The Roads are Innocent!

It's Raya season again, and we shall celebrate the good spirit of togetherness, love and good faith for one month. (If you want to talk about shopping, I'd say you should have done it before Raya sale...during Malaysia's mega sale freak-out!!! Fantastic discounts and ever-best prices:)

Other than celebrations, what does Raya season entail? Haunting memories of unprecendented death, loss of beloved family members and close friends, all due to road accidents? Al-Fatihah to all who have succumbed to this major tragedy. This writing may take you to a corner which is in fact gloomy and lamentable. Nevertheless, it should remind each and every driver of his and her responsibility to ensure the safety of all road users this year. Let's put an end to this agony -fatality and serious injuries due to road accidents.

With so much of the rakyat's money being pumped into road construction and perfection, road accidents still haunt each and every cautious driver on the road - like me. Problems like potholes and winding roads have long been rectified, competency and skills in driving is kinda out of the question with the mushrooming driving academies. So, eliminate all these professional and technical factors from the list, we're left with one absolute truth - man's arrogance, selfishness and reckless driving. Of course these culprits are minority, but it takes only one of them to mess with our precious lives!

It's not even the eve of Aidilfitri, yet I have already witnessed two major road accidents on my way back to my 'kampung'. What about you? What about the news in the daily newspapers reporting death statistics? Talk to the tow-truck drivers, and they will be able to paint a true picture of the scenario...If this is true, then common drivers like any of us, and road users should exercise more caution while driving. Let the traffic police do their job and contain the problem of selfish and reckless driving. These drivers should be given an ultimate penalty.

Most importantly, we shall not stoop to their level and join the bandwagon. Plan our journey so that we don't have to rush to our dream destinations. Any sight of these agonizing drivers - practice no other than DEFENSIVE DRIVING! It may save your life and those of your beloved if you react with more patience and avoid fatal retaliation. Let them speed if they must. Don't succumb to the alarming statistics of road accidents during Raya.

Readers, writers, and bloggers...Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslims, and happy holidays to our non-Muslim friends. Love your life. You may live to witness one more success, one more joy, and one more breakthrough in human history, if you only practise 'defensive driving'. Drive safely to your hometowns, and reach your destinations with smiles and happiness.

Hello Pn Zue....I wish you a Happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri too.

Irresponsible drivers lead to death and fatality on the roads.
According to Road Transport Department, there were about 341,252 accidents cases on the roads and 6,287 of them led to death in 2006. This is all about the arrogance drivers that just thinking about their own sake without care others life. They can be called killer on the road. There are two ways why this type of driver can lead to fatality. Firstly, of course they like to break the traffic rules especially speeding above the limit. Why would our road department has limited our speed in certain areas? Of course they know that, those areas would lead to accidents if we are not cautious enough. When we did not obey that simple signals, the percentage an accident to occur would be higher. Besides that, some people love to tail others cars closely. When the car in front suddenly push the break, what would happen to the car that follow it from the behind? The car exactly will crash the car in front. So,to all the culprit on the roads, this is about the time for us to be more responsible on the road to make sure that we can drive safely and live happily in dignity.

when driving on malaysian roads, we need know more than how to steer, accelerate and brake. We need to pratice integrity, be responsible, and have compromise. A mere gesture of signaling when turning or changing lanes may save a life. Its the smallest act that can give a huge impact to others. Everyone has a bit of ego in them. It's how we manage our ego so other people won't have to suffer because of it.

Hi Kak Zu, I am evelyn here, your colleague. You must be wondering how do i get to your blog and leave comment, right? hehe! I will tell you later. I am here to agree with this post "The Roads are Innocent". Hari Raya Aidilfitri should give the first impression as togetherness and happiness, not sadness or death. This article has alerted me to drive safely on the hectic road during this season. By the way, I will not be in Malaysia this season, I will be off to a missionary trip in Chiang Rai, North Thailand. As it is a missionary trip, I should pray that there will be less accident happen in Malaysia during devotion time early in the morning. Lets pray for the reckless driver this time..Anyway, I am here to wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Do enjoy having a big family gathering during this festive season. *peace*

Well, I and Zaakir(Zack) have decided to post a blog together!! Yai!!! Ok, since raya is along the way, both of us have planned to celebrate the event together in Penang(both of us are from there!).well, before discussing our plan, we would like to share our experience to go to our hometown. OK NOW ZAAKIR WOULD TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED!!

ZAAKIR : Salam Pn.Zue. Firstly, this was my first and foremost experience of returning to my hometown for RAYA SINCE my Raya was always in Penang. So, since I haven’t really know the situation of buying a ticket in a buzzing bee situation in Pudu, I decided to buy the tixket a bit later than usual because I thought I could buy the ticket via internet, by kartik’s help.hehe… As days went by quickly as fast as lightning(which is so common here in Uniten), I got a shocking and finger tickling news from TV3 saying that bus tickets during raya period is fully booked. I was so scared as if I saw a horrifying ghost out of nowhere. A chill ran down my spine at that moment and I began to imagine that the ticket price would reach to RM200… even the booking service was fully booked. So, I and my roommates decided to go to Pudu. Now the exciting part starts…..

KARTIK : MADAM, u should listen to this…it is quite shocking to know the incident.

ZAAKIR : When I entered Pudu, it was so busy.. there are humans everywhere with different characteristic sand forms…. Somehow I bought my ticket to return but not for kartik.

KARTIK : cry….cry…..cry……. WHY ME?? 

ZAAKIR : HAHA… don’t worry kartik.i somehow bought the ticket, right??

KARTIK : YA!!! THNKZ ANYWAY…

ZAAKIR : OKOK… RETURN TO OUR STORY. Iwas searching the most ideal ticket for Kartik everywhere and with God’s grace, I found a hotspot. The salesman was a chines eguy who looked normal like any other guy you would ever see.. So, I asked the guy whether he had the ticket to Ipoh since Karti wanted to go to Ipoh to visit his grandma. Then the guy searched the ticket online anf found one. To confirm with kartik, I asked the guy to wait for a while and called kartik. After confirming with kartik, I asked the guy for the ticket and the guy didn’t want to sell it to me. He started to scold and harass me with vulgar words because I asked him to wait. My dignity was no longer with me at that time. I was so shy at that moment and ran from the spot. But I felt pity to kartik as I was responsible to buY a ticket for him. Therefore, I asked my roommate who was with me at that time to buy the ticket for kartik and somehow the Chinese guy sold the ticket to him. THAT DAY IS STILL LINGERING IN MY MIND RIGHT NOW!!

KARTIK : Poor Zaakir, suffered because of me…. Well, I SHALL GIVE YOU A TREAT FOR RAYA THEN PAL!!

ZAAKIR : OK KARTIK, BUT U TOLD ME U CANT COME TO MY HOUSE FOR RAYA, RIGHT….. CRY….

KARTIK : YA, BECAUSE INDIANS ARE CELEBRATING A HOLY FESTIVAL FOR 9 DAYS WHERE I NEED TO BE AVEGAN FOR 9 DAYS.. SORRY BUT AFTER THAT ‘’KENDURI GILA GILA’’ OK!!

ZAAKIR & KARTIK : OK, MADAM, WE SHALL END OUR BLOG NOW AND CONTINUE IT ASAP!!! BYE MADAM!

Yes..exactly..the roads are innocent..the problem is on the inconsiderate drivers' attitude on the roads. The pronounce evidence was shown by the taxi driver attitude yesterday. We took taxi to The Mines shopping mall yesterday after our physics test. The taxi was so impatient and lawless on the road. He kept cursing other drivers for being slow and blocking his way. Besides, he did not wear seat belt and he drove beyond the speed limit shown by the signages. Thank God we managed to reach the destination safely.
Anyways,we would like to wish madam Selamat Hari Raya in advance. Do enjoy your holidays in hometown.

Yea..i agree with Mdm Zue...Malaysia is producing more and more reckless drivers...Malaysia has already top the cart for having the most accidents in the world...can u imagine that??eventhough police launced "opps sikap" but i dont think it helps alot..the sad thing is that even the traffic police themselves for bang from other cars when conducting opps sikap...the drivers themselves have to be considerate enough and be patience when on the road...and to all...have a safe journy back home and Selamat Hari Raya to all who are celebrating it..

Hmmm..i agree with you madam. Not just Hari Raya but other special occasion and holidays too we see the increase of road accident. Its say to see these things coming and also more sad when one of your loved one is found dead....

Yesterday on my way back to Uniten after having fun shopping at The Mines with my friends,we saw an accident right in front of our eyes.Well its not peer to peer accident but that 'guy' just bump into the road divider and hit the post....was he sleeping?Well we didnt stop to help cause we were on the taxi,so we just withness it happen.

To all drivers out there, please be carefull during your drive back to hometown or anywhere. Treasure your lives and your beloved. You can make the difference!

Weourselves had also witnessed many road accidents throughout ur lives especaly during the holiday seasons..we would like to share some way that may not give a great impact in reducing road accidents but just to think about..
Firstly, when you are driving for a long journey please do have an adequate amount of sleep the day before so that u will have a fresh jouney. If you are still sleepy just stop by the roadside and have a short nap.sometimes Petronas gives away free coffees during holiday seasons..so dont miz de chance to enjoy the coffee and avoid accidents..
Apart from that another way that we can practise to avoid accidents is being profssional and not careless..what do we mean by careless is that talking on the phone while driving, smoking or watching tv!tis kind off small yet silly things are very dangerous to do when driving where it can results to death!!
Those are the two ways we can share to avoid accidents.drive carefully and think about your loved ones..dont change a happy celebrating mood into a sad mourning situation..

I also have been watch the real accident by my very own eyes.He is one of my best friend. He always love to 'SERET' his bike. And i always mad with him.It is because at that time,my other best friend already suffer because of bike accident. It is in god hand right?so...one day,he suddenly accident.so...now,he still not cure completely.

So..i agreed with you Pn. Zue..that is the road are innocent!!So..drive carefully everybodies!!!xD"

road accident are prone to happen when there is reckless drivers in the road..to avoid the increaing rate of road accident,we as the drivers should start practising more safer and cautios driving instead of blaming conditions of road that only contributed only a very minor factor in road accidents..last but not least, think of your loved one befor you act irrationally in roads, just think of the life that you may reap cause by your selfish act..just think of it...SELAMAT HARI RAYA TO ALL MUSLIMAN & MUSLIMIN..CELEBRATE THIS PROPEROUS DAY WITH YOUR LOVED ONE..AND SPECIAL HARI RAYA WISHES FOR MDM ZUE..CHEERS ALWAYS..=)

A statistic made by Panducermat.org.my website in 2007 showed that the number of road accidents in Malaysia has achieved a dangerous amount which is 363,319. This shows that Malaysia is currently facing a huge problem with death on road. So, we have to open our mind to search for the main factors of this constraint.

The first common factor would be Malaysian drivers mostly motorcyclists are lack of road disciplines. They seem to feel free on road and always break rules especially regarding with traffic lights and speed. The second important factor would be the drivers’ behavior on road. It is indeed true that Malaysian people are rich with their courtesy. However, they do not practice these politeness when they drive. For example, some drivers always feel impatient during traffic jam and they try to use another alternative way such as overtake other vehicles to arrive at their destinations faster. These may cause several risky accidents that can lead to fatality.

Life is the most precious thing that we have to take care off. So, Malaysian, open up your mind and realize the harmful effects of accidents. Try to be a smart and polite driver because you can safe you love ones.

Askum Pn Zue..i'm new here, so i apologize if my comment were not good enough..huhu..anyway, Selamat Hari Raya to you n i hope you have a safe journey back to UNITEN..

For my point of view, i think the best way to avoid accident during the holiday is by planning the trip itself. What i'm saying is that the drivers need to avoid the time where everyone are on the road. This don't only reduce the number of accident that taken away thousands of life but also help us to get to our destination quickly. But, if you were force to driver back on the night of Aidilfitri or when the people are swarming on the road. The only way to avoid accident is by patient, always be cautious and last but not least... Think of your love one's...

That's all for my comment, i doubtly said it is good but i think that it's a nice first try..huhu..lastly, Selamat Hari Raya to all the readers especially Pn Zue and Maaf Zahir Batin..by2..Wassalam...

Surely the roads are innocent but nevertheless it remains a dangerous environment where drivers on the road are susceptible to constant danger. Having heard all the tragedies that occurred along everyone's journeys, I can't help feeling sympathetic for the victims, not for the reckless drivers but the courteous law abiding drivers that were unfortunately in the wrong place at the worst of times.
It devastates friends and families as they are just about to celebrate Hari Raya, the joyous of seasons.

Malaysian taxi drivers are notorious for their reckless driving that they have been labeled as 'the worst taxi service in the world'. This concern doesn't only affect the tourism industry but it also the people's safety. Sadly, it disgraces Malaysia's name by reflecting our recklessness towards the world.

A neighboring country not far from us, Australia, has enforced strict rules that have prove to be efficient. Reckless drivers are sentenced to imprisonment and also lose their driving license. Australians consider vehicles on the road as weapons and running over. This causes them to practice extreme care and courtesy while driving. If only we Malaysians are able to follow their footsteps, the roads would be a much safer place...

Anyways, I wish everyone happy holidays and please be at your wariest whilst traveling.

as a major road user we must always be alert and drive safely .but not all the time we careful, sometimes we also make some mistakes that harm ourself moreover other users. this is driver will get mad whenever they are on the road, they like to speeding above the limit as we know 110km/h.so, think the effect that will occur when speeding on the road and respect to other user.

If we cannot blame the roads, why not blame the vehicles? If everybody walk,
will the death ratings of accidents will be gone? Needless to say, no matter what, we must accept that it is god's will.No one can escape their fate. The only thing that we can do is prepare for the unfortunate events where they come in all sort of forms including death.

Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere, and when it happens, we should be prepared with strong mind.Whether it happen to us or other people, our mind are put to the test. When accidents happens, it will cause a major traffic jam, those who grow impatience, will likely to speed up and this could lead to another accidents.Other than that, when we saw a horrific accident, the images of the accident can haunt us in our entire journey home and this also could lead to another series of unfortunate events.

Death will come sooner or later. If it happen to us or to those who are dearest to us during our journey, are we ready for it? The least that we can do is make a phone call. This is because we do not know that we will arrive in piece or in pieces. We cannot be sure that the people that we are going to meet at home is alive when we arrived. A simple phone call can at least would not make us regret for the rest of our life.

We can not blame god because he knows better. We cannot blame ourselves because we are powerless. We cannot predict what will happen in the future. What we can do is prepare for the worst and pray so that unfortunate events would not befall us.

Selamat hari raya.
Maaf batin zahir.
Sorry for the bad comment.
Im sleepy.

Road Safety

Accident is a phenomenen which basically happends due to human negligence and carelessness.Statistic shows that there is an increase in the rate of accident when there is a festive season.
In Malaysia,we have many festive season and this is one of the reason why accidents is rampant on the road.
the authority is aware and has taken various steps to overcome this problem.
One of the measures taken by the authority and NGO`s is by way of roads safety campaigns. The campaign should be implement throughout the nations in order to achive a sustaince result. For example, now the police are doing enforcement of road safety measures and Petronas is giving free drinks during this festives so that the drivers can keep awake.
Futhermore,Ministry of Education also should take part in order to make it a success.Ministry of Education can help in this road safety campaign by having sylibus on road safety under the subject on moral studies.NGO`s also assist in the road safety campaign by providing Shell traffic games.Where by should children at primary level are exposed to traffic eyhics and rules.
I personaly feels that eventhough the authorities has taken many measures to overcome the road safety problem, the main cause of the problem is the attitude of the road users is the ` tak apa lah` attitude...

p.s = plz do drive safely at anytime.it just not cause ur life but the life of others too..think of ur love ones.. ;)

with love,dragonslayer_15

Hello Pn.Zue,
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri... Maaf Zahir & Batin!Hope you're having a blessful and enjoying Hari Raya!Back to the topic, somehow I wish that they make a emotional intelligence or EQ test for the new drivers to make sure they're mature enough to handle their anger or stress and not to be influenced by it and break their driving ethics on d road. This is indeed very dangerous, not only to the driver himself or herself but to other drivers on the road too. The lack of patience and tolerance is one of the problem that many drivers have especially the teenagers.Speeding in unappropriate speed on d road is not a wise move. You can speed, you can drift, but do all those stuff in d right place. Although I admit that I enjoyed watching movies like Too Fast Too Furious and any movies that revolve awesome, cool and wicked sport cars but that doesn't mean that I wanna watch it live in Malaysia's roads. Plus, those kind of skills is only legal within race tracks, not on d roads. To conclude,it's not like you don't have a place to do d extraordinary driving skills, there's a place for you to enjoy doing that but definitely NOT on d roads because the roads are innocent!

Take care!

assalmualaikum mdm zue.firstly i want to say that this is my first respond to your blog.the reason is because i did not have computer in my room.so, i can't access into your blog at night and during days i have classes.but, during that day i always find my time to access into your blog at coit lab but i always become a silent reader.but until today during this study week i finally have time to read and write in your blog.

so, for my kickstart today,i want to respond about this latest topic, road accident..

my opinion is the person that we have to blame for road accident is ourself.this is because if everyone just follow all rules and safety precaution in the road ,i can sure that road accident will decrease every year.so,my advice is stop blaming other people and think of other people that also using the road.but,of course everything is decided by the power of God.as a human,we can only follow all rules and pray to GOd.

ok..thats all from me and i know i am late and i am sorry for that.but, the thing i want to say is thanks for creating this blog for us and this blog has improved me a lot and i really appreciate it.thanks mdm zue..assalammualaikum..

Salam Madam Zue,
That’s true, mam. The road are innocent, but it was the irresponsible driver fault. Because of their selfish attitude, others have to face the consequent. Hari raya that should be happy turn to glooomy situation. So, as a users, we have to plan our travel first. Either we back to hometown early or after others. For my dad, to avoid jam while going back to our hometown, he choose to drive at night. About at 3 o’clock, we’ll start our journey. At the time, there are only a few car on the road. But, I’ve to be good listener to my father to avoid he feel sleepy. At that time, I’ll story funny thing to him. We also share our opinions while others are sleep. So, when we reach our destination, I’ll sleep over to top-up my sleep. Hahaha.. Then my granny will start blabbering to me.

salam puan zue i am strongly agree with your title..Can i share with you my story about accident in road that happen in 1 muharram this year?this accident is between my father's car and a young teenager that ride a motorcycle. On 18 december my family decide to go to bagan lalang. The weather is not so good and when we arrive there its still rain.So we decided to go somewhere else. The first vacation since all my family is busy with our own life. With all my family is there,my brother,my sister,my parent and i.So when we decide to go back, suddenly we feel a something felt at the back of the car.Its happen so fast and we dont ever feel it.The back of the mirrow is broke down. And the most horrible, someone is crush with our car.A young boy,age of 16 and no license is felt down with his face bleeding so bad.He want to cross my father's car because on that time is rain and normally la people will drive in slow.So when he want to cross he cant do that because in the right hand side of the road is full of car and the road also small.he impinge and he felt down. His motorcycle crushed.Same with my car.Our happy vacation turn to bad memory in our life. Its all because a selfishness a man that not think about another people and himself too.I hope he will take this incident as his experience that the road is not belong to him only.

Assalamualaikum and salam 1 Malaysia...

Reflected to this article, i really agree that the roads are innocent.According to the statistics from the Road Transport Department every year, most of the road accidents happened in Malaysia are caused by the carelessness of the drivers.

To share my experience...

Last 3 weeks,i was driving my father's Toyota Estima from Pusat Rawatan An-Nur Bangi because of not feeling well.It was around 830 pm.Planning to be at Uniten as soon as possible because need to attend a club meeting at 9 pm.As i remember, i was driving slowly, suddenly my friends that accompany me shouting.Shocked, i just realized that my car already hanging on the road divider.Luckily,my friends called our classmates and they helped me a lot.
Trying to figure out how that incident can happened to me.At last i knew.It was because my head kind of spinning at that moment.so i cannot focused on driving, the car.My carelessness.

Advice to myself and all..
When we are driving, make sure we are ready mentally and physically.Be focus, alert with everything around us and remember the loves one..
Ensure a safe journey..

i;m very agree with you because the road only make us easier to go somewhere but for 'mat rempit', it just like a heaven.they can do everything they want as long as there roads.most of the accidents from the careless of the driver....and speed.they threaten the life of other people on the road.from the last 'OPSIKAP' that has been held by police lead to a failure because the death still happens.that's all from me.

Hello Pn Zue... I hope that you are in the pink of health...

"The Roads are innocent"... perhaps a metaphor of ROAD accident...

When talking about road accident... well I have some story to share with you all...
For your information... I was active in st john ambulance. Almost every year I had been sent to all over the place especially the place that has high rate of accident as a paramedic. Mostly we will be standby on hari raya.
Last year, I had been sent to manik urai area for 2 days before the hari raya... we had received so many cases until we have to ask for JPA and RELA to assist us in handling critical accident cases...
I myself was very scared when I seen the blood... One of the cases that I will never forget is when handling a patient with wound on his head... I even can see the skull...!!! On that time, I felt like fainting actually... can you ever imagine... all smelly blood over the body... when I was checking the patient... the patient suddenly woke up and grab my hand... again... I felt scare.. hhahahahhaha.... my entire cloth was sticked by blood!!!! He was sent to the hospital safely but until now... I don’t know whether he is still alive or not.... that memory... I will never forget...
My remarks are... don’t involve in the accident... me as paramedic... had seen... how pain they are when their bone were fractured...

Well... thats all from me... =)
Perhaps... why don’t you all share about YOUR story... it must be interesting!

Your honour, my client, "the roads", would like to plead guilty! Of course the roads are innocent, just like when you drop a glass mug, you should blame YOUSELF, not the glass mug itself. In my opinion, the driving academies are one of the main culprits for the rise in the number of fatal car accidents. For one, the minimum number of driving lessons one has to undergo is very low, that is only 8 hours! Do you REALLY think that 480 minutes of driving lesson is sufficient? Another concern is that in the driving syllabus, not all driving skills are taught to all the driver-to-bes. For instance, I was never taught how to drive on tri-lane highways! With that being said, there's no doubt that if there's anyone to blame for the staggering statistics of car accidents, driving academies should not be let off the hook.

No matter how hard we all try to eliminate those problems it gets harder and harder with many people refusing to cooperate with others, giving a total stop to these problems.About the only thing I could share would be to Concentrate on being a defenseless driver which means looking out for the drivers out there in during this you will be looking out for you. Always follow directions of the law, Yield, Stop, Slow down, Always wear your seat belt never drink&drive from people who used te road. Those are the ways we can share to avoid accidents.drive carefully and think about your loved n nw uu should know wn there is ntg problem wif roads cos roads are innocet!!

During festive season there will be lots of road accidents. As we can see, the percentage of accidents increase when it comes to festive season. Why is this happening ? is it because of driver reckless driving or it is because of the road ? driver should have enough rest before starting a journey. This is to make sure that the driver will not felling sleepy or being hasty while driving. Reckless driving can cause fatal accident. That is what we didn’t want to be happen. If it is a long distance driving, make sure you have an extra driver or you can drink a lots of coffee to keep you awake. How about the road ? the road are not innocent at all. Jabatan Kerja Raya will fix all the problem about any roads before any festive season. This is to make sure that there will be no accident during the jovial day :P so we cannot blame the road because of our own reckless mistake. Enjoy ur journey back to your hometown. And im so excited to heard all my friends “raya” stories :D

The sad moment or the tragic thing is when there is an accident and it kills a lot of people. Yes, the roads are innocent. People supposedly to be very careful while they driving on the road. They should think or imagine what will happen and what will not happen while driving. Obey the rules of the road is the way to avoid the accident. Sometimes, even though we obey the rules of the road, we drive carefully, we did not drive too slow or too fast, and we are like “the most perfect driver” on the roads but still….others will make an accident happen to us for example my father drive at one of the small roads and that time my father stop when the traffic light turns red, suddenly someone else hit his car from the back because that person drive too fast and could not brake on time, that is consider someone else fault. And we could do nothing if that happen.
Lastly, I’m totally agreed with your second last paragraph madam. Thank You

the roads are innocent!yup, that's very right! The road is not guilty, the innocent road users in this regard. Typically, users of the road causing accidents, traffic congestion, and problems on the road. This incident occurred because the behavior of road users themselves. Impatient, quick-tempered, selfish, this is the behavior of drivers in Malaysia. Although the road rules, many of which do not comply with these rules. So, how the percentage of accidents that is happen in this country can be reduced? Solution for this problem should be addressed and resolved immediately by the authorities and not forgetting the road users. Drive responsibly. Remember their loved ones. Driver behavior can be changed if wanted to change them. All changes are to be located in their own self. Drive carefully, drive slowly as long as safely reach the destination.

Every year during the festive season especially during raya is the same old accident cases.Sometimes the amount of accident cases increase each year.i dont know what is wrong with the drivers nowadays. Are they to excited to get back to their hometown?maybe but that is to stupid to be true.well...i think its down to the drivers attitude.

Some drivers like to drive fast.maybe they watch too many movie like fast and furious or playing need for speed. So,the attitude comes from there. When this happens,it may lead to become a habit for the drivers.they will tend to drive on highway with the speed of 180kmh.When driving too fast,if something comes up.the car will lose control and the driver cannot control it anymore. One more thing is majority of the drivers are not patient when driving.they like to go anywhere fast.

it may concern the road users. As these factors may cause fatal to others to.Your hometown will not go anywhere. So,drive safely, there are no need to rush and have a great raya everybody :)

as we know, the percentage of road accident increases every year especially when festive season or raya time came on...almost everyday during the festive season, there will be death shown in media...this thing happen not because of the road, but sumtimes it might because of the road condition...the major reason was from people habit...they do not know how to drive safely, especially motocycle rider...they like to get into dangerous situation because of the way they drive or the way they ride...they also make others feel scary and unsafety...my advice, please drive/ride your vehicle safely...thank you...

I agree with u.
the road are innocent
in my opinion, there is nothing new about road accident..this topic always being highlighted in
newspaper almost everyday but
rises in festive season.

the major cause of this problem is sleepy drivers..yeah..
n their attitude on road..
they being selfish.
Drivers who are driving on a long distance trip tend to fall asleep when driving. The long driving hours would most certainly take a toll on the driver's concentration while on the road.

there are many ways to avoid accident, example like, drivers should plan several short stops during the long trip.Make regular stops(at RnR) for either a caffeine boost or short naps to keep concentration at a high.
then,everything will be better..

During a heavy rain, a driver's range of visibility is greatly reduced. Whenever the vehicle in front makes an emergency brake, drivers should be able to react in time.A driver's must be alert on any situation.

Due to the rain, the driver behind might not be able to notice and react accordingly. Therefore, drivers should reduce speed and take caution to avoid such accidents especially when driving in a heavy rain.

No matter often we've been told to drive safely, there are errant drivers out there who seem to always be in a rush. Though the speed limit is set at 90km/h, these drivers could be seen speeding at speeds higher than permitted.
In other word, they do not think of other's life and their safety,or beloved one.

Drivers should avoid these major causes of road accident and learn to appreciate life more..

I can say that accident and festive season is like a best friend. Everytime the festive such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and Deepavali, we will heard a lot of stories about car crash cases. So, who to be blame in this situation. Readers and bloggers, let us think about it again, who use the roads? The answer is us! In my personal overview i can see that drivers nowadays is lack of respect to other people who also the user of highways. Do not blame other people, but look on ourself first, do we respect other people on the roads? For the sake of safety, why not us take a defensive driving? If everybody keep doing this together, I can if not much, there are still few life that we can save. Im also agree that some of our people are also taking opportunity from the high quantity of traffic hit everyday. Some of them simply put the oils or nails on the road to make profit from the damage. Did they realise that what they get is not bless by god? People, one life is created to take care of many life. For example, a father responsibility is to take care of his family. Imagine that a father is dead because of our profit gaining, is fair to their family? Be smart people, respect others, make friends not enemy.

Its Raya again. And the highway must be busy with the car either from south nor north. From here, we can see a brand-lame-attitude, selfish peoples and reckless driver. What’s with the driver actually? If there’s no driver , accident may be negative infinity because nobody care about holiday, highway and life. Trust me, I’ve been in accident before. What I can say is : hell with the stupid driver. He doesn’t even read the road rules. GOSH. Why this things happen? Because our drivers are lack of discipline! Come on people, if we ourselves cannot change our attitude, who else?

we as road user is the want that have to blame.... and of course not the road it self..because the roads are innocent.accident can occur anywhere..everywhere. all we need is to take our own precaution..always alert..and try to discipline ourself with all the road rules. But the most important..we as a driver..we need to respect other driver itself. respect is the main key to overcome this situation. sooo...please la dont jump the queue..these kind of drivers really make me sick..totally a bully and have no manners!
