The world we live in today may not be the sight we will still witness in the near future. Nevertheless, accepting the truth of this claim is not enough. It is our responsibility to find a good way to preserve the special characteristics of the planet we live in, and act immediately.
When I was small, my teachers used to make us look across the green field, to the row of trees at the end of the school compound, after stressful moments concentrating on the textbooks. Once or twice a year, school clubs and Brownies (I'm a Pixie) would have a picnic or camping trip by the seaside where we would bathe in clean and clear sea, and gaze at the blue horizon. At university, I joined the Nature Society for camping trips as well as mountain climbing and jungle trekking activities. As we visited marine parks like Mamutik island and Tioman island, and become enchanted by the mesmerizing beauty of underwater life, we also helped to clean the beaches that were sometimes littered and battered by mankind (or weather.)
What about today? There are still as many informative campaigns and talks to encourage and beg for us to save the environment. But, do we all take heed to the alarming environmental calls? The threatening effects of global warming? When the situation is only getting worse, most of us still succumb to old habits. Plactic shopping bags, waste of electricity, fast food cartons and aerosols, - ring a bell?
Let's start with the little things we can do - on our own, within the small family unit, campus and social community - to protect our environment from any further damage and destruction.

I love the environment! No doubt there.
There's something though that always catches my eyes when I walk, rubbish on the street! Why do people litter? And it's not a small deal anymore! People litter everywhere they go(majority). We have to stop this habit before it gets well, real 'bad'!
Back to the environment, the seas and the beach has already become less attractive now because of the dump people throw in them[or at the beach], the whole thing about factories throwing their chemical(toxic) waste enrage a lot of people. And its destroying whatever that's left for the children.
Think about it, because of illegal hunting, certain species are almost extinct! People have to start opening their eyes and stop all of these nonsense!

Well, it's rewarding to hear of the angry voices of our younger generation who are already exasperated with the lame excuses and lack of care for the environment. With your knowledge and concern for nature, you may want to choose this topic for your public speaking assignment!
hmmm when talking about environment I will definitely amaze with god creation..
But sadly, almost every day we seem to hear of yet another problem affecting the environment and most of them are caused by humans!
So we must do something to help slow down and reverse some of the damage because we all have a responsibility for our environment.
We may not do a lot but with our small contribute we can help protect the environment..
So when u think about throwing a rubbish think about what will happen to our future generation. :)

Nowadays, when people were asked about environment, they will spontaneously say ‘Global Warming’. Yes, it’s true that people have knowledge about the serious things happened on earth. But sadly, they just take it on granted about this matter without putting some effort to decrease the effect. I guess they just known the term from the surface only.
We knew that the global warming or climate change can cause a lot of problems due to effects like greenhouse gases. Furthermore, this will also increase the global temperature. Just imagine, if the temperature keep continuously increase. Then the iceberg at Antartica will start melting and causing the sea water level increase. Of cause Malaysia will disappear from the map if we don’t start to do anything right now to protect our environment.
Unfortunately, in our own country, the public perception and attitudes still not change (maybe a little). I can say that only the minorities may have taken their own action to protect our environment. Compare with other countries, like Australia, even in the election campaign also, Kevin Rudd (now the Prime Minister) stressed about climate change as an important issues. And the Australian voted for him! It shows that majority of Australia people really cares about environment. (Will the same scenario happen in Malaysia’s election campaign? Guess not).So, we can see the different level of awareness between Malaysian and Australian (just for example) about our environment.
Actually, when we said about protecting our environment, it involves everybody. It needs cooperation between government, NGO’s and people together. Starting from informal& formal education until the campaign, it needs effort from all of us to protect our environment. Let us think twice and wise before we do something.
We can see that there a big changes in our environment today compare too few times back then.
Well, if we want to protect the environment, firstly we should start it with our self. Ask our selves if what we do is protecting the environment then we can ask the other to do it. If we don’t start it no one will listen to what we say.

I still remember when I was in form 1 back in Anderson Ipoh, I've join the Pencinta Alam Club...
Our main activities are to maintain one of school's parks and the herbs piazza... So, it's all about flowers and herbs... Back then, the thoughts of flowers are girly stuff never crossed to any of us, since the joy is there, and hey, Anderson is all boys school... hehe...
well, that was the past... but, unfortunately nowadays, it's hard to see the younger generation to hold a shovel or even dirt in their hands... it's even sad to me when some of them don't know that anggerik and orkid are the same thing... argh...
it's cliche for me to say, "it's not too late for us to preserved our nature and it's essential and important for us to keep the nature as it is supposed to be..."
but the thing is, it's up to us whether we want to take an action on this problem and it's up to us to change the uncertain future that lies ahead... (our environment's future of course)
if we want to make a change, start with ourself... do not hope for the others to start it and you just tailing behind... Take the lead... be the pioneer if u have to...
This is a comment responding to both posts, this one and the pvevious post about "home".
Well, one of the main reasons i am always eager to get back home from my university is due to the environment. In the unversity, all i see are tar roads, buildings and i suppose that is about it! Back at home, the greenary is just fantastic! Absolutely soothing, the perfect remedy after a long while in a stressful area far from home.
The chase for greater wealth has brought greater destrustion of our environment; case of point- the issue in Lojing. It is heartening to see our world turning for the worse.
Here, i would like to recomend the documentary film "The Inconvenient Truth" as fromer US vice president Al Gore tells us the grave condition our environment is in.
With that, let us all help each other portect the environment; for the beauty of it, for the importance of it, and for our children.
people dont care about the environment anymore. people keep littering here and there even dustbin are provided in public.
and for the government, they kept asking the citizens to start recycling and etc but they dont even provide enough recycle bin and recycle centre.

Huhuhu...felt a bit lazy to post a single nowadays...Is it because of our beloved mother nature that provides us excellent weather condition with little birds chirping happily and soft breeze blowing on our hair or our own human nature? Mother nature and human nature. hmm...looks very similar to each other...but they are nothng alike. =.=
Does any of u have Astro at home? for those who do…,have u seen one commercial? This particular commercial is usually broadcast at Nat Geo,Wild Discovery, and Animal Planet…It say that this world is so perfect…without us humans… We know that giant Redwoods can’t survive without insects. Monstrous blue whale can’t survive without tiny planktons. Why are we here? This is perhaps the most intriguing question to be answered by ourselves. It is because among this worlds spectacular life, we are the ones that have the power to protect other species…including ourselves…But, nowadays, that doesn’t seem to happen right? On the contrary, we are the ones that became the most hazardous threat to other species. Y is it? For example, y do we blame mother nature when things went wrong? Landslides, floods, soil erosion… This are examples for what we call ‘natural disasters’ . See anything weird? If u guys doesn’t c it, I’ll show u. ‘NATURAL disasters’ . I think that’s clear enough…hahaha… Well, if you starting 2 feel a bit blur or irritated, i’ll explain to u. Floods… happen when the drain is filled with rubbish or the river’s flow is stucked by a pile of rubbish. Well, I don’t think those rubbish came along with the rain don’t u think? Landslides… happens when water from rain is sucked deep into the earth an soften the land above. Since there’s no tree root to grip the land, it began to slide downwards. Of course, the rain doesn’t chop of lumber right? Well… y do we call them natural disasters when the REAL reason is our greed and ‘care less’ ness? Well, I’ll tell u y… it’s bcoz our human nature 2 blame others for what we do. So, I must say that in order 2 change our Earth’s fate, we need to change ourselves first. Save our nature coz by doing that, we are also saving ourselves.

We should be ashame of ourselves because we don't have a sense of justice towards nature.Not one bit.Nature provides us with air,water,food,and much more...but how we say our thanks to nature?by throwing rubbish into the river.by burning forests.by emitting lots of smoke into the air.Thanks to our own doing,more n more problems occur.Smog/smokescreen,landslide, flash flood,disease,n much more.Who's there to blame except ourselves?But still,we didn't care much until something happen 2 people close to us.At that time,we began to find the easiest way out of it,by blaming nature.

well,im nature's lover too. i joined the expedition that uniten's kelab kmbara organized such as mountain climbing, caves exploring , etc..bt i missed the rafting challenge activity and it was a loss for me. pity me. =\ . i hve my own reason y i did all of this. some said dis is madness - wasting time for climbing mountains, stay at the jungle or cave for few days, skin burns, no proper foods, leeches are everywhere, extremely exhausted and dont get enuf sleep for sure. =P . watching tv, surfing internet, shopping and sleeping - dey called dis heaven. bt dis is my own way how do i protect the environment. it is not only about a challenging expedition but im just too xcited when it comes 2 nature and all those experience that i got later. i really appreciate & enjoyed the beauty of nature. indescribable. priceless. subhanallah. guys, we really have to protect the environment but people nowadays (espcially youngsters) seems dun even care about this serious matter. hey, go some other place to live then, but not the earth. we should know our responsibility towards nature. so, stop pollute the river & ocean, open burning, littering, cut down trees or anything that can completely destroy the environment in future. if u an adult, act like adult. think like adult. i believe dat u all are well educated. one action can change the world. dont easily say it. never mind the wait...coz the comment is good. Like you, I also love rock climbing, mountain climbing and jungle-trekking. Did lots of it when I was an undergraduate...most importantly, these activities bring you closer to nature. Can't imagine if these culprits continue to spoil, and destroy mother nature. Then, our next generation of undergraduates will only get to share our experience as written in blogs and reported in documentaries and whatever nots....
How to protect the environment? First of all, our government actually have to enhance and enforce the already existed laws for the litter buds. As we all know, the laws against these environment-deteriorater actually to simple and does not bring anything to the litter buds. By strenghten the laws maybe can make them behave themself. Besides that, campaigns about the importance of protecting our environment also must be hold frequently to build and expose us to the understanding of environmentalism. With the increasing of human population now a days, too much rubbish disposed everyday. The already existance incinerator did not enough to incinerate all the waste. So, by put the understanding of environment in us can reduce the waste disposal but,maybe not much.
So, by taking those solutions might help keep our environment clean and clear.

i really cared about our environment, i have been teach since kids to take care our mother nature...if not us had to take care our planet or our environment, who should be??? lately i saw on television about peoples that simply throw rubbish on a river or lake...are they out of their mind??? this situation will cause flash flood..to prevent this from getting worse, we as a human being that been gave by Allah our mind to think, have to find a way how to prevent this situation from getting worse...so, lets teach peoples out there to love our mother nature and environment and teach them to take care of our earth...our earth are getting older, if this kind of situation getting worse, so... our earth can't hold it anymore and apocalypse happened...apocalypse happen because of human activities towards the earth...

Our environment was so important to us. As we all know, our earth are getting older year by year. Earth also getting worse because of pollution. So, let’s protect our earth now. There are many ways to save earth. One of it is reduce the pollution. Pollution made of three types, there are air pollution, water pollution and sound pollution. Air pollution content carbon monoxide, and other that influence us and effect the global warming. To reduce air pollution, we can make changes at car, factory and others. Open burning also has to be reduced to avoid air pollution. My second point is to reduce water pollution. Either chemical factory or any factory has to be warns if they ‘throw’ their wasted water to the river. Besides, a campaign has to be held to inform people about importance of earth. Perhaps, the campaign will realize them that our earth ‘sick’ now. Furthermore, to protect our environment, we have to make sure that our environment clean. To make it real, we have to do a lot jobs. I think only 45% people are willing to do it without any commission. This is because almost all just think about money. Image how we would live if our earth in critical condition? Have you heard song title ‘HIJAU’ from Zainal Abidin? Would you like to leave an environment such in the song to your grandchild? Please think about it. So, the conclusion is, we have to save our world starting from now or our earth will get worse.

Save our Earth and protect our Environment. Our planet is in trouble! Almost every day we see and hear about pollution, acid rain, global warming, the destruction of rainforests, wild habitats and the decline and extinction of thousands of species of animals and plants.
We as a human must take an action to save our Earth.
There are some ways that we can do everyday and right now.
Firstly, lets 3R. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Use recycled paper to save tress also protect flora and fauna habitats.
Secondly, use less energy and use public transport or just walking instead of using cars for short trips to prevent pollution and ozone layer.
Lastly, tree planting. Its is easy and effective way to save our trees and make our Earth more green.
For me, we must take an effort to save our environment. Think about future and our generation. How they can survive if until now we decline to protect our Earth.

Nobody denies that Environment is very important. With clean and peaceful environment, we can have a healthy and harmony life instead of dirty and noisy environment that can lead to bad implications. These days, many campaign and activities have been held for everyone just to remind that we have to protect our environment in order to have a good healthy life.
At this level, we have to save the environment, you might have known that we are not just save the environment, on the other hands we are also have save the animals, avoid from getting any kind of diseases, no acid rain etc. In addition, we have to be a responsible person and train ourselves to protect the environment so that people around us can follow. Tell our family to join the activities about it and together with neighbor to clean the housing area. Furthermore, the authorities must take an action to those who litter and irresponsible and impose a fine on them.
Lastly, we don't want our young generation to get infected by any diseases that can cause fatal. So, THINK! don't be a litterbug, just throw the trash in the bins, its not that hard isn't? By the way, i sell all my unused stuff to shop instead of throwing it away. Practice from now, be RESPONSIBLE and make our country clean. Save our planet! Save the future! We need the Green Earth!
