount needed to purchase the airline tickets and go. I was so excited. After reach there finally I meet my relation’s. I was very happy. We was enjoy our self by visit some of the places in Thailand. It was memorable vacation in my life.Last but not least I would like to suggest The Legend International Water Homes(IWH) to my family to have a fun.

For sort of all things that make our mind miserable, having a vacation is the wonderful potion most. It can cheer up our feeling from bad thought at a workplace at a campus. Beside, having a vacation is like "return to the nature".

So many works, assignments, or task to do make us running crazy. As a result, our mind is "polluted" by all that stuff of works. Having a vacation? Go ahead! Sure it will calm our mind, "recharge" our feeling from bad to best. Forget a workplace for awhile will free us from being "locked up".

Feng shui rituals are informed that nature is says like a part of our lives. That thing will make ur live balanced. How come our life to be balance if we always busy from city life??

Take a break and have a vacation at IWH. :D

Malaysia is an exciting destination, a beautiful nation and is one of the big tourist attraction place for a vacation. As a Malaysian, we should appreciate to being in a tourism country .Family vacation can bring up a close relationship among each other. Most of them will choose a specific day for a vacation, some will choose at end of the year, may be it brings a memorable of the year. The place I admire most are islands and highlands. There are many choices of beaches and islands for visitors to choose their holiday destination. Some of the beautiful islands are Redang island, Tioman island, Pangkor island and Langkawi island. The beauty of the islands are amazing and it attracts all the visitors. The places are wonderful and the sea breeze and the blue sea is the best ever for me. The highlands that are in Malaysia include Cameron Highlands,Genting Highlands and even more. As for me the mountain landscape in the highlands makes me come back again. The mountain that join togther and green in color make my eyes feel cool for it. Most of them will spend a longer time at this places. It can make a person peace and release their stress and tensions. A part from that I with my family members, neighbors and relatives will go for a trip ,at least one year once.Mostly we will go to temples, all the temples has its own history and powers. As for me no matter where is the vacation places we going to visit, the important is we enjoy and spend time wisely with our family members,it can bring a closer relationship.

Back in the year 2008, my parents and I planned a trip to south India for a fortnight. Forthrightly, India wasn't my cup of tea. This is because India incited a sense of desolation whenever I thought of it; the obnoxious hygiene, the grimy water and the heart-wrenching poverty. All of it coalesced to form a rather unpleasant concoction of distaste. However, certain aspects there proved me otherwise. My vacation to India with my family was truly a mesmerizing experience for the 3 of us. We had a glimpse of India’s best and worst. From the hysterical honks of the cars on the roads, to the hustle and bustle of T Nagar, to the seemingly continual poverty, to the glorious churches, we have truly come to appreciate India as a country filled with diverse substances. However, the best part of my stay was going to a number of churches all over Southern India. Frankly, I couldn’t recall all the names of the churches, only one, that is, Church of Our Lady of Good Health (Vailankanni). The sight of the church was truly a breathtaking sight for my parents and I. It was truly a mesmerizing experience to be able to go to the church. Furthermore, the food in India made quite a huge impression on us. We fed ourselves with a whole lot of “Briyani’ as it was such a delectable meal. Tosai, capati, idli, and puri too, were palatable eats over there. Plus, the lassies and fresh fruit juices were the best thirst-quenches in India! A magical church that bonded us even more stronger and the scrumptious meals we had together was filled with laughter and joy. These are distinguished memories we will never disregard of our family vacation to India.

Assalamualikum,
Vacations, I really do enjoy traveling. I honestly look forward to vacations because of the hotel rooms and rarely because of the location. I myself don't know why this is the case but I seriously enjoy sleeping in a hotel. Although there is a few occasions where the location is simply to amazing to be passed by sleeping in a hotel room. For example, in a trip to Surabaya, Indonesia, I wasn't having high hopes that it will be a fun trip but I was way wrong. The trip had us go up mountain ranges to watch a sunrise and stare down into the mouth of a volcano mountain called bromo, we also learned about the local culture and I got to make a few friends and take photos with lions and tigers in the process. From this trip I felt that I don't have to limit myself to whats in my comfort zone and do something daring once in a while.

The IWH sounds like a perfect getaway, but i feel like it's just too lavish for my liking. I don't really have a unique family vacation experience since none of my family members are that outgoing type of person, so we rarely pamper ourselves with pools and expensive meals and stuff... But there are times when we feel like spending time together, and when we do,it'd be more to camping in some woods, huddling into a little cabin or tent together, barbecuing, river bathing, and getting some tattoos (i really mean mosquito bites) before we leave. And we just fancy the smell of the trees and earth, it's like a free air freshener! Well there's nothing rejuvenating about going to bed with sands on your feet, but it's definitely a memory that I'm never going to waste.

vacation...
nowadays people like to to choose holidays at oversea seldom choose own country. But actually holiday at own country is more fun than holiday at oversea.
Firstly, save cost.
Because holiday is just give us relax, release stress, something like battery recharge.so if we go oversea,we will keep thinking is the money enough to spend, the money for the airport taxes and so on... because of this and that the vacation become not fun at all and especially for the family trip.
Secondly is passport.
If we go other country we need to have passport, the time to prepared is short but the proses is long.sometimes take a month to proses.lets say if the date u book the ticket is coming soon, but your passport is not done yet,how u going to that country?sure we will be worried and our emotional will become unstable and the plan to that country is spoil and the vacation is not really fun and relax. The benefit of vacation in our own country is no need to worried about all the stuff.Besides that we also can enjoy our holidays such as go beach and etc.
so hope all you all have a nice holiday not a full of worried holiday!

Dear Pn Zue

A vacation with our family is something that all of us would wish for.My first vacation with my family was when i was 13,we went to Pulau Perhentian.I admit that i had a splendid time with my family members there. The most fun part of the whole vacation was during the afternoons that we spend along the beach. We also went for the banana boat ride.It was a thrilling experience for me.I really hope that me and my family could spend another family vacation soon.

A vacation a time of relax . I really enjoy vacation because I don’t think about
school or any other problems. When I went on the vacation it was fun and relieves indirectly keeps me calm and happy. In the following paragraphs I’ll tell my most memorable
vacation. Vacation- a period of time to relax, a period of time used for oneself.

My family and I went to Port Dickson and it turned out to be the most memorable
vacation. I did things I have never done before, it was very exciting. It was a cool
Sunday morning when we arrived at the Port Dickson. When saw the Cruise
Ship, I stood in awe admiring it’s beauty. We went with whole family with cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles and so on...It was first vacation that we all spend time after a long break...It was the best time I ever had.We all went to the beach and swimming....some of the children making sandcastle....We had a great time together...At evening,we all gathered at the beach side for doing barbecue...how a nice and memorable day it is....really enjoyed myself...We also had singing competition...laughing and enjoying it..That was wonderful moments that can't bought by money....pure love and care among each other..We also captured a lot of pictured together to be kept as memories...The fresh breeze and amazing scenery of the beach was really absolutely AWESOME...!!!!

Yeah!!!,I usually have a vacation with my family.....But our vacation is more to the nature side.Last few month,we went to the tasik chili, over there, we have a journey for 2 hours,we keep on walking until reach waterfall. This journey, is the best among others that I had because the obstacle is not a mountain...Usually in others vacation, we need to go up until the top of the mountain and then we reach to the waterfall area.On this journey is the best among others just because we have to cross over 3 rivers before we can reach to the waterfall. We have to hold on to each others hand to prevent falling into the river and that things had made us even closer, we have to help each other to cross the river. When we reach there, we ate nasi lemak,BBQ hahaha, that's was awesome to me, because we run through many obstacle and at last we can saw the beautiful nature while eating our lunch !!!! Hahahaha.....go there if you want another great vacation like me......

Dr. Zue said...

most awesome is having to cross three rivers...but where's this place? is it tasik chilli or tasik cini?

the most memorable vacation that i had is when i went to cairo, eqypt with my family. people there thought that i'm a primary school girl, because i look so petite compared to their size. cairo has a lot of amazing places, and of course we did go to one of the 7 wonders of the world, the great pyramid of giza. besides, my family and i also had a chance to cruising on the nile river. cairo is full of ancient landmarks and monuments and they are all fascinating to visit. if you are interested in historical stuff, cairo is a perfect place to go ;)

Assalamualaikum Pn. Zue.

First thing i opened up this post, my eye are glued to the pictures of the swimming pools. I wonder why the pool looks so weird, not like other's hotel pool and then I start reading your post, nahh! it just awesome! Your own private pool! I didn't know this type of hotel are already in Malaysia. I thought it just a dream to be in such hotel. I even search for the hotel website using Google :P

Okay, enough of that, back to the main topic. My most unique family vacation. Hmmm... Let me think... Ahaa! It is the vacation i remembered the most. The vacation to European countries. The idea comes around when my father always joking to me as when I say to him, "Father, where you want to go?" and he in his joke accent, "Nahh, I want to go to London, Paris, New York". He always with his statement when I ask the same thing nevertheless in what time. Suddenly, a miracle happens. As my mother flipping through the newspaper, there's a advertisement by a known red airlines, says that "London - RM1599". And my mom shout it aloud! We are startled! What it is? What it is? Then my mother say "this is it!" In no time, I was instructed by my mother to fast booking it before it is too late.

Waiting a year long then the day has arrived. We managed to get our own Malaysian who operated the Bed & Breakfast there in Bedford, UK as our partner there that arrange for our accommodation, transportation and food. After a long hours of flight, we finally arrived at the Stansted Airport. After all the immmigration check and we get all our bag back, we are headed to meet Mr Rasol there. Oh, Mr. Rasol is the person who run the B&B there. By the way, the immigration officer that process my family is quite beautiful. Did I mentioned beautiful? :P Mr Rasol take us to our accomodation which is a typical londoner's house, small compared to our home back in Malaysia but it is quite comfortable. Enough for our family to release our stress after a long flight.

The next day arrives, with the guide from Mr Rasol, we headed to the local Bedford's community park. There I see what does not what we can normally feels in Malaysia, which is the coolness of its temperature. As the time I go there, it is in which is still cold, just after the the winter seasons. Although there are suns right above your head, the coolness is too cold for me! Even with thick lining of sweater, it is too cold for me. :P The scenery are beautiful. Too much to see in so much little time.

Okay now, just a fast foward to the scene that really are unique to me is that occurs 3 days later, when Mr Rasol took us to Paris, France. The story begins when we took a sightseeing bus that stop at the attractive spots in Paris. At one stop, me and my father want to see the Lourve Museum but my mother and sister don't want to. So, me and my father decided to go for the museum by ourself, leaving my mother and sister on the bus. After me and my father finished scrutinising in the museum, we want to take our bus back. But to our suprise, there are no that bus anymore! We search high and low for the bus but there are no where to be seen anymore. Luckily, we remembered the place where the bus station is and took a taxi back there. At the bus station, after seeing my mother and sister, we feel relieved.

Haha, actually, that's not the unique things. It is the bonding I feel whenever me with my family. Whenever I see the face of my mother and my father, I feel so calm and ease. When there are family vacation is where I really can spend my time with them fully. That's the most unique and precious moments of from a family vacation. :D

travel is the most pleasant and refreshable activity I can do during my vacation. I really like spending my holiday with my family to find an opportunity to renew our relationship and to discover the talents of my children.
In my last vacation,I went to Langkawi (the beach) and i was surprised and amazed by the beauty of the island and the natural sources
Of birds, islands, trees. we have seen different kind of birds and my children were very happy. At the hotel, there was a wide swimming pool and i usually teach my children to swim and the biggest one now can swim a little bit and therefore he has gained confidence and developed his skills.
between time to time we like to see the pictures of our previous vacations and recall the unforgotten scenes.
I believe that any vacation can be ideal while spent with those you love

finally, we have an opportunity here in malaysia to visit some interesting places and to rebuild your relationship with your family or even your friends and beside that you have chance to see an incredible scenery and scarce birds and overall to change your routine ^_^

last three weeks, my housemates and i went to Genting highlands and its nothing compared to the place that you have been.

i could say that it is the first time for us to go for vacation together ever since we moved in.

i must say that it is an unforgettable experience for me with my friends as we get to know each other very well

god has gave us friends developed through friendship and it is something i cherish in life and there is a saying by a Wiseman "no one lives alone"

i wont be sharing about Genting Higlands instead i will share my experience with friends because i assume everyone has similar thoughts about Genting.

So the journey begins with a bus ride together, followed by a ride on the cable car. On the cable car itself i found out that one of my friends is afraid of heights.

As we reached to the top, we straight away entered the outdoor theme park. We tried almost every single ride that genting has to offer, one of the ride that caught my attention was The Space-shot. Technically the ride is exhilarating whereby those who ride on will be taken up in the air and feeling weightlessness on the way down at the speed of 67km/h.

The funny part was i didn't ride on The Space-shot because i was afraid of my self killed up in the air. Who knows XD

So, after almost 4hours of entertainment, we headed back home, we were exhausted by the thrill that we had. We also have many photo together that we can keep as a memory :) here's the link to the pictures that we've taken

It is among the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Asia..We have a great moment there..Yet i still can't forget about Melaka.. Eventhough we just went to Melaka and not to oversea, its become most memorable moment because i went with my lovely family that i love so much :)

A vacation is most important thing that we need it after long studying or working. In a vacation a time to take a rest and relax and don’t think about work or study.
I really remember that e good moments are those that are in the first vacation after high school, I went with my lovely family to Egypt. It was a nice place to see the civilization of this country. My family and I stay in the hotel that was in front the nail river and we visit the pyramids and we saw many other places that tell us about the great history of Egypt. Really it was exciting trip.
I still remember this vacation because I enjoyed there so much and that was the first vacation for me after studying and was a nice experience for me.

There was this one wonderful resort and they provide spa and swimming hot pool which is can be used by any visitor. These places is the most peaceful place i have ever seen. The spa was beautiful and the structure of the spa's house is so traditional and cool.My mom were so happy as she is so into this hot pool.Haha.After all,for me,vacations with lovely family is the most unforgettable memories ever :)

6 years before we had long family trip it was decided by my father which is to visit most of the beautiful cities in Yemen.

so we have been traveling almost 20 days but that was really awesome it is just like once you head to the north of Yemen the weather getting cold and cold but once you go to the south the weather become normal ,

It was nice and happy time between the great felling and wonderful beauty of Yemen.

I wish that time can be back again.

Well,i never have a chance to go outside from Malaysia to do vacation, but i dont need that.We already have lots of interesting places to relaxing ourself here. The most far i go is Langkawi. It is awesome.Plus i go with my friends. It is a trip sponsor by our school. The journey quite interesting since we went there by bus.No need fancy aeroplane. We arive at there and need to take ferry *somekind of boat for me since it quite fast* .When arriving at Langkawi,i saw a big hawk statue.Well,we do capture lot of photo with beside that hawk statue.Lot of activities we do at there. But the most unforgetable things is we went to top of Mount Mat Chincang with cabel car.Seriously we kinda scare inside the cabel car.Somehow we manage to hide it by playing poker card. :P
At top of the mountain we can feel cloud crossing between of us.It so amazing and kinda freaky to since i quite hate to be at heigh place. Before we end our vacation at there. We buy lots of choclate since it tax free. That one of my vacation that i hardly to forget it.

a family vacation, is by far, a very refreshing and rejuvenating activity in my opinion, giving me the strength and reminding me of who i am by remembering all the times we had and the things we shared while growing up with my family members together in one house.

with my family we had quite a few vacations together some of them are in here in malaysia, which i personally think is a very wonderful and full of places to discover around and look around.

but for me i think going to Istanbul in turkey was a very interesting trip, we visited so many palaces and mosques for the muslim ottoman empire. one of which is visiting the blue mosque or sultan ahmed mosque, that is incredible building with wonderful features and architectural design, it is a must see for people who are fond of architecture and people who enjoy looking at them.

what made that trip very wonderful was the falling of snow at that time, my family and i had a great deal of fun by playing with snow balls and making a snow man, and to be honest snow balls are quite painful when thrown to the head, it seemed softer on movies and tv shows.

to me it was an unforgettable and a very pleasant trip, i go through the pictures of it from time to time and laugh about it.

I would be honest with all of you that I really do not prefer to spend my vacation with my family at our home or even our big house that include variety of things those make me spend gorgeous vacation such as swimming pool, or any other things. It is very nice when I change the place that I live in it to another, to spend my vacation with my family and we feel happy and to see a new things and this depending on my budget. So by depending on my budget I can go the place that it would be suitable. When i take my family to spend our vacations that means I take care of them and that will create strong relations between us.

Greetings Maam =D After reading your log,i feel intensively immersed into your experience at IWH..to be honest having a pool inside is cool ^^

So,here i am sharing with everyone my most unforgettable experience to Coral Island,Langkawi. It is one of the best places to go in Malaysia since it is one of the top 10 most attractive places for tourists.

So the journey takes about 3hours (speed limit abuse) and followed by a ride on a ferry straight to coral island. So as we arrived to the island my first impression was "am i in heaven?".We were welcomed by the receptionist and brought to our chalet and the most interesting about the chalet is..its on water!and there's a floor made of glass in the living room..and i can see the fishes swimming through and i must say im well impressed by the architecture of the place..one word for it..HEAVENLY

The activities can be done there are such as snorkling, fishing, horse riding by the beach which was the first time for me..and ETC.One of my favourite was swimming with the sharks and the infamous Barracuda itself. They dont look friendly though but im sure they were trained to be vegetarians..haha

so that is all i can say about this overwhelming experience that my family and i had.Hopefuly it gets better better in the future

Assalamualaikum and have a nice day everyone

since my father was always busy with his works, so, it is hard for me and my family to have a vacation like you maam and your family.
i still remember it was like 5 years ago, we are on vacation in pulau pinang, as we arriving and check in the hotel,
suddenly my father told us that he needs to go back to perak due to on call duty.
its kind of tragic when one of my family member are not there in what we call " family vacation "
HUHU !
my mum is used to it and so am i and my brother.
luckily my aunty and her family joined us in that vacation. just feels little bit of disappointed.

since then, im not really into vacation !

Because we can find friend with same hobby and sharing information about each other. During the convoy we may have some technical problem but there's always a helps from friend. Even we're lacking of time and tired during the convoy but we enjoy it. I'm looking forward for the next convoy after final exam..:D

I do enjoy going on for a vacation, especially with my family, but I seldom had the chance to go on vacation because it's hard to find a right time where everybody in my family are available for it. I wish I could go vacation more frequent since it really helps us to be free from the stress of our busy schedule. Besides that, I find that going on vacation is one of the best ways to strengthen the relationship among family members because during holiday, we can do activities together, visit places together and so on.

As for Legend International Water Homes (IWH), it's definitely looks like a wonderful place to stay when we're on holiday. The thing that made me attracted to IWH is its indoor pool, where we don't have to walk metres away from our room, and we can wear and do anything we like when we jump into the pool. Nobody will care. Combine with its breathtaking scenery and its beautiful environment, this could be one of the destination where I would go on family vacation.

Finally, for the most memorable family vacation I ever had, was 10 years back, when we as in the whole family had the opportunity to visit Pulau Tioman. It was the most memorable family vacation for me because it's here where I dipped in the sea from morning to evening for 3 days consecutively, thanks to its crystal clear water and ended up my skin got darker for several weeks when I came back home - I had sunburn, probably because of excessive sun exposure. But that doesn't really matter, compared to the pleasure and the precious experience I gained from it.

What better way to relief stress than going on vacation? After reading your article and lookng at the pictures, I really feel like going to one now. When I was a younger, I always spend time with my family travelling in all sorts of places such as Langkawi Pulau Pinang and Pulau Tioman.
Vacations near islands are the best. You can do so many activities near the beach like playing and making sand castles, collecting sea shells, playing waters sports and even boat rides exploring nearby islands.
The best vacations I've been to was during my time living in Canada. I was just 7 years old that time and I still remember some beautiful places my father took us to. The best one was the Rocky Mountains. I have not seen any places as beautiful as that. The white snows covering the mountains were truly an artistic sight that can make you forget about all your problems. We also use to go on picnics at the best parks which located in Saskatchewan. I also used to follow my father go fishing.

It’s been awhile since I last spent a vacation with my entire family and the best time was in Canada. The memories are still vague but thankfully we took lots of photos to make those memories last for a long time :)

So,last year my family and i went to Pulau Langkawi for holiday. We were there for about 3 day.Actually, its been a long time since we haven't went for a holiday. For sure,my parents were quite busy until they forgot to spent some quality time with us.But,its a normal thing right.Sometimes its hard for them to find some free time for us because of working matters.

So,Langkawi is a kind of unique destination for vacation actually. Most probably because of itself location which is on an island.Plus, with their famous food such as 'Laksa Penang','Pasembor'and much more.

Have u heard about Sri Mahsuri legend?Perhaps you should visits Langkawi to see it yourself.I mean,it is very good for us to know about our own country historical places right.

Thats my vacation review i guess.i really enjoyed it.Im waiting for the next holidays for sure ;)

You remembered me of last semester holiday. You know, after a so long semester which was full of pressure; I decided to go to Cameron Highlands. I Stayed at Equatorial Cameron Highland. Although it's a bit expensive, and the decor is a bit old fashioned, but I liked the services of the reception, they were very helpful and friendly. I loved the views around the Hotel; it really relaxes all the human senses. Although the surrounding area is not a busy town like Brinchang or Tanah Rata, but this is the beauty of it. It is quiet and relaxing; I enjoyed every evening tea in the Coffee Shop without interrupting, without noises to ruin my day. I went to strawberry farms and to the tea plants.
I was amazed when I firstly saw the tea plants since I came from a desert environment; everything is green, raining, and very cold. I really enjoyed that trip and I would go again.

Holiday is the best chance to renew your life and change the daily routine. Everybody needs to break the routine and revitalize his life out of the worries of everyday life.
I remember once I was with my family on family vacation in a camp close to my home town, we spent a good time and enjoyed the weather and beautiful views and my father tell us how camping .it has been one of the best vacations I had. And I save good memories. I and my family has been a long time to go out together on vacation because I am far away from them, but I missed to those days.

Hello Puan!

reading your enjoyable time there really encourage me to share some of my thoughts. the water-home concept really attract me to IWH. i already feel excited and thinking of proposing them to my parents. and how come i never heard of that lukut place somewhere around n9???! damn. my family usually have a picnic at port dickson once a year as our kampung is just at kuala pilah, n9.. such a waste of time!

Talking about my most unique family vacation.. I think the last my family have had was somewhere around port Dickson too. Why PD again.. *sigh*.. haha. That’s the most nearer and affordable within our budget! Because I just loveee beach (I don’t know how to swim but still I’m loving the beach!), I don’t mind visiting the same place over n over again. The apartment name we’re staying.. I don’t remember. Just having a good time, walking and playing at the beach on Sunday morning..and having a bbq, a great n delicious bbq on the night before.

Actually, its quite hard for my family to plan such a vacation because abah & mak never really plan on it. The good news that is, I am going for a vacation soon! At the end of this month, my family had planned for a short trip to indon. *excitedexcited* I am soo participating for this trip because ive never travel outside Malaysia and this is the moment! We’ll be departing on 24th and I’m going to miss your Thursday class Puan. Hope u’ll excuse me for this one if it happened to be any quiz etc on that day. i prepare you a letter then alright Puan? ^__^

Hi ma’am,

Wow, it such a great place when seeing all those pictures! Thanks for sharing and perhaps will going there soon. :) As we know, travelling is something that gives most memorable in our life. Oh, I think 99% of everyone on here and out there love vacation as well. Including me too! Who doesn’t like vacation, right?
When talking about family vacation, it’s nothing historic or anything because every second that we spend together can be also our unique and most memorable time. But, there are a few that I could bundle together as the most unforgettable moment when I was 12 years old. It’s such a beautiful time for me and family when my father took us travelling around one Malaysia—without we know! It takes 2 weeks for us to end our long destination. Sounds like crazy but great, right? We started our travelling from west—Melaka to Perlis and finish at East – Kelantan to Johor. So, the moment we spend together is unforgettable.
When travelling to all state, of course one of them will be your valuable vacation with your family. Mutiara Burau Bay Beach Resort at Langkawi, is the place that we can’t ever forget. The green environment and best view of blue ocean such a beautiful and attractive to us. I saw beautiful beach and many trees on the way going there. The air was very fresh where you can feel relax and out of stress.
So, that was the best vacation in our life because we spend together visiting all most beautiful places in Malaysia. :)

Vacations are like rear commodities in my family. With all the time spent on school and work, the only time we can go on vacations is during festive seasons and even then time is mostly spent with relatives.
I remember this one time we decided to take a break from the hustle and tussle of the city life by taking a vacation. We decided that the best way to fully enjoy our vacation was to visit nature and so we went to the Khama game reserve in Botswana to see the wildlife in its natural habitat.
This was quite an experience; it was totally different from seeing animals in a zoo. When animals are in the wild they behave completely different than those we see in captivity, the aura they give off is different too. The beauty of this sight cannot be simply explained in a few words, it is something that one has to experience.
Going out into nature is both rejuvenating and fulfilling. It is the perfect escape from all the polluted air and the noise from the city.

May God keep your family and you happy all the time !

sharing my thought in a such topic ,reminds me of an unforgettable picnic with my family .

We were camping for a week in a beach ,we've spent a really great time Swimming ,playing volleyball , BBQ, and more .

Hard work and ambition are important without periods of rest and relaxation we are less capable of appreciating the benefits of all our work. We're not machines and we need a break now and then to be most productive.

Hi this is me Nassr,
First of all, I want to say that I was wonder and happy at the same time when I read you post "experience" about the (IWH) here in Malaysia, it’s really as you said mdm, something to be proud of.

I will tell you my best vacations so far with my family, back in July 2003.
It was a long trip to visit 4 countries.

We left my country OMAN heading to Jordan. And we spent more than a week. The atmosphere was cool in the summer and very nice compared to my country it was hot but here - Jordan - it is suitable for a family holiday. We visited the most famous tourist places since the Roman era. Natural areas and also I don’t forget the Dead Sea the best place for the treatment journey.

Then we went to Syria and we spent about three days. We visited the main tourist areas, and we had fun adventures in the mountains paved roads between forests. Most beautiful thing is that the fruit was in season, and was fresh and delicious.

We got to the borders of Turkey and we want to visit, but unfortunately we couldn’t because my father and my sister's husband had left their passports with the owner of housing. *_*

Then we went back to Jordan to pack up our luggage, heading to Saudi Arabia. Our destination was Medina, and then to Mecca spent about a week or more. Then we went back to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and we spent two days just for shopping.

Finally, in July 3, 2008 we entered my lovely Oman, and I remember that I and two of sister’s passport s had expired on that day, but Praise be to Allah.
Most importantly, the trip was very enjoyable with my family and had a wonderful summer and special in my life.

To be honest, I wasn’t fortunate enough to travel for the purpose of leisure, therefore I can’t really talk about it. But I can tell you about coming to Malaysia! Actually before coming to Malaysia I barely seen anywhere in my own country, so going to another country made me very excited! So six months before coming here I started collecting information, from weather to cultural diversity and so on. Yeah! I was pretty excited specially that I was going to travel with both of my parents, my mother actually likes visiting new places, she has this “explorer’s spirit”, my father on the other hand pretty much likes to sit on a couch and watch the news!

The long-awaited day is finally here! We are at the airport, but we have to go to Tehran first, since there is no direct flight path from my city to KLIA, we have to go to Tehran two days earlier just in case, and stay at one of our relative’s place. everything was going according to plan, until one of the flight information officers announced: “Passengers of flight 419 Ahwaz-Tehran, due to technical difficulties please expect delays”, I’m thinking to myself that’s what happens when you still use 40 years old planes, honestly I have no idea how they’re flying these ancient artifacts! But whatever they’re doing they better don’t mess with my trip to Malaysia!

After like 5 hours, someone over the intercom: “Passengers of flight 419 Ahwaz-Tehran, please proceed to check-in counters”, they had better have said: “…proceed to check-in counters and wait another 2 hours”, anyways it was there that I heard from the other passengers that the problem was obviously with the landing gear! Are you kidding me?! You keep people here like 10 hours to kill them?! Let me tell you… I have no intention of dying!

Half an hour later, they announced that the problem is fixed and we can board the plane, of course they didn’t promise anything about getting out in one piece but that was enough for most of the people, because some of them were already dying of waiting, including me! So we boarded the plane, waited another hour in the plane, and most fun part was about to begin! Passengers splitted into two main groups, some passengers were really *%#!@$ off about the long delay, so they started complaining, and the other group were like working for the airline and were defending it, Stockholm syndrome?! I’m not sure! Anyway, I forgot to mention there was another group laughing at both of them, and I was one of the latter!

With all of its difficulties we made it out to Tehran alive! Of course I got out alive, then who did you think wrote this?! Long story short after staying 5 hours in the airport we went to another airport in outskirts of Tehran, and boarded another plane and that’s how I got here!

I was looking at the pictures and the place is totally AWESOME!Looks like i found have found the right place to spend my holidays with my family. Speaking about vacation, i miss the times where my family and i would embark on a road trip to a vacation spot. I still remember the times where i used to look out the car window to feel the breeze while enjoying the scenery. Trips to Frazer's hill, Cameron Highlands and to Kenyir lake are still fresh in my mind. The importance of family vacation is undeniable. Family bonds are strengthened through these trips where by it allows intimacy between family members. In these days where parents are too engrossed in their work, family vacations is a good way to strengthen the family bonds. It also allows children to be exposed to the outside world. Most of the vacation places are a good eye opener for children and also the perfect way to relieve stress. A walk by the beach or a short hike to the top of the hill may be the best medicine for the tired and weary souls who are stuck in the concrete jungle. In conclusion, vacations are important as well as entertaining. Well, looks like my family vacation will be sooner than expected haha...

Talk about vacation? What I can think about is from my primary school. I followed my school to Singapore after we finished our UPSR.

Have you ever go to oversea vacation before? Well, I only go once. It was memorable. I remember the time when we enter Singapore. The security was so tight until we saw some people who actually break the rule and brought cigarette who is illegal to brought in into Singapore.

Stop talking about security, we moved on to some happy memory. We actually enjoyed Singapore's food in Chinatown and it was nothing special compare to Malaysia Penang's food but the cleanliness is the best. Their hawker was so friendly that some hawkers actually chat with us and share about their life in Singapore.

Besides, we also go to Sentosa which is famous among the world. We watch 4D movie in there, visit their Tussauds and buy some souvenirs. At night, we actually watch a water show in Sentosa. They use water to create a screen to block the light for penetrating it. So, we can actually see images on the water.

We live in a hotel which near Geylang in Singapore. The hotel was named as 88 and the people in the information counter explain that they named it as 88 hotel because they going to build 88 branch in Singapore. Their dreams, don't you feel it? Their passion to actually make it becomes reality. Let's skip this, they also got pools for their customer. My friend enjoyed playing with it while I just sit in my room watching some movie.

It was a good experience for me. The best part about Singapore was their caring about their environment. They don't just throw rubbish as floor. They take care of country's cleanliness like taking care of themselves. So, if I have the chance to go, I will go there again.

Good day Dr.Zue.
What is meant by vacation?
Well, vacation means a period of suspension of regular activities, duty, and used for rest, recreation or travel. It has been a tradition in my family to go for a vacation during school break times since all other days my parents busy with their career and my brother and myself with our studies. It is still fresh in my memory in 2007, I went for vacation to South India. It was two weeks trip to India.
India is mystical land of dreams which is about the seventh of our world’s resides. It is also a country which has one the richest and most vivid history and heritage. First day we check in a hotel which is nearest to big city of India named as Chennai. Chennai is a busy city for 24/7 which Chennai is a city of shopping. The first impression as I walk to Chennai city was “Oh My God”! The crowd really shocked me. But I enjoyed to shop there and I bought quite a numbers of tradition attires.
The next thing strike my mind is their food. The one common people tend to face with Indian food is the spiciness aspect of it. The variety seen in Indian cuisine is unparalleled and unmatched by any other cuisine. Yeah…I definitely love their food as it was something new for me such as “chicken biryani”,”pasembor”, “carrot halwa” and “rajma”.
For the next 2 days I was at the coolest place in India which is Ooty. When I went to Ooty the temperature nearly drop too close to zero. One of the famous place in Ooty is Ooty Lake and Boat House. Ooty Lake is such a beautiful and peaceful place I ever visit. The sceneries was too calm that I feel like just sitting inside the boat the whole day. Just outside the Boat house local ponies are available for jolly rides at a charge. I went for few rides actually. Before I forget, Ooty is also famous for homemade cookies. The cookies is prepared once the customer order for it.
There, many other places I do visit such as “Thanjavoor” a designated for famous temple,”Thiranavalli” a place famous for Indian sweet such as “halwa”, “Kanyakumari” is place where we can enjoy our sunrise and many more places which I really can’t remember the name as it is hard to pronouns it. I really enjoyed my holiday. I hope to visit North India as my next trip to India. And definitely will share my experience in this blog after visiting North India. Memories never fade.

Nice place dr.zue!!!!! Perfect place! I will make sure I will come to IWH and swim all I want because as a muslimah quite hard to find a private place to do such activity. Liberating-stress-free like what my best friend used to say about swimming. Thank you madam for this post! I will look forward to go there one day.

My memorable family vacation would be Cameron Highlands, around 6-7 years ago. It has a mark on my heart because our family don't usually have the chance to have vacation. I was so grateful that I went there. Strawberry fields (play The Beatle's song please :P), tea plantation, cool air, cold water in the wee hour, scones and jams, and beautiful flowerssssss. 16 years old me clad in white scarf, white sweater, white jeans, eating waffles with white vanilla icecream on top and some strawberries. Already felt like a foreign country for me.Once I plucked a wild looking flower, sniffed it, and the smell made me hungry because it had the smell of kuaci seeds. It was a sunflower!!! The only difference was the petals was not full like normally portrayed by the fake flowers sold in the market

My dream country to visit will always be Maldives...the clean weather, the swimming dolphins, the clear blue water, the cool breeze, the sound of seashore, the swaying tall trees following the rhythm of the wind...with their local songs playing...very relaxing imagination...oh yes. some monkeys hanging on the coconut trees. Don't forget to picture that.hahah.... Can I take a flight now to Maldives?

My other wish is to visit Japan. I hope I can go there and watch Sakura flower falling on the ground, walking through pavement and buildings like in Shinobi game.. Study their tradition and disciplined culture. sugoiiii

The other wish need to come true, I wish I can go Makkah and Madinah. as well as Jordan. I want to see with my very eyes, the sacred place of Muslim, the architecture of the buildings, the beauty and awe of the history places...the intricate design of the calligraphy and Mediterranean arts...

I need to fill up my backpack now and run like Bilbo for an adventure X(

If there was one place I had visited in the past that I would like to visit again, it would be Tasik Kenyir at Terengganu. I last went there 5 to 6 years back when I was still in my secondary school. It was a school holiday trip for the family. Living here in Putrajaya, the drive to the lake took quite some time. Once we arrived at the jetty, we took a speed boat to one of the small islands scattered around the lake. The journey took around 15 minutes if I was not mistaken. We arrived at a secluded island where there were chalets for travelers and visitors like us to stay for the night. We rent a chalet with 3 rooms, spacious enough for the 7 of us to stay there comfortably. By the time we settled in, it was already dusk. After a tiring trip just to get there, we thought it was best just to have a rest that night. Our coming activities start the following morning.
First thing we did the following day was to take a boat trip to the Kenyir Dam. The dam was quite far out so it took a while to get there. Once we arrived, I have to admit the view was beautiful and yet terrifying at the same time. I remember standing on top of the dam, to my right was the vast lake, full of water and yet to my right, it’s as if I’m standing on a mountain, nothing but a 150 meter drop to the soil below. To me, it’s a marvel and a small wonder of the world. It’s amazing how the dam separates the one side full of water and the other side so dry. After some time enjoying the incredible view, we had our breakfast at a small stall operating at the dam. Once everyone was full, we had back to our chalet.
Our next activity was no other than canoeing. How can we not go for canoeing right? It was a lake after all. We had our Asar prayer and then lined up at the jetty to rent ourselves some canoe. We had to wait a while before there was any canoe available for us to rent. They had a system in which a person can rent a canoe for specific time only which I do not remember for how long. An hour if I’m not mistaken, because we used them for that long. I’ve always loved canoeing. I’m a person who is much better playing sports and recreational activities with my feet, but canoeing was always an exception. I find it a lot of fun having to coordinate my arms and hands well so that the canoe goes to the direction I intend it to. My siblings and I went for a spin around the front side of the island only because we were not allowed to wander too far off from the jetty. We even had a little canoe race of our own just for fun. Undoubtedly the best part of our holiday. It was a total fun although very tiring.
Night came upon us and our activity was the same as the night before, which was just staying in the chalet. In all fairness, there was nothing much we can do on an island at night, right? So we stayed indoors and watched some television. We packed our belongings and checked out from the chalet the following morning to head back to the mainland. What happened next were the common and usual things visitors do at Terengganu, I guess. Find a seafood restaurant, try out some sata, otak-otak and other foods we usually found only in Terengganu. Around after our Zohor prayer, we call it a day and end our short trip to the state. It was time for a long journey back to our home. This particular holiday trip was one of the holiday memories I had that I do remember vividly. Something about it just stands out from the rest. Having said that, I really wish I can visit Tasik Kenyir again in the near future.

HOLIDAYS! The word itself brings an enjoyment to every person who hears it. Of course holiday with the beloved ones especially with our family will be an awesome vacation ever. About 1 year back I had a vacation to Shanghai,China about 14 days. It was really a very good vacation there. We got to know many specialties’ and highlights in China. Before I proceed with the places, I was actually quite amazed with the architecture of the buildings in Shanghai. The buildings over there are really different from Malaysia because their architecture are really unique. I also got to know the secrets behind these architecture of the buildings from my guide. She have explained to us that, they do practice Feng Shui in their constructions because they want their buildings to be placed in the correct way so that good things happen. Not only that, they also practice Ying and Yang in their building constructions where it shows the good and bad energy. In China there is Yellow river which separates the City of Shanghai same as the Ying and Yang symbol. According to Ying and Yang, if there is a male there should be a female in their construction, so that it would be balanced. For an example, if there is a tall building it depicts the male and beside the tall ones a shorter building have to be built which depicts the female. All the buildings over there is in pair. Especially, the landscape of the buildings with colorful lights at night are really mind blowing and that is why Shanghai also named as City of Lights. I think everyone of us should throw a visit to Shanghai just for the lights in the city. I went to China in November, the temperature over there was like 11 Celsius to 16 Celsius. It was quite cold at night and we had to wear more jackets and gloves. China is also a big country with a large population of people. Their timing are really different from Malaysia. This is because we have to wake up at 5 in morning and the skies will be really bright at that time. From 6 to 7 we should have our breakfast, at 11 we should have our lunch and the worst part at 5 we have to have our dinner and at 8 we should be in our bed. We really could not adapt to this situation because the food over there is not as Malaysia. Even the Malaysian Chinese also could not adapt to it because it does not suit our taste bud. But in some places, the food will be good and we do not have to be worried about that. The highlights in Shanghai is the Pearl TV Tower. If I’m not mistaken it is the second tallest building in China. It is built with two balls. From that tower we can see the whole Shanghai city from there. The specialty in this tower is they a have floor where we can view the landscape of Shanghai City but the floor is a transparent floor. If we stand there, we can see rivers, buildings, roads and cars under our feet. It is really scary but if we made it to stand once then there is no problem with it. Then the second highlight is the Water Village. This is also a tourist attraction in China because the whole village is on the water. Their houses, restaurants and shops are all above the river. We should take a boat where a guy will be rowing it to see the view over there. It is also one of the busiest village I have ever seen. There are still many more highlights in China and everyone should go there. Especially the person who likes history should go there because they do have many places related to history. It is a good place to have a vacation and relaxation.

When my mom said family vacation, I was
like, "what??I don't wanna go anywhere."Actually,I feel more comfortable if I just stayed home all day. Why?Because I do not have time to afford to go back to my hometown during holidays. So, I appreciate the time I had during semester break. The other reasons was my father. When I finally have motivation to relax and have fun with my family, suddenly my father said that he had some work to finish before taking break.Because of that,I thought that staying at home is also considered as vacation for me as I rarely return to my hometown.

I still vividly remember the moment I went back to my grandfather hometown of Xiamen, China. It is a truly memorable experience for me to able felt the experienced in the mainland China.

Last year, my family and I and my siblings flew to Xiamen, China to visit my grandfather hometown. It was my first experience to travel to the origin hometown of the Hokkien people. In fact all of the descendent of Hokkien ethnic around the globe can be traced back to the Xiamen. I felt excited to be there as that I can understand my family root better.

We go to my grandfather house at Xiamen, we found the house was a very antique and magnificent in term of the design and structure. My father told me that in tradition, my grandfather and our ancestor lived in the house for centuries. It is then my grandfather who decided to migrate to British-colonized Malaya to venture his business potential even further. So that’s how our family root extended in Malaysia.

Another reason for us to be in Xiamen was it is my cousin wedding ceremonies, he is going to marry his partner and interestingly, the wedding will be held with full Hokkien wedding tradition. It is very different even in comparison with Chinese wedding ceremony. We enjoyed the ceremony and it is an eye-opening experience to know that Chinese has various diversity of culture.

The next day, my cousin brought us to visit the key-places in Xiamen, I remember the most where we visited an ancient housing area site that stood for centuries. It was very special as the house was carved and made out of stone. One fact that surprised and amazed me was the housing area was still inhabited by respective descendent of the families that stayed there for millennia. My cousin briefed us that the housing area was already stood there since the ancient era of China civilization.

Then we experienced the local cuisine and snack of Xiamen. We go to the downtown of Xiamen. Variety choices of traditional food and snack were available. It is a mixed experience for me as some of the food was out-of –the world yet some of it was too “unique” for my preference in term of food. I remember the reaction of my brothers when they saw the local food in the Xiamen. They cannot get used to it that they rather starved for the days and only eat after the back to hotel.

Truly, it is an awesome experience for me to able to experience the culture and lifestyle of the native Hokkien ethnics. I am grateful to be able to know even closer my ancestor’s hometown and able to share it to the others to know even better the hometown of the Hokkiens.
Thank you.

Salam Dr. Zue

Thank you Dr for sharing your experience. The Legend's IWH is quite interesting. Maybe i should suggest my parents to try there. Me and my family love to travel. Every year, we will choose a place to have a family vacation. Some of the places that i love are Universal Studio Singapore, Langkawi and Teluk Chempedak. The most memorable place that I've been to is Bandung, Indonesia. They have a nice place to shop because most of their things are cheap and affordable. I also love the food in Bandung. If you love spicy and aromatic food then you'll absolutely love their exotic cuisine. Indonesia has many nice places to visit. I would recommend you guys to go to Tangkuban Perahu. Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano and it has an astonishing view. You can walk around and explore this for around two hours. You guys should check out Bandung. Assalamualaikum Dr.Zue and to my fellow friends and blogger.
Here's my sharing abour vacation i had with my families.

Holiday.. Hooray.. :)
IWH is really give attraction to me . Maybe will be my next vacation place with my family .
The last place i spending my time vacation with my family is Langkawi where after I finish my SPM paper. It was really stressed out when I taking the SPM paper. Then my mother realise my behaviour and decide.. " Hey angah , lets go to Langkawi ". I was really happy because it was my first time going there even tough i was 18 years old at that time. After I settle my things that I take home from my hostels , i rushly take my backpack and arrange all my cloth and other things to bring there. All of my family members were so excited but sadly my father can't join the holiday vacation because can't get day off from work.
We start our journey at that time 10 pm by car. My mother decide to go Langkawi by car at that night . I accompany my mother drive a long the route we take. After 60 km drive , my mother was really tired and decide to take a short nap at R&R sikh and that time was 3.30 a.m. . After Subuh prayer ,We take a quick bath and some breakfast before we off to go to out next destination. It was really fun along the journey and thanks to god we arrive safely at Kuala Kedah which is located at Kedah Darul Aman.
It was 8.00 am when we reach at "Pelabuhan Jetty Kuala Kedah". After strunggle find some car park , we all take out our belongings from car's trunk and waiting for me to buy tickets at Waiting Area. The jetty itself were really crowded with many people even foreigner itself. When I see them , I was proud that they choose Malaysia as their vacation place. I was proud being a Malaysian citizen . Alright , back to story , i was que up at that time and buy 3 tickets for adult and 2 tickets for children. At that time , adult ticket each cost RM 27 and Children ticket cost RM 24. After i get my tickets , we waiting our bot to arrive at port.
The journey from kuala kedah to Langkawi took almost 2 hours to reach there. It was really fun when we boarding the speed boat a long the journey. Luckyly my family and I not get any sea sick. :)
When we reach Langkawi , our first priority is to find any chalets avalaible. After 30 minutes of finding , we found it located at Pantai Chenang. The chalet was quite good condition and the owner of the challet was so kind to my family too.

To make it short , what we do on Langkawi is eating steamboat at night , walking along Pantai Chenang at night, visit duty free shopping mall , riding a cable car , visiting underwater world and many more. It was a 2 day 1 night vocation at Langkawi. Although it was a short period of time , my family and I have a lot of time at there and it really help me release my stress out alot .

It was a very nice vacation holiday i ever have . After seing Dr.Zue articel about IWH , i plant to go there with my families. :)
Hope all of my classmates have interesting things to say about their vacation and share at here also . IWH.. Here I Come !!!!

Vacation is a period of time that a person spends away from home, school, or business usually in order to relax or travel. When talk about vacation, I remember when I was 10 years old, I went to Desaru Beach Resort in Kota Tinggi Johor. Lotus Desaru Beach Resort is a popular beach resort and hence a major tourist destination in Malaysia. I went there with my family. We stayed at a hotel which is The Lotus at Desaru and we enjoyed ourselves at night. While walked at the beach, I enjoyed the sea breeze, the performance of the stuff of the hotel make me feel happy.
Actually we were having the family day. So in the morning, we woke up early to join the activities.
The weather was quite hot but the activities were run smoothly. Until evening, we were still enjoyed at the beach. I think it is quite good because the place is so strategic to people do their family activities which has good accommodation and application. And don’t forget about the food. Malaysian food is the best food ever.
The next day, we went to the Ostrich Farm. I was so excited. I can experience the hundreds of ostrich in front of me and I learned the ostrich breeding process too. But unfortunately, I have forgotten about it because at that time I didn’t understand it at all. I also can stand on the ostrich egg and I thought it was a magic trick because it didn’t broke. And as I know, the price for feed the ostrich is not expensive at all. I think it is awesome to have the experienced like this because I can learn a bit about animals and can gather with my family. I wish that I can go to the place again.
My other wish is to visit Paris. I hope that I can go there and shopping as many I like. I like to have their foods and enjoy the nightlife in the City of Light. Such a wonderful thing if I can go there with my family.

I still remember my vacation to Goa when I was 10 years old. My family went to Goa which was my most memorable experience of life. What made this experience more memorable was that it was my 1st journey through air.I was very much excited at the airport. Before take-off I felt like sitting forever in the plane and wait to take off. It took 2 hours to reach to the Goa airport & our family enjoyed each and every minute. I knew that it was just half of the fun that we were going to have at Goa.As we landed, we hired a rental car which drove us to our hotel. Once we reached there we had our dinner. It was an italian restaurant that served us delicious food. This was really something interesting because in Malaysia we don't find this kind of exotic italian restaurant. Since we was still in a jetlag, my dad decided to visit the beach for the next day instead. I still remembered that I hardly slept that night because I was so much excited to visit the beach. You can say that I was literary dying to see it. We woke up early in the morning and straight away headed to the beach. We took our breakfast and then went to bath and enjoy the beach of Goa. The place was so crowded that we could hardly find a place to settle with our picnic things. The scene of sun kissing the sea was so exquisite. It was even more beautiful as I ever thought it could be. We relaxed there because the environment was very soothing and finally my searched ended too. Its definitely a place to forget all the worries & pressures of life. As I couldn't managed to sleep the entire night because somehow I wanted to visit the beach, all my tiredness was erased. The scenery there was indeed pleasant to be observed because there were many kind of tourists that came to the beach. Like, lovers whom was walking hand in hand, children's who were busy building sand castles, and the food sellers who had their own tourist attraction ability to lure them. Above all this things the soothing breeze that touches your skin gently and the water that meets my foot is definitely a priceless experience. After that vacation I had many more vacations but the very first vacation is really a memorable one. It is an unforgettable experience.

HOLIDAYs!!!
Holiday is a day of festivity or recreation when no work is done. A vacation for a holiday, I would prefer Singapore. Yes, I have visited Singapore and spent 5 days and 4 nights there and we had a great time there. A vacation with family is awesome and visiting a beautiful city with them, I’m speechless. To be honest, I’ve never seen such a beautiful city as Singapore city. Even, mentioning the name brings smile on my face now.
Singapore is a modern city-state and island country in Southeast Asia and known as city of Lion City. I have visited the Universal Studio Of Singapore, a theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It’s such an amazing place to visit. we had a chance to experiance Transformers The Ride , Shrek's Far Far Away and Madagascar theme, The Battlestar Galactica dueling coasters, the Lake Hollywood Spectacular show, Halloween Horror Nights , Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase and etc. Futhermore , the park consists of seven themed zones which surround a lagoon. Each zone is based on a blockbuster movie or a television show, featuring their own unique attractions, character appearances, dining and shopping areas. That’s is the main outline of the theme park and I will suggest the Universal studio for a better vacation. We are very happy to visit foreign country which makes us feel fun and joy. Thank you

Thinking back, I do have two memorable vacations. It was the first holiday trip I had with my family and the first holiday trip that I had with my close friends. Both of the trip memories are some of my most treasured memories.

My first holiday trip I had was when I was 10 and it was our first holiday trip. We went to Johor Baharu, where we spend around 3 days there. Although the reason we had the trip was due to attending a wedding of our close relation, we did spend some quality time together. We lounged in Eden Garden Hotel Johor Baharu (now known as The ZON Regency Hotel by the sea). Although I was very young, I still remember the room I stayed, it was really luxurious. We were lucky enough to get our room facing the sea and we could see Singapore from our room. At that time, there used to be a ship located in front of the hotel known as Eden Floating Palace, it had restaurants and some shops on the ship. The ship was destroyed by fire quite some time ago. We were there somewhere around Christmas, and since the hotel was attached to the duty free shopping complex now known as The Zon, so there were Christmas decorations everywhere.

We also received a complementary dinner meal send to our room on Christmas night. It was quite a meal indeed. We spent most our time outside the following day because we had to attend the wedding. The wedding was held in a church which was quite nearby, but we somehow managed to get lost and managed to find our way back by asking the locals. After the wedding, we stayed back, getting to know our relations and of course the wedding food. The following day was our last day, so we decided to spend our time at the duty free shopping complex. We bought most of the chocolates that we found interesting, and our parent had hard time controlling me and my elder sister.

The second most memorable holiday I had was my first holiday with my close friends. This was my first holiday without my parents. I have to admit it was quite a fun experience indeed. We went to Port Dickson, with around 6 of us. We travelled with my friend’s Avanza, a MPV, which has enough room for all 6 of us and managed to carry our luggage. We stayed in Golden Straits Villas Beach Resort for one night. The moment we unpacked our back, we head straight to the beach. We spend the next few hours at the beach. Some of us collected sea shells, coral stones, and I was in the water most the time. Soon, the sun begins to set, so we prepared for our barbeque session. We spent the rest of the evening having our dinner beside the beach. However, unknown to us, we were not supposed to barbeque near the beach. We were warned by the officers that were on duty near the beach to stop our activity, but luckily we finished cooking in time. Now tired, we went back to our room, had some small chat, and went to bed. The next morning we packed our bags, checked out, and left for breakfast then head back home.

Although holiday trips with family was good and fun, but it was an entirely different experience when having holiday trip with friends. It felt I had more freedom of my actions, and I hope can have more trips with my family and friends in the future, exploring different kind of environments.

That is the meaning of vacation in my life. Vacation are meant to be enjoyed. No one will be sad of vacations.

My unforgettable vacations will be on 2013.
I had this opportunity to india. Wat a wonderfull place isnt it.

Absolutely yes.. I get to spent 1 weeks there. Its a different feeling to be in a diffrent country . its surely not the same as malaysia.. Well malaysia always rocks..

We landed in tamil nadu the southern state of india..
Ita heaven for indian womens because its the place where they can shopping. This is very terrible for me when my sisters and mom went into a mall and came out 6 hours later... I and my father spend our time waiting while 1 of the servant from the mall served us with free coffee and tea every 1 hour...

The management of the mall had this waiting rooms where we can see all the gents waiting for the womens to finish shopping . the most unforgettable part i encountered with a man who was waiting nearly from 7 am to 3am the next day... Ladies are horrible in shopping(kidding)..

The next day spent all the way travelling to a temple town.

We continue out trip the next day because it took nearly 1 day to go to this place...

I cant remember the rest best whats the best india surely their tea and coffee made from pure milk.
Omg i cant forget the taste.. Its totally fantastic.

Hi everyone,

When I was 18 years old, I had an opportunity to visit the Great Wall with my

parents. That was my best vacation in my life, because my father, my mother, my brothers

and I spent three days together visiting one of the most beautiful places in the world.

There are several reasons why it was my best vacation. First of all, I like visiting

historic place and the Great Wall is a historic site. We were told by our tour guide that the construction of the Wall first began

during the Warring States period about 2,500 years ago.I was astonished. The tour guide explained, some kingdoms built huge walls

hoping to protect their territories. When Qin Shihuang or the First Emperor unified China

in 221 B.C., he decided to have the various sections of the walls linked up and also

extended. From that we got the Great Wall. The Qin Great Wall hasn't gotten much left

today. In the subsequent dynasties, the Great Wall was rebuilt many times. The last

massive rebuilding of the Great Wall was in Ming Dynasty. When I climbed the Great

Wall and I touched one of the stones, which built the wall, and I felt that I were in that.

Secondly, I like to challenge human limit to climb.

Moreover, the Great Wall has beautiful view. My brothers and I climbed toward the

highest spot of the Great Wall. It was very steep there and the surface was a little slippery. We climbed very carefully and finally we reach the highest spot of the Great Wall, it was

a fire tower. On the top of the fire towers we can see green mountains roll over one anther.

Lush trees dot the slopes. What a breathtaking view. This is why i like to share my experience of this trip to my friends. It is a memorable and unforgotten one.

The best vacation is when you go and spend your time with your family or friends. It's good to feel free from hectic works, stressful days in college and those people that annoyed you. Sometimes, we need to breath from all these stressful days and have some fun with our loved ones.

I spent my vacation with my family when I was a little kid. I enjoyed them much. But the most memorable places I've already visited were Medina and Mecca. I once told my dad that I wanted to go to Mecca. Then my dream comes true. I got the call to go there. I went there with my parents, so it's just the three of us.

We went to KLIA from Ipoh by bus for 3 hours. We reached at the airport at 6am. I was excited. Felt different, a bit nervous, anxious and everything. Fly high in the skies for hours, we finally arrived at Medina. Totally different from Malaysia. Different culture, different environment, can't describe how beautiful it is. When to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the design is too amazing, very nice architectures. All of them at Medina are friendly. They usually smile when they see other people coming to their place. It's good.

After days been there, we went to Mecca. Masjid al-Haram is totally mesmerizing and eye catching. It's crowded with people from the same place and from different places, but we do have the same aim in our hearts. Thats what makes it memorable. I could see how everyone's doing their duties as humans.

My agent did a great job on managing us. They were very fixed to their schedules. They showed us from one places to another places, we went around Medina and Mecca. They're very punctual with time. The way they served our foods, they gave us delicious foods and drinks. They taught us so many things. A very excellent way to run a business and treat their clients. Easy and not complicated.

If you do it with your family, it's surely fun.

share my family vacation?Last year me and my family went to Sarawak for my sister's graduation at UNIMAS.
After the graduation , we stayed 2 days at Kuching as a vacation . Went to Sarawak must try the Mee Kolo , Mee Kolo is a most popular food in Sarawak like the Mee Goreng , it can find at any food court and is a representative of the Sarawak‘s food . Visited the cultural village in Sarawak , it is mostly are showing the Ibans cultural , life style , food and ancient props . Orang Hutan also is a special representative at Sarawak so must no mistake this its . The staff using the fruits to lure the Orang Hutan came out from the jungle , so that we saw it and take the photo . For me Kuching is a nice place because Sarawak people always face with smile , racial harmony , have a simple life style , have the fresh air and green environment . During this time vacation I get new experience such as learn or understand new cultures like Iban , relax the body , see new place and what I never see . Of course before we back home must do not forget buy famous Sarawak pepper... haha~

What comes to mind when people say it is vacation?
Definitely, it is a time break for all the stress that we having through the whole year. It is 2010, I have visited Singapore with my family. To explain Singapore in one word is awesome. I can still feel Singapore even though it has been 4 years ago I went there. First day I have visited Singapore’s Changi Airport. It was just a random visit to there since my uncle is working there but it turn into some memorable thing. Changi Airport is one of the busiest place in world as thousands of tourist visiting Singapore. I have a chance to go near the place called Hanger where the aeroplanes are parked.
Then, the next day we visited a place called Little India or known as Seranggon Road. This is place where I always wanted to go as it is the best place to get “Chicken Biryani”. That time I was really craving for biryani. The taste biryani is still in my taste bud. And yeah before I forget I think the cendol also taste good. The way they do the cendol is so different. The place was so clean. I am surprised by a little girl age of 5 maybe. Her dad bought for a sweet. After she ate the sweet, she could not find a dustbin to throw, so she kept in her pocket. When I approach to that girl, and ask why she did not throw the rubbish anywhere then she answer me, she is one of the person who is responsibility for the cleanness of her country.
The most excited moment, I have visited The Universal Studio. There is so much things to tell about Universal Studio of Singapore. First, the is Sci-Fi City which is themed after what cities and metropolis may look like in the future, equipped with space-age technologies and the ultimate modern conveniences. Then, the ancient Egypt Zone themed after the rich Egyptian architecture found during the Golden Age of Egyptian Exploration in the 1930s.When I am the ancient Egypt I can feel how people live those time.
The last day at Singapore, I went all alone to explore the food at Chinatown. While I was at Chinatown the local food bandwagon, wind up Chinatown exploration at the famous Maxwell Food Centre. This traditional Singapore hawker that I went cheap and delicious local food .I tried to taste the turtle soup. It was delicious. The hawker will be busy everyday as it one of the tourist attraction place.
I wish to visit again to Singapore. Memories is the way of holding things that you love, the things you never wanted to lose. Again Singapore I miss you until we meet again.

Last year i went for an excursion which is mixed up with all kind of feeling and emotion that i thought might be just the sort of thing that would tickle your funny bones.Me and my friends went to Batu Ferringhi for enjoy our semester break. We had a wonderful time near seaside chalet. The first day moves very smooth and fine. This incident happend the next day where none of us had enough sleep because we went for a long walk to enjoy mother nature. We hired a banana boat. We even can't stand properly but we manage on banana boat. One of my friend had dealed the owner to make us fall twice. after the first fall, we hardly able to get on the banana boat but we manage to do it. The best part happened when we are on our way back. I hardly able to control my sleep. So, I slept off. And the whole banana boat turned over at middle of the sea. Thank god we had our life jacket on. Afterward some of my friend who doesn't even know how to swim and float was frightened and panic. Then only they realised that they are wearing safety jacket for their safety. The highlight was they all were keep calm and silent till they reach the sea bay. There was still puzzle going on my mind why they are keep silent, supposed they should whacked me on the time. This is the moment where i turned blank when all of sudden they all surrounded me and send me for a skydiving. This is unexpected and unforgettable memory for me because i am afraid of height. The point i would like to state here is that my best friend willing to pay a lot of money just simply to show me how it would feel when we are going through the most scariest moment in our life.Putting it in a nutshell,a vacation with the best friend always will give you a memorable and happiness moment for the whole of your life.

I think what I need now is a short vacation with my family or friends. Things in college make us so stressed up and we just need time to actually forget the stress and just enjoy the moment for a while.

As for me, I had the best vacation during last Christmas break. My family and I actually spent our holiday in Japan. It was a great experience indeed. I have always admire Japan for their technology, the beauty of the country, the tradition and not to forget, THE FOOD! The trip made me and my family closer to each other since we are not always home all the time.

Family vacation does not have to be oversea, nearby also can do. It is the matter of getting to spend time with our loved ones and also the chance to strengthen the bond with everyone. Vacation is always the best, so ENJOY YOUR VACATION EVERYONE!

Yeah, vacation is the only time for students to enjoy, and also reduce stress, especially going out for a trip with a gang of friends or families, but is actually very hard to arrange a time to go for trip together since each family member have a different schedule, so i really enjoy the moment when going out with family, it's on last year, everyone is on holiday, then my family and me went to johor and singapore to have a trip and also visit our cousins, it's really nice because those cousins are not often to meet, we really enjoy the moment together and having fun. The view in singapore is nice, the main city orchid in singapore, is actually something similar as pavillion in our country, but the mood there is better, we took photos and having dinner there. Its really a good memory.

Yeah!! Its holiday time. I went to Singapore for a vacation last year. We went to Singapore Zoo. It’s a world’s best rainforest Zoo. This Zoo is clean and it’s big. We feed giraffe. My family and I had a great day at Singapore Zoo.

The next day we went to Skyline Luge Sentosa. It is the first-ever Luge introduced in Southeast Asia, offering 2 unique type of experiences, the Luge and Skyride. With a unique braking and steering system, you can choose to take a leisurely cruise or race down the 688 metre Dragon trail or 628 metre Jungle trail – 1.4 kilometres of fun day and night. Although it is scary but it’s really enjoyable.

Next is Science Centre Singapore. Water Clock Tower is to measure wind speed. Furthermore, in the sensing brain we can learn about how we perceive the surroundings. Next is about the Omni-Theatre. The Omni-Theatre is where we can enjoy a powerful and immersive IMAX movie experience. Totally I would like to say that it’s not enough one day to visit all the exhibitions.

At last, I went to serangoon road. Here is where we can get food and also we can have shopping with cheapest price. The food was awesome. There are variety of food. My family and I ate Dum Briyani. It’s yummy. You will ask more after eat it. The one biryani is enough for one whole day. You won’t get hungry.

I had a great day at Singapore. I like Singapore so much. If got time, I want to go for a vacation at Singapore again. It’s really awesome.

Thank you.

The last trip I went was to SIngapore and it was only for a mere 3 days 2 nights visit. It was a visit to a family member who migrated there for better job prospect.

I have been to Singapore before but the last time I went, I was only visiting the regular tourist traps. This time however, my family decided to experience life there by opting to use the native transit system as well as exploring Singapore on foot.

I believe that describing Singapore as a very convenient nation is almost true owing to the fact that even in residential blocks, the ground level are sometimes outfitted as sundry shops, cafeteria and sometimes marketplace.

The transit system is also quite efficient having modern bus systems as well as a very complex mass transit system that brings you literally to anywhere in Singapore.

Sometime later on, I wish, to explore again as there wasn't much time in 3 days to explore Singapore on foot.

What's the point of having a vacation if it's like home? Home is where your Internet speed is at its best and having a vacation is where you ditch all that! As a tech person, I enjoy being at home more than anywhere else. You know these days, we all are. That's why my most unique and memorable family vacation is back then just right after my cousins and I are being circumcised. Yeah, that's right, we are in the midst of recovering from epic pain, and my grandparents decide to take a trip and it's at TNB Residence Hotel Port Dickson. Well, half of my father's siblings are all TNB employees and so am my late grandfather. So the trip cost nothing and we spend no big amount of money. A nice vacation should offer a reasonable price.

Skipping the arriving part and all of those boring stuffs, we're at the pool already! The second I thought about that I'm sure it'll definitely going to hurt, but my cousins, they are really just inhuman! I can barely walk, they've "cannonball"-ed to the pool already. Not wanting to be seen weak, I jumped! SPLASH!! And there goes the pain. It's so memorable I can still feel it right now. Being in the water for a while actually helped me, I can walk slightly easier than walking on the ground.

We've played until we're so bored in the pool and decide to go for the sea. Yeah, the sea which contain a huge amount of Sodium Chloride in it. And we ran straight into it. Wanna know how it feels? Imagine you've been shot so badly and then you throw tons of salt into it the wound. Just in our case, we've threw ourselves in the pool of salt. OH YEAH!! The pain!! The second we've felt it, we LOVE it! Unlike humans, we stayed!! We leave no man behind. We take each other's hand and grab our 'thing'. Backing up slowly while we've felt that glory is upon us. Slowly reaching for the ground shouting "Fall back!! Retreat!". We've fought more vigorously than any soldier's you've known or met.

Now, you see, a perfect, memorable, unique and rejuvenating vacation doesn't need to be pricey, high class or anything. As long as it's not at home and also you get to experience something like what we've had. Where you will remember and never forget.

Because you know, it's how we become MEN!! Oh the pain~

Hye Dr. Zue,
Vacation is so interesting isn’t it? We can spend our time with our beloved ones. As we know there are so many interesting and awesome places in the world including Malaysia. Malaysia is one of my favorite countries. It has so many ethnics, who can live peacefully in the same country. When there are varieties of ethnics, of course there are varieties of foods. I love foods to the moon and back.
When I have a vacation with my family, we always go to the places that have interesting foods. We enjoyed it. It is funny isn’t it? People always go to the beautiful and awesome place for their vacation, but we only choose the places that have awesome foods.

Nowadays we’re all busy with work and assignments and have had no time to relax and enjoy our life. As the saying goes all work but no play makes Jack a dull boy. If this situation escalates, it will take a toll on our physical and mental health. Hence, a vacation would be a good idea to help us relieve all this tension that’s been build up in our body.
The last vacation I had was in Taiwan, it was also the most memorable one. The reason we choose this destination was because I wanted to see the place where my parents spend their undergraduate years in. I must say we definitely made the right choice.
First of all the people there are really friendly, when we would ask for directions or any enquiries about their country, they would reply you with a cheerful smile and a positive vibe. The people in Taiwan are really patriotic, you can tell how much they love their country by the way they describe it. All in all they’re kind and pleasant people.
The main attraction of Taiwan the night market. It’s different from the night markets here in Malaysia. Taiwan’s night markets are really lively and its open daily. I went to this particular night market called “Shilin Night Market”, it is considered to be the largest and most famous night market in the city. Everything is amazing about it but the thing that left the biggest impression in me was the FOOD. Don’t get me wrong, the cloths and all the products that is being sold there is interesting, however being a food lover myself, I thought I was in paradise. There’s plenty of mouth watery and tasty food being sold there. The one that I loved best is beef noodles. You can taste the savoury chunk of fat beef with every bite, not to mention the feeling you experience when you slurp up the smooth and chewy noodles. The price is cheap too.
I went to many historical places in Taiwan, the one the left the most impact on me was a gold museum in Taiwan. Inside the museum there is this massive chunk of gold. They say if you can pick it up, it’s all yours but there’s a catch, that thing weights a few tons.
Overall it was a great experience. I got to know how my parents were spending their undergraduates years here, enjoy good food and meet beautiful people. I highly recommend you guys to visit Taiwan when you have the chance.

Hey everyone..

First of all, i don't always have the luxury of having a vacation with my family. But when i do, i'll make sure that every second counts, every moment cherish with beautiful smile and laughter.

I remember when i went hiking with my siblings and friends last year on a mountain name Yong Belar in Cameron Highland. The height of the mountain is 7000++ feet tall and it is on the Cameron Highland mountain itself.

What i learnt from this vacation is that the hardship that we need to face before we reach the top of the mountain. We were there for 3 days and 2 nights. We hiked early in the morning until the late of night.

The nature is fantastic, but the cold weather is unbearable. It was raining when we were climbing up the mountain and also when we were going down. The vines were slippery, and without team work i don't think that i can make it back home alive.

I learnt that there are alwanys hardship in life, but it can be counter if you're patient and calm before making any decisions.

When we got to the top, all the pain, the tiredness and the hardships was paying off when we saw the beauty of nature on top of that mountain. I felt that i'm so small just like an ant in a large world.

I hope that will get another chance like this again. This is the adventurous holiday that i ever had..

Vacations are a chance to take a break from work, see the world and enjoy time with family. But do they make you happier?
Researchers from the Netherlands set out to measure the effect that vacations have on overall happiness and how long it lasts. They studied happiness levels among 1,530 Dutch adults, 974 of whom took a vacation during the 32-week study period. After the vacation, happiness quickly dropped back to baseline levels for most people. How much stress or relaxation a traveler experienced on the trip appeared to influence post-vacation happiness. There was no post-trip happiness benefit for travelers who said the vacation was “neutral” or stressful.”Surprisingly, even those travelers who described the trip as “relaxing” showed no additional jump in happiness after the trip. “They were no happier than people who had not been on holiday,” said the lead author, Jeroen Nawijn, tourism research lecturer at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. The only vacationers who experienced an increase in happiness after the trip were those who reported feeling “very relaxed” on their vacation. Among those people, the vacation happiness effect lasted for just two weeks after the trip before returning to baseline levels.

My most memorable memories of my family and I spent was when we were at Australia. That was the most unforgettable experience that we had. I have never in my whole life step my feet to foreign country except for Singapore. Well I didn't felt going to Singapore is a best moment because Singapore is just like Malaysia. Yeah they have better infrastructures and such.
Back to my journey to Australia. It was very fun and such an unforgettable one. My first impression when we arrived there is to expect the weather will be a lot more cooler than Malaysia. but im totally wrong. It is actually almost the same to Malaysia. Just a little bit cooler, but not that cold. because I forget that we went there in summer.
We were staying at surfers paradise, gold coast. About a day after we reach there. Cyclone Marcia hit east coast Australia. And our place is likely will be hit by the cyclone. Heavy rains and wind hit us there. the temperature slightly drop and it is good to say that it has been cooler than the day we arrived. I have no problem about it. I love being in cold weather. It made me very excited since its always hot in Malaysia.
Besides the news about the Cyclone Marcia to hit us. we ignore that and enjoy our days there. lol. and there's not so many people at their theme park. that gave us a lot fun since we didnt have to queue very long for playing anything there.

Hello Dr. Zue
I hope you spent a good time there ,yeah family vacation is probably the best things to do with
during holiday or school break. Spent a couple of days in the hotel ,visit interesting places
around there and many more. I still remembered one journey to Pulau Langkawi. Pulau Langkawi one of the best
place to visit in Malaysia. A lot of international tourist there too. But for me ,the best moment during our family
vacation is back home with a ton of chocolate.

Assalamualaikum Dr.Zue,

Speak about vacation, actually I don't particularly have my favourite vacation but I do recall one of my trip which when I was 17. The venue was Genting Highland. I remembered this vacation well as there were many interesting things happened in my thought and one of them was I vomited on the way there. It was not once, but many times ! Thus it became my worse condition when we were in a trip. All my family members were joined the vacation and actually it is hard for us to reunite as I have 6 siblings included me alongside my parents. They usually busy with their work therefore my parents planned to do the vacation and it works! We hired a chalet for 2 days. And what was the most special about this vacation and why this vacation was difference from other vacation is that we spend all the time we had there in the chalet! In the chalet we could had family conversation and did anything together. Sounded weird but I love that because it could close up our relationship as family. Thank you.

I've no idea I would've become so much interested in hiking. My best memory of being somewhere, doing something would be my visit to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah several years ago with my taekwondo club members. Beside wandering around exploring a part of the Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the main purpose there was to hike the Kinabalu Mount.
The ground foot of the mountain itself was quite cold for us at beginning. Everyone was with their sweaters on! So do I! We had our own guide who is an indonesian guy. All along the way to the top of the mountain, we came across wonderful views, unique insects and reptiles I've never seen before and variety of flora's as we are going up to the peak of the mountain! lucky me, I saw the rafflesia! It was fully bloomed at that time.
All the other hikers passing by us were greeting us with a hi and it was quite awkward at first. Later on, I started to do the same! We supposed to reach the top of the mountain at 5 p.m. but we was still halfway hiked by then. By the time we reached our destination, it was around 11.30 p.m. but we was glad enough to made it safely. The only restaurant there was already closed and we all had to go to sleep starving that night. We stayed at the accomodation prepared there for us.
The next day morning, we had our breakfast, took a little snap shoots of ourselves and get started to climb down the mountain and this time, we enjoyed it as twice as we enjoyed climbing the mountain up! We even got a certificate.
I would definitely love to do all these all over again! It was such a precious memory for me to go to Sabah and had all these wonderful experiences. I enjoyed each and every place that I visited at Sabah. Maybe you will too.

Most people on earth would always enjoy holidays every now and then. Some people would like to enjoy their holidays with loved ones, others prefer to enjoy by themselves. For me, personally, I would always prefer spending my holidays with my family. The problem for me as an undergraduate, it is always difficult to synchronize my free time with my family to even organize a holiday trip. Every time I am able to spend my holiday with my family would always be a cherished moment. We seldom went out of Malaysia, but it would not matter as where we went, I would always know that we are going there just too truly relax and leave behind our daily routines. Travelling is one of those things that can so easily be put off until the time is right, or even until retirement in some cases. But, you know what, the time is never going to be perfect and plenty of people end up with other responsibilities in retirement.
There are times when you’re in a different direction without the relevant experience. But, of course, getting that experience is not always easy. One way to get that experience could be a study break, where you go abroad to get the kind of practical immersion you would never have access to in this country, all whilst enjoying learning about and experiencing a new culture at the same time. Staying somewhere for a significant amount of time allows you to dig below the surface and really get to know a country and the people in it. It is an experience that can be hugely rewarding and stay with you for the rest of your life. Even if you are staying in a country that speaks the same language, there are bound to be huge cultural differences, and learning about these, and getting to understand them, can be profound.
Going on a holiday trip could also be considered as one type of therapy for us to get our mind of something.

Ahh....the holidays. Everyone should enjoy some time off of their daily lives to just relax and recover. It could be a day of just sitting at home relaxing, out to the beach, or whatever pleases you most.

I've been to so many places in the world, following my dad wherever he's posted. I've lived in so many places, moved so many houses, lost so many friends, and learned a lot in the process. I have never stayed in one place for longer than 3 years up until a few years back when I returned home from the USA.

I would have to say that the best vacation I've ever had, was when my family and I went to Florida. We went to Disney World and a lot of other theme parks. My sisters and I are such adrenaline junkies and we love roller coasters and all that. So, it was a blast to be able to ride such amazing feats of engineering.

Disney World though, was something else entirely. It was truly magical. Ever since I was small, I've always watched Disney cartoons. And Disney World was but a dream when I was a kid. Who knew, we'd get the opportunity to be there ourselves and experience our lifelong dreams. Being able to cross off multiple things on your bucket list is very satisfactory. It was tiring, because we stayed over at the theme parks from 9AM to 12AM. We did this routine for 6 days. Just imagine the fatigue that we endured.

Though tired, it was all the more worth it. We spent our time wisely, eating on the go, while we line up for rides. We didn't miss any shows or rides, we just can't afford to miss them.

I will always cherish the moments I've had abroad, and all the memories, the experience could only help you grow as a person.

The Legend's IWH at Lukut sounds absolutely fantastic. I would definitely give it a try when I get the chance.

Hello Dr.Zue!
Vacation is needed by all people in this world. Vacation or holiday can be interpreted in many way. This is because different people have their own ways on intepreting vacation. Some will just say they use their vacation time by relaxation at home with their family members.

Somehow, some people loves to choose a good holiday places either it in country or overseas no matter how pricey it is as long as they can find the relaxation that they craving for.

Good holiday accommodation will probably attract more people eventhough the price is not to expensive but still it managed to get good income since its providing a good scenery and places to most people craving for.

In these days, people more looking for place that provide a good scenery and a quiet place after being busy in crowded and busiest place. A warm and peace place is good too.

Hi all,

It’s always nice to think about going to somewhere places for holiday. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, you will surely have a great time. In fact, such is the case if you avail of all inclusive luxury holidays. With great deals, planning won’t be a hassle, and you can focus on having a relaxing time. On top of this, there are other things that will make holidays beneficial.

The advantage is that the costs of travel aren’t very demanding nowadays, with the countless all inclusive luxury holidays you can have. A lot of establishments now offer discounts for flight and accommodation bookings, so you can save a lot of money; the bigger the original prices, the bigger the discounts. You just have to know where and when to look and be flexible when it comes to the date and location. After all, no matter what country you find yourself in, being on a holiday is always an amazing experience. As you can see now, we can travel all over the world with a small cost compare to years before this.

Other than that, another benefit of going on a holiday is the chance to experience something new. So, we can take an advantages to improve tourism industry in our country.

Thankyou.

Wow, this is the first time I heard about IWH.It's really cool, judging from how Dr described it in your post. It's been a long time since my family and I went to a vacation, like a really proper vacation instead of went to somewhere just for the sake of attending my relatives' weddings and such.
Anyway,I think that the moments we spend with our families are the only things that will determine whether the vacation is memorable or not.Despite I,myself feels kinda empty inside if my family is not by my side if I'm on a vacation with others.
Hoping that with this upcoming holiday we will go on a vacation, somewhere.I will try to persuade my father to pick this place :)

Since I was a little girl, i used to travel to another country with my family. There are many advantages for travelling with family. For me, if we compare between travel with friend and travel with family, I will definitely choose to travel with family. This is the time for us to spend our time together. Forget our hectic live for a while. Rest our mind. Travel also can create a closer relationship with family. Just short vacations, in Malaysia, there are many places to visit. Base on my travel experience, I went to Penang for several times, Penang became my favourite places to visit among the other country in Malaysia. This is because Penang is like heaven for me. So many foods, many interesting place to visit as well. I wish I have a chance to live there.

A vacation? hm interesting :) . But for me the best vacation is where I returned to my hometown and take a fresh air there. It's sound boring for others but for me that is the most important because i can met my dearest family and my sibling are united. Eventhough my family ever visited Langkawi, Kelantan and much more but return to hometown is the best of the best. It's not just take a fresh air while our brotherhood's relation became closer.

So, what i want to say is vacation not only for outside visit but also a hometown considered a vacation for me :).

Speaking of vacation locally, I think Pulau Langkawi is the best to travel. Langkawi is quite a distance from KL but you should go as far as you can when you are talking about spending your stress-free holiday and leave everything else in KL!

There are several ways to reach there. By air is the most hassle-free method while airfare can be a cheap as RM9 sometimes! Once you reached there, you can easily rent a car from any of the agent as the price are almost the same. With a car, you can go anywhere at anytime.

I spent 4 days 3 nights in Langkawi with my a huge group of my friends 2 years ago and it is the best part of my life. We rented 4 MPV and played around the island. There lots of activities in Lankawi such as hiking, swimming, island hopping, and even shopping. We got ourselves tons of chocolates from the duty-free shops in the island.

Travel brings power back to your life. So, travel more!
Thanks

That was a awesome description of your holiday.I have been to many places around Malaysia but my most memorable holiday has to be Pangkor Island. A ferry ride approximately around half an hour to reach the island kicked off the holiday. We went there as a family. The beautiful part of the vacation was the island hoping adventure, where we had an awesome time exploring the marine world and her richness. Snorkeling was an unforgettable experience with so may fishes swimming around you at such close proximity. Never have I experienced such a thing. The marine world alone was enough to compass the direction of the holiday to such amazement. It will be the most cherished holiday ever.

I have always loved beaches. I love the delicateness of the white sand beneath my feet and the refreshing feeling the sea breeze gives off. Being at the beach definitely gives me some kind of tranquility.

When I was a kid, my father used to take my brother and I to play at the beach. We would swim for hours and build some sandcastles, then we would watch the tiny crabs wobbled on their feet and do everything every other kid in the world would do at the beach. My father also taught me how to swim, however despite his best efforts, I am still a poor swimmer.

Those were best moments and going to the beach was the thing I would look forward to when weekends came. It was like a short getaway (not that I had anything I had to run away from, anyway I was just a schoolkid), a low-cost family vacation. After all, going to the beach won't cost you as much as getting on a plane and fly to some foreign islands.

I had travel in many state around malaysia but my favorite place in langkawi of course bcoz in langkawi we can do 2 thing which is hving a vacation and SHOPPING . Langkawi is a easy place to deal with ur parent, bcoz a woman love shopping n a man love to buy soemthing cheaper. But the greatest place i have go is Mecca n Madinah while doing my umrah in early last year. No place could compare with mecca because you will feel amazed n greatful that you finally make it to do your umrah/haji. In Mecca n Madinah also a good place to release your stress while doing your worship.

If travelling was free, then you can never find me at the same place twice. Being in a vacation is all that I ever want. It’s like leaving aside all the hitches and snags and just appreciate the moment we have with our loved ones. One of the best vacations I had was the stay in Singapore for two nights. Well, that place was just world class. The first phrase came to my mind upon landing was “Looks like Singaporeans do take cleanliness seriously”. I just feel Singapore is almost flawless. For entertainment, I did go to Universal Studios and trust me; it was a mind blowing experience. Personally, I feel going for a vacation needs to be done at least annually. It kind of gives us a little room to breathe and relax despite the travel destination.

" My last vocation is when i came back from a sabah. The weather was mostly good, albeit I was imprisoned in the hotel for two days because of heavy rain. In the beginning, I did not think I could stay at the hotel for two days. However, when I started getting acquainted with the other holiday vacationers I totally forgot about the bad weather conditions and started feeling better. The group of my new friends grew hour by hour. They were offering me drinks and I never refused.

In the last three days the weather forecast was absolutely wonderful, so my friends and I planned a trip to the local market in order to buy some souvenirs. When we reached our destination the most amazing thing for me was that I had to haggle over the price for every product. Before arriving to the hotel we ate at a restaurant. I ordered a serving of stewed vegetables, which tasted lovely, and lamb that was somewhat bland.

This should be pretty close to correct. Also, I removed the line: "Eventually I ended up at different rooms each night." This is not really a correct/incorrect issue, but more of a cultural issue. In English, particularly after the discussion of alcohol, this could have a subtle, vulgar meaning. English can be very subtle about this, with sayings such as "sleeping together" or "staying in a person's room for the night". Since it does not add a lot to the general idea of the story, I removed it, but maybe someone else could give their input as to what they think about this sentence.
thank you

While it's a common theme for most young people to go on vacation where they know there will be a variety of activities in which they can try new things I, however, like to go where I can unwind, take in the scenery, and enjoy the company of my family and friends My ideal vacation would be camping in the quit mountains of a state park or relaxing on the shore of a beautiful beach.

Although Ive been on five vacations, out of those five only two of them were rememberable experiences. Two vacations I remember most were when my family and I rented an amazing little hotel room in Cititel Hotel and when my friends and I took a trip to Malacca.

The first vacation we took that meant so much to me was when I was 15 years old my parents and my sister and brother and I went on a family vacation in
to KL. It was also the time I spent alone relaxing on the screened in porch and most importantly the time I spent enjoying the company of my family. We there together a week and a half that summer with no TV or Internet, making memories I've never forgotten.

The 2nd vacation I took was when I was seventeen. Myself and two of my closest friends. One thing I'll never forget about this trip was the excitement of waking up every morning to the smell of breakfast cooking over an open fire. It was an amazing experience feeling to live life without all the technology we have today! But what meant the most to me wasn't the smell of eggs and nasi lemak but rather, being surrounded by the most extraordinary views of nature and historical places We spent an entire day floating down the parks. It was amazing to feel that close to each other and to the earth God created.

Vacation is the best time to spend our time with the family. Like the others, my family and I will also spend some of our weeks in a year for vacation.

The most memorable vacation for me was when I was in primary school. We went to Langkawi for 4 days.

Langkawi is a strategic place to spend our time together. The panoramatic view along the beach, make everybody falls in love with it.

Since my sister and I are natural lovers, so, my father brough us to several places in Langkawi that related to nature.First, Underwater World, Langkawi. This place promises you with thousands of new experiences about under water world. There are lots of sea craetures that fascinate myself.

Next placed was cable car. The cable car connects from one hill to another which is called Machincang Hill. At the last stop of the car, we can see the view of Langkawi from top of a hill. Wonderful view for a natural lover like me.

The last place i went was, Mahsuri's Village. This is not a natural related place. But, this is the 'must visit' location for those who visit Langkawi. Your visit to Langkawi will not complete if you did not come to this place. The myth of Mahsuri with her white blood story, is something that very interesting to be known.

As a wrap, my vacation to Langkawi was a memorable vacation for me. I gained so much new information that cant be get in class. So, lets go for a vacation everyone!

Hello Dr.Zue,

Once I visited Hyderabad in India with my parents and grandparents. Later my cousins joined us there. I cherish those memories and time spent with my family till date. I visited and saw many beautiful places. I visited a lake known as 'Husain Sagar'. It was such a beauty with a statue of ' Gautam Buddha' built in the midst which enhanced it's beauty. The city is decorated with trees and greeneries which adds to it's freshness and makes the climate very easily adaptable. The food is also very different in the city and also the nature of people which is very humble and sweet.

We also visited India's most famous filmcity known as 'Ramoji Filmcity'. The visit had been my time of life which I spent with my cousins and family. We had many rides, learned how things work at bollywood and other things too. They also demonstrated how they bombard a building in films and how they create false houses and villages for shootings. They were having all a virtual world made up in their area which we toured through a bus. We visited a magic cum ghost house which was really hilarious and scary as well. They have very well built 3D and featured rides too. One feels as if the whole filmcity is being attacked by some terrorists or something when you ride it's elevator which is really outstandingly featured 3D view with the whole city being perished in front of your eyes but soon your eyes decieve you when you come out of the tower, as everything's fine as normal. The tower was the best part of my whole visit to the film city.

I always cherish my visit to Hyderabad and wish to visit once again in my life time.

Ever since I moved to Malaysia with my family we did not have the chance to travel as much as we used to do back in Iran. The only time that my family and I traveled for a few days was a short trip to Cameron highlands. I absolutely love the weather; it was so different from the hot and humid weather we always experience in KL, it was cool and breezy. Besides from the weather what really the strawberry farms were so amazing, I just love strawberry and walking beside all those strawberries was a different experience. I found tea farms so beautiful and eye catching as well, there was a harmony of green color all over the place which makes you stop and stare for a long time. We stopped by a restaurant to have a tea break, near by the tea farm; the view was so beautiful from that perspective .I also bough myself few bracelets (which are actually my favorite bracelet so far) . We had some good ice cream with lots of strawberry on top. And also lots of strawberry candies. The trip was so amazing and full of strawberry!!

Who doesn't like to create memories of happy times that can be looked up in the future through photographs? Family vacations are memories that every person is fond of and treasures close to one’s heart, much like a milestone in life.

I went to Kuching, Sarawak for a vacation last year. Only three of us which is me, my mom and my father. It's quite nice and really a good place so far. I've been there for 3 days 2 night. Kuching is the capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, and though the internet is full of information about Kuching’s history, its places to see, and its inhabitants, what none of them tell you is the story of its soul.

A great way to spend an afternoon in Kuching is cruising down the Sarawak River. Several companies do one and a half to two hour trips up and down the river in the late afternoon leaving from the Waterfront. The cruise will take you up river where you can see some of the water side industry along with traditional villages including houses on stilts right beside the river. Downstream you will see some beautiful buildings including the Astana and waterfront mosques. There are great views of the city from the water and splendid sunsets.

Then we went to The Astana Palace.Located across the river, the elegance of this beautiful white building attracts every eye.The gardens are always open to the public while the building itself is only open to the public during official ceremonies and functions.
At night, it's all lit up and makes for a nice sight from across the river.

There are a several places left.We had lots of fun. This is a great way to get to know family members more deeply and to spend some quality time together outside of our normal routine interactions in our day to day lives. No matter how simple or extravagant the vacation, the act of getting together with relatives and doing things together strengthens family relationships.

Salam Dr. Zue,

Vacation is a path of relaxing our stress from doing a lot of things. Robots need to break, machines need to shut down and workaholics also need to break. Yes, everyone need to rest. As a human being, we need vacation too but type of holiday we shall take? Rest at home only or travel outside? For me, spend time with my whole family is most precious holiday in my life. It is because I have 9 siblings and 2 already married so it’s hard for us to gather all together. When I with my family, the feeling of relaxing appears inside me. I could feel happiness, gayness and calmness. But if we could able to travel, it would be pleasure to me and my family. The vacation would be exciting and more fun.

I still remember pieces of memorable moments of gathering with my family. One of the moments is during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri’s holidays in 2012. It was really special and adorable moment because usually my family couldn’t able to gather all the family members but this time the family members whose study abroad had graduated and able celebrate Raya together.

The pavements, trees and even the vehicles by the roadside were covered under the thick layer of snow. As I walked down the streets, the refreshing winter breeze blew against my face. It was like a dream come true. I was in Japan, the country I have wanted to visit all my life. That December holiday, my parents finally decided to bring the family for a holiday in Japan.
When we arrived there, the first thing that struck me was the scenery, it was just unbelievably beautiful. It was winter already and I clung tightly onto my winter jacket as we waited for the coach to the ski resort. I never thought I could ever experience winter and witness such gorgeous landscape, that I could only once admire from books and television.
On the way to the ski resort, we saw snow covered mountains from afar as well as the frozen rivers and little kids ice skating. The snow outside looked so soft I could not resist but felt the temptation to get out of the bus to touch it. That was also the first time I saw snow. When we finally reached the ski reso...

Talking about holiday actually reminds me about the holiday trip that I went with my family last year 2014.Our dad normally doesn’t get much holiday and that disabled us from going to any holiday trip.Last year we went to Malacca along with my uncle’s family. My uncle was coming to Malacca from Perak and we were going to Malacca from Kuala Lumpur. We set our meeting point at the Malacca tol. After we reach,we first find for car parking which was quiete hard to find and after around 30minutes,we finally found one. Then we went for lunch at an indian restaurant. Then we begun with the Malacca most famous ride known as “beca” which is actually a tricycle ride which would be decorated with dolls, toys, flowers and also with sound systems that has serious bass. That was so enjoying with a fair rate. Then after that,we went to the icon place of Malacca which is the A Famousa. The most historical place in Malaysia. The place with full of history of blood shed.It was tiring to go around all the historical buildings and areas.Full of knowledge and if we see the place,we could imagine how it might have been during the war. Then after the long walk,we went to have a try on the most famous Durian Cendol and the kentang putar goreng. It was so good. After we went to the jonker street and waited about an hour to get place in that famous Yong Tau Foo shop. After all that fun,we have finally packed up to go back.It was a very short but fun trip that we went in my life.I hope to go to another place this year.

"Holiday" regardless of its indeginius meaning, it has a special meaning to everyone of us depending on their characters and personalities. Some of us would enjoying working during his holiday to pursue his/her dream. Some others would go on trips to revive and refresh their lives. For me, it is like drinking water after a long thirst.

Who will hate to go for vacation. In my personal opinion, vacation is the best way to relax our mind and also enhance happiness in our life. I have the best experience ever in my life where I went to Langkawi. I explored the most beautiful place in Malaysia. Langkawi is the main POI for the Malaysians and also for the foreigners. The things over there such as chocolate, junk food and souvenirs are cheap and quite reasonable. Langkawi also have place of attraction such as Dataran lang tengah , Sky Bridge, cabel car , and so on.
To conclude this I would like to recommend everyone to go and visit Langkawi because it's such a beautiful place and even the best place in Malaysia.
tq ;D

The best feelings of our life is when we heard the word vacation. Haha. The best part is when we know that we going for family vacation, the love and care that we give each other in family members. We can see at family vacations with great fondness and warmth because of shared moments with loved ones. Today's families are very busy—too busy to take a vacation some might believe. Add to that financial loss and living in uncertain economic times, and many families feel as though they simply can't take a break. However, routines and rituals, like vacations, are important to the health and well-being of families. It's healthy to take a break from the daily demands of juggling work and home. We should consider the benefits of play and family time together and perhaps redefine what vacation means.

Peace dr.zue, experience the holidays I was near the island of Langkawi. before we took ferry, we took a bus first. Time to board the ferry, it takes a long time before it gets to stay home. When I was in the ferry, I saw many beautiful fish and a variety of colors in the water. Once we arrived at the inn, we were dressing to go bathing freshwater river near the hill bunting dayang. The atmosphere there is very comfortable and beautiful, till I was amazed to see it. After we bathe there, we went out to see the sights by boat to the beach. After we had reached the beach, we swim at the beach anyway. I'm very excited and this is a wonderful holiday I can never forget because langkawi island is very very lovely to me.

But my most favorite part is at the very top floor, there is a theater where there are moving canvas paintings showing process paddy fields. I can see how the green paddy fields turn into yellow

So happy to see they are enjoyed with the trip . Next , we went to Malacca Wonderland , the water theme park . The price is so affordable compare to the water park at A'Famosa . Eventhough its not huge as A'Famosa , but its quite awesome . I really enjoyed my vacation trip with my family . Nothing much to be shared because my memories with my family is so precious . I cant remember the last time i go holiday with my family. I guess the last time was when i was 11 years old wow that was 9 years ago! haha before my mom and my dad divorced when i was 12. I always wanted to go somewhere with so-called-family but my mom is too busy with her stuff, she always tell me to wait till i get married and have my own family. Talking about dream holiday destination,i have this thing called love for this one country called Turkey. You have know idea how much i fall for Turkey. I love turkey because of their food,Oh food, glorious food! I’m a total foodie and for me a food is simply enough to make a special trip to another city or country. History,I love history and therefore countries which have much to offer in this field wins my heart!Simply want to underline that not many countries in the world have a longer, richer and more ragged historical heritage than this superb country! Natural wonders,Im sure one fine day it will be one of my best travel experiences of all time! No kidding, I love this place! Beautiful, deeply Turkish. Charming. Oh and you can do hot air ballooning there! Turkish people, wow. There is not enough words to describe how funny, welcoming, charming, people loving and helpful they are, i never visit Turkey but i just know what turkish people like. Diving, If you are thinking of a great diving spot which is not that far away from Europe you should consider Turkey. The architecture,You know! I love Arabic architecture! And Turkey is filled with it. There is something very much my cap of tea about this architecture, patterns, colours and symmetry. Yes, you got me! Turkey is filled with centuries of history, styles and outstanding buildings. Bazaars, Who doesn’t love them. We all do. Each of us for our own reason. Some for shopping, some for smells, some for colours and some like me for observing every day life and people in their natural habitat. Sellers, buyers and watchers. Traditions Turkey and Turkish people are very faithful to their traditions and I love that! I’m a big sucker for traditions! Why? Because traditions makes you feel like a part of something bigger. Because foreign traditions allows you to experience things you could never experience in your life.Sweets, I know I have already mention food. But Turkish sweets deserve a separated place on this list, dying to have a taste :( Ancient archeological sights. Water, Water is something I can’t imagine my life without! And no, I’m not talking about drinking water we all need to live. I mean water in the sense of water being present, like a sea, ocean, lake, pond. Last but not least, I love Turkey!

Everyone love to travel and spend their time with their love ones. Being in a vacation are the most beautiful moment when you can put all of your work burden a side and enjoy your time perfectly. Back then when it was 2000, I still remember my father took me and my mom for holiday to Port Dickson. During that time, my father said to me that he was very stress to handle and facing all kind of people who have bad attitude in workplace. Then he was planning to take a vacation to Port Dickson with all of us. At first, it was only planned to be a 1 week vacation but then, it was change to 3 week vacation. WOW! It was a 3 week holiday and I don’t know what to say anymore. That was a fantastic vacation I have ever experience because we travel all the way to Melaka and Negeri Sembilan and we visited every single interesting placed there. The most exciting moment when my father teach me for a 4 days straight on how to swim at the hotel’s swimming pool. That was the first time I swim and that was the first time ever that I can swim myself without using life jacket or what so ever that help you swim. It was fantastic and that was the best vacation ever in my life.

Hi madam. Sorry for the late comment. I enjoy reading your travelogue. Yeah it must be so nice holiday with family. I used to have an awesome getaway with my big family. This time include all my cousins, aunties and uncles from ayah's side. We booked a bus and decided to go to Terengganu, Cameron Highland and Kulim. I don't really know how much it costs since I was only 14 years old at that time. The most enjoying part is when I can singing, gossiping and teasing with my cousins in the bus all the way. The more the merrier. We feel like our bonding is getting stronger, and my mum provide us homemade food for us to eat. For me, this is one of the best holiday I ever have because we are not bounded with agent or whatnot but we are on our own, we can go where we want. My cousins and I were also held a 'bbq-party' at a beach in Terengganu. Our chalet is near the beach, so it is easy for us to prepare all the things. We also playing guitar, dancing all the night, hearing to our parents' stories and so much more. I enjoyed my holiday. I wish that I could have another getaway like this soon, real soon. That's all. Thank you Dr Zue.

Hi Mrs Zue,

How was the trip there? I hope you have a good time there with your family. My condolences to you about your late husband. I just knew about it as I read through a few posts in your blog.

For me, the most important thing in a family is the bonding and maintaining the good relationship among the family members. Despite of the busy schedule that we face in today's world, family always should comes first.

To bring a family to a short vacation can be a good start towards building a good family. It doesn't matter where will it be as long as it is meaningful and cheerful to the whole family.

As for you my beloved teacher, be strong. I know you are a very good and sporting lecturer. I like it that way. I hope you know that we are always there to support you.

Thank you Dr Zue.

My most memorable vacation is last year during Chinese New year. Where my family, my classmate, Yaya and I went to Kuching to celebrate Chinese New Year. During the celebration, we get to enjoy, play and see all those fireworks played by the Kuching people especially during the middle of the first night of Chinese New Year. The fireworks was amazing! Nearly all of the houses in Kuching played fireworks. During the Chinese new year eve, this is where all my dad's family, cousins and friends get together and have dinner. We met up and ate at the Rooftop, which is located beside our hotel. The food was mouth watering. We ordered black pepper crab, sweet 'n' sour fish, few fried vegetables(which sadly i couldn't recall the name of the dish), clear soup and lots more. We enjoyed our dinner and conversations. On the second day, our day was a little bit hasty because we have to visit our relatives.Nevertheless, atleast my friend and i get "ang pows" from visiting. Apart from visiting and and celebrating, my friend and i , we went to a lake near our hotel. The Lake was so wide and there's a lot of people too. There was a bridge connecting the lake from one end to another end and that is where we were headed. When we went on the bridge, we did look down and saw lots of fishes, there's big, small, colourful ones, one colour and even few turtles too, swimming around near the bridge. During our last day of our vacation, we went to my dad's friend's shop, Uncle Mong Hui. Every time before we go back to KL, Uncle Mong Hui always called the lion dance to play in front of his shop. The performance was enjoyable and fun because we can get to see a lion dance perform right infront of us.Lastly, i would like to say that he reason why this vacation is memorable is because i get to enjoyed the culture, the food and the excitement shown from my friend, Yaya as she had never been introduce on what is like to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Hello Dr. Zue,
Firstly i was very happy to read your post that you have a very wonderful vacation, so i also have an very wonderful vacation want to sharing with you. The place that i most like for vacation is Penang. Most of the people know Penang is a "food paradise" that's is the reason i choose this place as the best vacation place for me. The first food i will eat when i step into Penang is "Muah Chee" (Translate from the Chinese word "麻糍").This food can found everywhere is Penang and mostly are self-made. They use the glutinous rice and cook it till it become dough. After that they will cut into a little capsules and mix up with peanut mixture. The taste was sweet and when mix up with peanut it was prefect!

The second food i will eat when i travel in Penang is the Asam Laksa. Our family know a restaurant that have been selling the Asam Laksa for long time, i was remember the first time i having their Asam Laksa i was just about 10 years old. I can said their Asam Laksa was the best in town. The taste was not too spicy. The last time i went there the price for one plate of Asam Laksa is about RM 3.50 only.

Lastly i hope i have another chance to travel there and having all the yummy food.

The most memorable vacation with my family that I could remember was when we went to Frasers Hill. I know, it doesn’t sound that interesting or fun but the reason we went there was to get out of the hustle and bustle of the big city (and the bungalow that we stayed in was free, so maybe that could be another reason). First thing I noticed when we were there was the heat or lack thereof. It was so cold that I felt that we were in another country. For the few days that was spent there, my family and I had a laid back experience, just going around the town and buying some strawberries eating here and there basically not doing much. Even if the vacation was uneventful, I did find the local townspeople very friendly and helpful when you’re in need of some assistance. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to get away from the city and just enjoy some time with the family in a cold and fresh environment.

Travelling is considered as the best getaway for anyone in any age. The best reason to travel is to get away from your current life which causes hectic and stress in your life and just have a moment with your family. The last vacation I remembered going to was back on 2012, my mum’s side of the family went to Sarawak because that’s where my cousin held his wedding at. It was a memorable moment. A vacation trip with a big group of family was really fun to be and hangout with. We could do everything together despite of being lonely. I remembered we stayed in Hilton hotel and half of the floor was mostly occupied with our family. The hotel was great and the food was very nice. The benefits of travelling was mostly about discovering new food at different places. As humans, we tend to search for better things in our daily life just to make it interesting.

Hi Dr Zue, I'm Chong Keat. I can't remember the last time was a family trip, but the most impressive about 9 years old 2002 year Langkawi travel with family. We sailed the boat to past Langkawi, then father rent the car over there. In 2002 year, Langkawi in most places yet to be developed and my family unfamiliar routes, we ask the locals routes and rely on maps. Father has been lost and the wrong route, leading I sickness and vomited on the road motion . Night market are near my hotel, there sell something very special such as shell wind chimes, jewelry, souvenirs and etc. Speak back of my hotel very funny, and now I share with my friends, my friends laugh. My hotel tripped and blackouts at night. In the waiting time power is restored, my parents brought me and my brother out to watch the sky. The sky is Beautiful because filled with many stars. I believe now difficult to see the sky to fill with many stars. The next morning, we had the breakfast in hotel. After breakfast we drove to the aquarium. Same I motion sickness and vomited on the road. Finally we arrived at the destination, this is my first time go to the aquarium and very curious about what's inside aquarium. A lot of fish inside the aquarium, I was most impressed by a shark bones exhibitions, sharp triangular teeth are looked scary. Afternoon we take the lunch over there. After lunch, aquarium had a water show, the divers to feed the fish in the water. After dinner, we go back hotel and take the rest. Same with last night, blackouts again. How time flies, next morning after the breakfast, father returned the rent car and sailed the boat come back to Penang island。

Recall the memory of Langkawi travel , now is very difficult to experience . Example get lost, power outages and etc. In 2002 year, technology less developed, so we have a lot of time with a family. Now science and technology developed, the journey can not hear the sound of laugh and talking with their families. The smart phones or phone game replace the laugh and talk with family in the journey.

Thank You :)

Hi Dr Zue,

We believe that traveling around the world should not be hard, but it should be something everyone should do at least once in their lives. Same goes to me, the place i visited was Bali.It is a feeling that is difficult to understand unless experienced but once visited you are surely compelled to come back and you may even want to stay forever.

For our family trip we stayed at the Bali Swiss Villas. There is an unbelievably wide range of restaurants, spas and world-class activities and shopping all within close distance and at very fair prices. For us, we love a good bar, good food and shopping, so Seminyak suited us perfectly.

For my family, Bali was so different, so lively and unique from anywhere I had experienced recently. My memories there are less from physical activities and touristic sites and more from feelings, small moments, and scraps of information I picked up here and there.

Family vacation should be a very nice and happy memories for everyone, because everyone of the family members will spend their 'precious' time with their family and together they will create a wonderful memories during the family vacation. But, family vacation does not necessarily will create a wonderful and unforgettable for some people. It does will makes them feel unforgettable but also will makes them feel sad, because it will remind them of something bad.
The most unforgettable family vacation for me is we had a holiday at Permai Beach, Sarawak. Permai actually is the resort name but not the beach because as I know, there is another resort besides Permai Rainforest Resort, that is Damai resort. So, because I'm staying at Permai Rainforest Resort so I'll call the beach as Permai beach. If anyone staying at the Damai resort, they will call the beach as Damai beach. It's funny isn't it?
Let's talk about the beach and the place. This beach is the cleanest and the clearest beach I've never been before and also the place. When I first reached there, the first thing that appeared in my mind is "Wow, I'm alive!". Because the air is fresh and I can smell the smell of the grass. I can smell the nature!
The resort, it is very unique because it is not like the common one that every time we will stayed the apartment and condominium. What am I said that resort is unique? Because the resort is been build in jungle. There is three types of accommodation, the first one is Tree House. The Tree House is truly unique but it is limited because its only have 10 units. In my point of view, I think the tree house is more suitable for couple but not for family. The second type is single cabin, each single cabin can fit in 6 adults. It is very cheap just cost RM 300 for each cabin. The third type is double-storey cabin, it's only one unit, so if wanted to stay in it you really have to booking earlier.
In this resort, there are many facilities for tourist. The one I like the most is their jungle pool. Jungle pool is not an artificial swimming pool, it is build by using all the big stone and the pool water is flowing down from the mountain, so, it's really cold, but it was fun! The jungle pool is nature pool I could said, because they did not use chemical to clean the pool water, but if you think that it is dirty I would say that it is not and it is very clean. Because they design of the jungle pool is just like the water fall, the pool water will keep flowing away from the other side, so it won't be dirty and smelly.
At that night, it was raining heavily, so we just stay inside the cabin. Try to imagine, if you are staying inside jungle, besides there's a beach and at that night it is raining heavily, how will you feel? For me, I felt relax. And in this environment, it is good for us to relax ourselves not only physically but also mentally. Listen to the nature sound, the sound of the sea, the sound of the leaves carried by the wind, all the nature sound. It also is a good time for us to spent with our family, we can chatting with our family, play with them and spend our time properly with them. Just like me, actually Sarawak is my home town, just that my younger brother and I was born in Kuala Lumpur and our family live in Kuala Lumpur for a very long time. So, we were rarely return to our home town. Thus, this is the right time for me to get close with my other family members. During that night, we were chatting together and playing together till late night. It was very meaningful for me. We not only get to know each other more we also try to help each other on our problem.
That is why this vacation is the most unforgettable for me because I have create another wonderful and happy memories with all my family members. Indeed, spending time with our own family is more happier than we spending time in the shopping mall, on our works or with our friends.

vacation give us a break from our routine and help us to refresh ourselves and go back to work with renewed energy. They are not only meant for enjoying but also for pursuing our hobbies and interests. During vacation we can live our life as we want.
After working hard throughout the year, school break are eagerly awaited by students and teachers alike. school break my family always goes to a Cameron highlands. we enjoy ourselves, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, in the lap of Mother Nature.

Cameron highlands are located in the far northwest of the state of Pahang, just over 200 kilometers or 3 hour drive north from kuala lumpur. This cool mountainous region, the highest on the Malaysian mainland, rises to 1500 meters above sea level, making it a popular escape for international travellers and locals alike.
A nice waterfall along the main road leading to the Cameron Highlands is too compelling not to stop by. The waterfall is easily accessible and apparently quite safe to take a refreshing shower underneath the falls or in the small pools (keep your bathing costumes ready if you do not wish to come later all the way down from your hotel). There is a small market next to the falls selling local souvenirs and fruits.

Cameron highlands is well-known to nature . First of all that I most excited when I saw tea tree that was planted in the hills there, beautiful landscapes. second the fruits there which is strawberry and corn, there are very sweet strawberry fruit and also delicious corn, the feeling eat in the orchard itself with eat at home that very different.
To rest and calm yourself down with the family or have honeymoon, Cameron highlands best place. Fresh air, interesting sceneries, there are various species of plants and there are also waterfall. Fruit and vegetables fresh there are sold with the cheap price. Very fun when we can go on vacation, spend time with the family. Close family relationship again. At every moment with very invaluable.

Hi Dr.Zue ,

IWH sounds like a really good place for a relaxing family vacation.I still remember when my family and I had a vacation in Kuantan,Pahang last two year.It was a very memorable vacation for me because I really had fun during the vacation. To get there it will take 3 hours by driving a car from Kuala Lumpur.During the vacation we stayed at this very nice hotel called Swiss Garden Beach Resort. As you entered the hotel lobby you will be greeted by this splendid view of the beach. The hotel’s staff are very friendly too. Then we went to our room which surprisingly quite nice and comfortable.

The next day , we had our breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel provides variety of delicious food for breakfast. After breakfast me and my siblings went straight to the pools. We had a really fun time at the pools. In the evening we went to the beach. The beach was nice and clean. At the beach you can do many activities such as playing in the water , playing kites and watersports or you can just relax and enjoy the view.

At night , we had our dinner at this very well knowned seafood restaurant called Ana Ikan Bakar. The restaurant is big and there are plenty of parking space so you don’t have to worry about finding a parking space.Ana ikan bakar serves variety of fresh seafood. You can choose the seafood yourself and instruct them how do you want them to be prepared. The service is quite good considering the number of customers coming in which quite a lot. The price also quite reasonable.

We had a really good time staying in Kuantan.I would recommend this place for a vacation to have with your family.I hope I can go there again in the future.

Good day Dr Zue,

Going for a vacation with family is surely one of the methods to run away from our burden. And
that is the right time for us to get closer to our family. So, last year i went to Langkawi Island and i admit it was a very good trip i had there. Many people think that Langkawi is a one big island. They do not know that Langkawi is made up of several island that form the Langkawi island. While i was there,i feel relieved because i wake up every morning there watching the beauty of the sea.It is so crystal clear and mesmerizing. When we are talking about the cost of the trip, it is very affordable. We do not need to worry about accommodation as there are a lot of affordable chalets, hotels and houses to be rent. You can also rent a car at reasonable price so you can drive to your favourite places. What i want to say is,it is worth the time if we choose Langkawi island as our place for family vacation trip.I enjoy and love that island

Teluk Kemang is about 12 kilometres from Port Dickson town in Negeri Sembilan. It is a popular beach where many people go to and relax on.
It was on one of the days of the Chinese New Year holidays that we had a picnic at Teluk Kemang. I went there with my uncle and his family. There were five of us, my uncle, his wife, their two young children and me. My uncle drove us there in his car.
We arrived there at about ten in the morning. The beach was already crowded with other holiday-makers. Anyhow we managed to get a place in the shade of a large tree and we put our things there. My aunt laid out a mat for us to sit on.
In double-quick time we were enjoying ourselves in the sea, except my aunt. She just sat on the mat watching us.
The water was cool and refreshing and I loved splashing it on my cousins. However the hot sun above can be quite uncomfortable. So after about an hour or so, my uncle told us to sit in the shade for a while. The sun was getting increasingly hot. So we reluctantly came out of the sea.
In the shade of some trees we built some sandcastles.
Time passed so quickly. Soon we heard my aunt calling us to have lunch. We ran to her and helped ourselves to the delicious curry she had brought. Then we had several glasses of ice-cold drink from the Thermos flask.
After lunch we played a while more in the sea. The sun was just too hot. So we walked over to one of the hotels nearby and washed ourselves with clean freshwater.
When we returned, my aunt had already packed everything in the car. So all of us got into the car and my uncle drove us back home to Seremban.
