I'm one year Older, Wiser and Stronger:)

I celebrated my 38th birthday on Hari Raya Kedua, 2nd day of Eid. It's a wonderful feeling, and everybody important in my life showered me with wishes and prayers. I know that some actually pray for my health and happiness every other moment, but it's just this special day that makes everything extraordinary.

I visited my parents' humble abode and this brings back memories, definitely. They have left me for quite some time already; and I miss them so very much. I guess some of you who share the same predicament would understand how I really feel...Nevertheless, their spirit, aspirations and endless love and care lives in me in every step i make, till eternity. Last year, I celebrated my birthday with a kenduri. But that was still during Ramadhan, and the whole family sat together and prayed for ultimate protection and happiness for our beloved parents, may they rest in heavenly slumber.

Thanks to all my family members, friends and beloved students who have wished me a very memorable Happy Birthday on my birthday. I pray may God bless all of you with plentiful happiness and rezeki, too. Alhamdulillah, I have a very lively and happy family and very enjoyable and rewarding job, indeed.

So, I'm 38..he..he..2 more years to be 40...ouchhhh! yah! too bad - I have not really accomplished much in my career:) but that's really beyond my control. I shall continue to work hard. Pray that my Dean finally acknowledges my integrity, loyalty and quality that I have put for the faculty and university. It's mostly in his recommendations...everybody knowwwwwwws that!!! Sob! Sob! This is my 8th year in UNITEN, and i'm still only a lecturer by position. Others who are younger and many years younger have all been promoted...but not me:) Let's give this place till end of this year, before I succumb to depression, frustration and exasperation! huh:) For now, I shall be sttrrrrrrong.

I hear you!!

Time is very precious because, we can not turn back time, not even one second. As we continue living, all those precious memories are kept within our heart, waiting to be recalled.Every now and then,a few flashback would not cost that much time, however, it can help us to strive for a better tomorrow or the least, make us smile a little.
What we experienced in the past are things that make us who we are today. When we go back in time to those memories, it help us realize what and who are the most important to us whereas as we grow older, we tend to forget those things.Clearly, it is the thing that make us remember our origin and our true goal in living in this world. Our friends and family are those who make us realize that we are not alone in the world.
Failure is compulsory for everyone in this world.Sometimes, we forget all those failures after we have reach certain success. When we faces obstacles on another journey to success, looking back to the past will help us motivate ourself and increase our determination because we had tasted success before and we know how to evade failure.
No matter where are now,at the end of the day, we still need to look back and give a thought of what we have been through because all those precious moments will help us make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.

hi meow10...it's about work life, dear. we seek professional development and establishment in our career. unfortunately, we adults don't alwiz accomplish what we aim for, not because we don't meet expectations, but due to other reasons that are so hard to explain...ritz chewan has put it very nicely...so, to handle this frustration, we need to be strong in order to better cope with the pressure. rezeki ade di mana-mane...cuma sebagai manusia, kita digalakkan berusaha untuk mendapatkannya...selebihnya kita berdoa pada Allah semoga bos-bos dunia terbuka hati untuk menilai kita seadilnya..hmmmmm...and u r rite. 'maturity' gives us ample strength to face this world. selamat hari raya 2 u 2...all d best for the coming exam:)

Whoa!.. you're 38?! i would have not known if you did'nt mention it.. hehe:) Selamat Hari Raya maaf zahir dan batin and happy belated bithday by the way.. hope you are enjoying the holidays..

As if by nature, people do not really acknowledge the sincerity of our actions, probably because it takes time to actually know the person to tell that he or she is sincere. Mdm. Zue stated that "I shall continue to work hard. Pray that my Dean finally acknowledges my integrity, loyalty and quality that I have put for the faculty and university" (Zue, par.4) which is a way to promote ourself so that other people can see our sincerity in our actions. Continue to work hard to get acknowledgment and trust because without hard work, nothing is impossible besides, rome was not built in a day.

It is always good to come back here and see many many interesting comments, all sharing their thoughts.
Mam, we all, at least most of knows the reason behind certain things, but your courage in facing everything life throws at you is simply amazing. Your action inspires me to keep taking that extra step everyone else would be reluctant to. Your words of wisdom and sincerity in wishing us the best in our lives becomes the driving force one way or another.
Sometimes people have the choice not to acknowledge, but with constant hard work, dedication and believing in what you do, will leave them no other choice but to acknowledge. For now, we can hope as Thomas Carlyle has once said " A strong mind always hopes, and has always cause to hope"..
May God will always bless mam and your family. Wishing mam Selamat Hari Raya and have a superb week ahead =)

regards
nav

hi everybody.thanx. your visits and comments are truly rejuvenating. I read an article last nite entitled "Teaching is... a caring profession" Business Communication Quarterly, Jun 2006; vol. 69: pp. 245.
Here I must say that the most wonderful reward about this noble profession is the reciprocity - as i care for my students, i find them naturally returning the same warmth, thoughts, and sincerity. Put together my ex-students and the lovely crowd i have now in ENNF 103, hey..this makes my day..and your writing will continue to promote this good feeling and also create awareness among readers in this blogosphere. I'm just so glad we all meet in this blogging community every now and then. take care:)

Happy Belated Birthday Puan Zue. Life begins at 40! Hehe.

True enough, some things are beyond our control. Lets just hope for the best of it. Someday, things will come our way, insyaAllah. :)

Believe, like how you believe in us. :)

And I am certain that you will get through this gracefully. :)

First of all.... Happy new year to all!
we have grown 1 year older!
For sure... all of us... have our own target to be achieved... Hope this year we can beat all the challenges...
the older we are... the heavier the task that we should carry on.
The past is the past... u can look back... but Don't THINK backward... as the year 2009 we left... we should turn into a new leaf... let our experience in 2009 will teach us how to survive in this new year...
So... guys... SET OUR GOAL AND GRAB IT as much as possible WHILE WE CAN!
