We're back:) Now let's check out the KL roads...hmmmm...clear! very clear! For once, we enjoyed travelling by car. Otherwise, we had always imagined travelling in neutron tube, or invisible jet plane, just to reach our beloved shopping mall - Mid Valley Megamall...gosh: was it barely ten minutes??? Felt like a jiffy...really...
The shopping mall was not crowded at all. Seemed like there were too many shop outlets compared to shoppers...not proportionate huh??? The queues at Carrefour and Jusco were most astounding...two three people in every row (that's including me)??
Now, what am I saying? Yupp:) i really miss this slow, old pace in life...free from the rat-race and hustle bustle of modern society...free from congested malls and roads... free from endless waits at LRT stations, bus terminals, and cashier counters....
No more traffic marmalade! (jam)
Nevertheless, there's one thing I don't appreciate when there's no crowd at shopping malls...correct me if I'm wrong...thought I saw the endless rows of blouses and beautiful dress before raya at Jusco..today, everything has vanished into thin air...where have they gone? disappeared? oh no!!! YES to no shoppers! BIG NO to no more attractive items!
So I ended up having breakfast at Mac D, lunch at Chicken Rice shop, and killing time at Gardens...nice quartet playing Raya numbers at Gardens concourse...particularly the "balik kampung" raya song originally from Allayarham Sudirman Haji Arshad.
Welcome home, everybody. Glad you've all arrived safe and sound.

We live in a complex and advanced world. The days of doing things manually does not apply to our current society. Therefore, we strive to achive and invent more to ease our live. As a result, "The rat-race"(Zue, Para 3) to achive and obtain more in the form of money and status is abused. It's not wrong but the way of obtaining the success; corruption and loan sharks, just a few of examples is not acceptable.. Thus, correct your intentions and do not make wealth and status as your master.. live virtuously and modestly.
Watts UP Puan zue....!

Hey there Pn.Zue,
Omg! Is it really there's no crowd at shopping malls, I've missed this peaceful environment in such a hustle bustle town like KL. It didn't always happened..or at least I've never experience shopping with such a heaven environment, no shoppers!Yes, I totally agree with you, Pn.Zue, really a BIG NO to no beautiful & nice items! By the way, I do hope everyone arrives home safely, and do come back to campus for revision week! Oh my gosh, exam's just around d corner!
Take care~! :)
Salam Pn. Zue...
Yeah, I'm definitely agree about that. Like Shubie said, silence can kill somebody. That's mean not the silence can take our life, its mean that our life will not be filled with joy and fun. Imagine your life with no all that, can you life without that? Of course the answer is no."SEPI". That word will suite the person with no joy and fun. With that, I think traffic marmalade or something like that actually can make our life more colorful and enjoyable. Traffic jam, enqueue at counter can be said as our daily routine. Remind me if I'm wrong. To make this clearer, traffic marmalade eventually fill most of our life.
Assalammu'alaikum,pn zue...
i'm sorry..i just a little bit agree with your opinion... but for me,,traffic jam is very busy..i hate it...
In the present, the traffic jam is a big problem in the city. It has many causes such as a quantity of vehicle has increase, an accident in the road etc. This problem is hard to solve and increase appears along in third world country. The traffic jams effect to economic and society for three reasons.
First, the traffic jam can make pollutions. It’s cause air pollution because the vehicle discharges bad gas toward in the air. In addition, the noise of engine in the vehicle can make a noise pollution.
Second, it effect to economic of nation. The vehicle that stops on the road for a long time uses the fuel oil very much. The fuel must be imported from foreign country, so the government has to use a lot of money to buy fuel too.
Finally, it effects to people. A bad gas of vehicle can cause many diseases for people such as lung cancer. Besides, people stay a long time in traffic jam that can make a stress for people.
In conclusion, the traffic jam has many effects to environment and society, so we should solve or prevent this problem.
hi mam..hw r u??
mam i just read the post n not too satisfied wif ur post mam..tis bcz nwdays traffic jam is biggest problem which cause more ppl stress...especially in kl...the roads are damn jam n make drivers so tension..other than tat traffic jam aso make accident...normally wen holidays time n festival time...the main problem is nw days in malaysia got a lot of ppl use cars...tis makes alot of trafic jam...to overcome tis i hope malaysian will be smart by using public transportation or smaller vechicle frm car which is motorbike...tis will reduce traffic jam in malaysia...or v also can predict a suitable time 2 drive the car in roads wif the help of media massa...tats al frm me mam...i hope malaysian will change thier attitude...n be a smart malaysian...thx u vry much...bye...tc...
yes...i agree with u....
itz really nice 2 drive during holidays coz less vehicles on roads.....but not that less..
However, i would like 2 suggest u something.....try taking KTM 2 Mid Valley....itz cheap n saves petrol....hehehe...
hi madame zue.....
traffic....traffic....traffic....
doesent's ends...
i hate traffic jams.....
it kills our patient....
summore gains our stress...
and also burns out our petrol in our vehicile.....
even our time also running when we stucked in a massive jam.....
so, to overcome this problem...
we listen to the radio that have traffic reports that always updated......
besides,we also can use GPS to navigate the roads which doesn't have traffic jams.....
So, i think if we use tis points sure we can redude traffic jam.....
if there no traffic jam in kl is so weird yea???do u agree with me???supposely...hehhe
but it mybe juz ur luck that day ma'am..hehhe..hope that no more traffic after this..huhu
Hi Madam Zue..
In KL, it’s so weird when there was no traffic jam. For me la.. I’m sure that almost all Malaysian hates traffic jam, neither on the road nor while shopping. Am I true? But, KL is centre of Malaysia, so stuck in traffic jam was been one of daily activity for people there. I think there are many various way that can be done by our government to prevent ‘TRAFFIC JAM’. Let me go to my first idea. The government need to introduce ‘car pull’ to citizen. Either they’re working at same place or nearby, they should use only one car to avoid many car on the road. ‘Car pull’ also can save time and money. This is because only one car is used. Besides, air pollution also could be decrease. Every car makes carbon monoxide that’s really bad to our earth. So, by the way we can save our planet from global worming. Shall I move to my second point now? Ok, my second point is, if all of you didn’t like my first suggestion, you can think about my second idea. We can use public transport. In Malaysia, there are many public transport ready to used. Moreover, it’s fare is available. There are Rapid Kl, LRT, and other. Public transport also able to used by many passenger. In the nut shell, government have to do a lot thing to prevent traffic jam in Malaysia.

wow! it's amazing! i can't believe it especially when u said that the road at KL is totally clear and very clear.huhuhu... hurm...
as we all know, traffic jam is very synonym in our daily life especially for those who are staying at a big city. but, how can we prevent this phenomenon happen again and again and again? any solutions???
actually, there's a lot of solutions that we can take to prevent traffic jam. one of them is by using the car-pool method. this recommended activity is quite efficient. other than that, by using public transports such as monorail, bus, and taxi can helps peoples to prevent traffic jam.
i think that's all for now. TQ!
Our surrounding will be so quiet when it comes to festive season. Everybody will be heading back to their hometown. It is indeed a very peaceful moment of life. But somehow i felt empty as if my family and I are the only living creatures in this earth. I miss the hecticness of my surrounding no matter how annoying it may be. When i wake up in the morning and hear car's honking; that is the kick start of my day knowing that my family and i are not alone in this earth. Hahah
For me, i hate traffic jam...Traffic jam is a big problem nowadays.. Tis problem is hardly to be solved..tis is mayb the increasing of the number of vehicles in the world...Traffic jam problem brings lots of effects...Firstly,First,it makes a lot of pollution not only is air pollution but also is noise pollution..The vehicles give out the unwanted gas to the air will pollute the air environment seriously...Furthermore, the noise produced by the engine of the vehicle can make a noise pollution.Tis will affect the mood n also the mind of somebody...Secondly,traffic jam will also leds to car accident...It happened when the car trapped in the traffic jam try to overtake other ppl lanes on the road..then it crash wif the opposite coming car....we almost can know the car accidents news daily...From tis clearly shown tat these problem should be solved!!Finally, traffic jams also affect people's health. The wanted gas of vehicles mayb cause diseases for people such as lung cancer. In addition,it also cauz the psychology problems like stress for people when the driver was staying a long time in traffic jam. Hence, we sholud try our best to solve n prevent traffic jam..
If I were to come up with a list of 10 events that annoys me the most, traffic "clock"(jam) would certainly be one of them. It's totally absurd to travel 5 km in 25 minutes, thanks to the scourge named traffic congestion. However, in holidays, this is no longer the case. I can drive right in the middle of the road like i OWN it! Sometimes i think it's pretty ironic as Malaysians buy cars to reach their destinations sooner; however, this makes the number of vehicles on the road sky-rocket, which, causes traffic jam, and we defeated the purpose of buying an automobile in the first place. Nevertheless, when the roads are "car-free", we really get into a "carefree" mode. We'll feel inexplicably calm, moods getting better and mouths curves upwards - all of these that cant be bought with money. In a nutshell, in the ultra-modern age, we have to take the good (superb facilities in city) with the bad (traffic jams).

Assalamualaikum Puan Zue.:)
First of all, i would like to wish you Happy Eid Mubarak !forgive me with my all wrong doings in your english class.:).Let's just forgive and forget, shall we?hehe.:).I would just love and agree with this post.Basically, traffic marmalade or traffic jam is a condition on road networks that occurs as users increases, and is charaterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increasing vehicular queueing. The most common example is the physical use of roads by vehicles. When traffic demand is great enough, that the interaction between vehicles slows the speeds of the traffic, traffic congestion is occures. And, when vehicles are fully stopped for periods of time, this is colloquially known as traffic jam. This traffic jam is most occured when the raya festive time arrives especially on the highway roads. There are a few steps or precautions that must be taken in order to avoid traffic jams. What we can do is that we can map out some alternative routes before we starts our journey and we need to try the alternatives routes that has been planned. Secondly, we must play with our timing to reach the destination. We could also check the traffic report from the internet before we leave.Last but not least, in fact we are now living in this new era of modern technology, so why not we get our own GPS device with life traffic updates during your commute. I hope that all my precautions steps to avoid traffic jams is very useful to all the road users.
Traffic jams are now a major problem in most cities. However,it seems that people are not prepared to give up their cars and use other forms of transport.so, to overcome this problem...we should make it well known that everybody have a consensus what the less cars people use,the less traffic jams people have. This can be the most cornerstone way of solution.Only in this way can we see a more quiet and cleaner city than before.
hye pn zue.
i agree with this post.i really hate traffic jam.traffic jam have lots of bad effect such as it becomes a cause for rash driving and road accidents involving loss of lives.beside,it will delays, which may result in late arrival for employment, meetings, and education, resulting in lost business, disciplinary action or other personal losses.not enough with that, traffic jam will produce stressed and frustrated motorists. in this case, it will encouraging 'road rage' and reduced health of motorists.
in conclusion, traffic jam is bad.according to this situation, goverment, police, and driver must be more careful while driving or while stuck in traffic jam. 'remember loved ones '
thanks

well...i get what you mean pn.zue but for me,no traffic marmalade a.k.a traffic jam makes my life easy as i can go wherever i want to go in a jiffy.i hate when i stuck in traffic jam because im not the kind of person who likes to sit in a car for a long period.its really bored and pissing me off.moreover, during this raya holidays.shopping mall is not packed with people.i even went shopping peacefully a few days ago.
hmm...im going to miss this situation but im ready to go back to slow pace and full of traffic jam again.
selamat hari raya pn.Zue :)
Pn Zue, i totally agree with this post. I have been in KL in first raya. And there is no traffic marmalade. hahaha. It was the best day in my entire life to see that KL is not crowded with people and cars. It was so amazing :D
Syimir Izzaffy :
When i stuck in the traffic jam, whoever that in the car with me can hear me talking like there is no ending of the world. this is because it is the time or situation that i hate most. previously, when im still at kid, i always saw my mum and dad doing car pool with their friends, but today,we can see that every person is driving one car. We cannot blame the people because they can effort to buy the car,but for the sake of traffic jam,why not us continue this 'old style'. Im totally agree with you Puan Zue, festive season is the best time for me to watch movies because there is no more long queue just to get 2 tickets from GSC or TGV counter. But in other side,it is kinda weird when we see kuala lumpur is out of crowd. besides, there are more Bangladesh and Indonesian people than our people in town when the festive season is coming. so,in conclusion, i will say that, i love to see kuala lumpur being as usual, because living in weird empty kuala lumpur will also turns me weird :)
No traffic marmalade?? That would be everybody’s dream comes true if that happened in Kuala Lumpur every day. It is like every single day we could see traffic jam there and there and people rushing to go to work, school kids make a sad face in the bus because they wish they were at school on time, and housewives went to supermarket in the morning. Wow, what a very busy traffic we got. Plus, the police traffic also tries very hard to solve the traffic jam but still... The traffic lights make people angry sometimes even they did not have face or have a voice...right? Why is that? Because traffic lights did not have a perfect basic timing functions. Sometimes it quickly turns to red after a few second it turns green.
Also, why more and more people use an emergency lane while they not even having an emergency? Oh yeah, using an emergency lane is like very easy and very fast, and everybody is left behind stuck in traffic jam. But please do realize that it is so dangerous and very risky. If you used emergency lane, you do not know what happen in front, maybe there is some cars having problem and emergency and stopped at emergency lane, or maybe ambulance need to be very fast to get to the hospital. We did not know. Okay, this is not what I’m supposed to say.haha
Traffic jam, really waste your time. I like what you said that “we had always imagined travelling in neutron tube, or invisible jet plane” because I always imagined the same too. Plus, it is not just the road that has traffic marmalade; we have it in the parking building also. How long do we have to face this traffic jam thing? Even though the roads are being widened but still the road is full of the vehicles.
No traffic jams? Wow! Very fun! We can conquer the road! Not only the road, the Midvalley too. There are several ways to reduce traffic congestion. Especially during festive seasons. Road users need to plan trips to the direction they want to go. We can know where congestion occurs and are easy to plan trips. I like what Sarah had said. Those tips are very useful for me and others. For the time being, while shopping mall is out of traffic jam, let us conquer the mall!! But then, nowadays people like go shopping. Finish all the money they have. As well as I am. Hehe. Got “duit raya” go to the mall and bought something. No savings! Please don’t act like me. Saving is very important in the future. I am reminding myself and also who read this comment okay? So the mall will full of people who are shopaholic. Be happy during hari raya guys! Go back to the main topic. There’s always having traffic marmalade (jam) after the school break or festive seasons. So, don’t be too “yummy” but be patient while driving. Have enough rest before start your trip. Just have fun during the journey. In conclusion, plan your trip and have saving account for your own good. That’s all! =D
No Traffic Marmalade ? It somehow suprised me when i get through your post here. Well, nowadays as you can see, traffic congestion is becoming a major problem to the city especially Kuala Lumpur even on the festive seasons. Malaysian seems not to bother anymore about those festive seasons. What i mean is, the vehicles on the road still keep on increasing day by day even on the festive seasons. The malls still flooded with a lot of people. I've experienced it before on the 1st day of raya. I went to Pavillion with the relatives and we're had the thought of on when it's festive season, the mall will be much calmer but our thoughts proven wrongly as the people seems to be more than ussual. Furthermore, the 30 minutes journey from damansara to pavillion turned to be 1 and the half hour to just reached at pavillion. Instead of spending our time at the mall, the traffic jammed took a lot of our time in the car. So, my conclusion is whether its on festive seasons or not, the congestion on the road will always be the same or even worst as the car users on the road are rising up everyday.
hye pn. zue
all those shows dissatisfaction on this matter.
traffic marmalade bring many disadvantages.
traffic is certainly wasting time of motorists and passengers.
Delays, which may result in late arrival for employment, meetings, and education, resulting in lost business, disciplinary action or other personal losses.
Inability to forecast travel time accurately..
other than that, wasted fuel increasing air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions owing to increased idling, acceleration and braking. Increased fuel use may also in theory cause a rise in fuel costs.
and it is certainly applying pressure to the highway users..
damnnnn...
road users are expected to act rationally and quickly fly
hopefully..
based on your topic,i quite agree with you pn. Zue...for me,traffic jam makes people hate to go through it...it can makes people be unpatient and so on...because of this thing, people always miss their meeting, classes,an event and others...people must prefer to share vehicles, get a motocycles, use public transport to overcome this problem...that all from me...thanks...
Assalamualaikum Pn.Zue
I think that this topic is quite interesting.
During the holidays like 'Hari Raya', both city and town are as quiet as graveyard. It is because all the shops are closed and there will be no business. Therefore, businessmen will suffer loss. For example, Jalan Tengku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur is like a ghost town. Some people would take this opportunity to organise illegal racing at the empty streets.
No traffic marmalade? For me, the crowds are very annoying, because I find it so hard to breathing when in busy place. When Raya or any School break attack Malaysia , everyone had lost their mind on mall . But for puan Zue’s condition , I’m sure u’re pretty upset with the sale. Of course you’re very happy because there’s no crowd at shopping malls. If the same thing happen to me, I’m very sure the is no more mercy for the malls. HAHAHAHA :P
no more traffic marmalade? for me its kinda awkward specially when our kuala lumpur free from traffic jam. yeah, for once driving
in KL can make us calm and relax..but then the silence can kill somebody. KL is a big city,soo..traffic jam is a major things. l love the
hustle bustle of the city..its make the city more lifefull. But traffic jam really annoyed me.. i hate it because its slowing me down and i bet everyone too. Queue up on traffic jam can make us mentally sick. these is because is causing a very high level of stress. unfortunely.. theres
nothing much that we can do to overcome it...traffic marmalade already became way of our rutin life.
salam Pn. Zue,
err. is it true that KL's road is being lonely?never thought so, i wish i could have a good time to see. I say this because i need to have a good time to relax on the road. Its must be so lucky when we still dont need to put our risk on the road. Why? Ouh, sure you know about crazy drivers. have a nice living day pn. Zue. :D
