Student Crisis

Alert! If you notice any kind of change to your behaviour, attitude and response, any abnormal or extraordinary pattern in the way you react and respond to simple daily chores - check things out and reflect. Why? This may very well be manifestation of crisis which needs immediate attention or help. Unless changes happen intentionally, it is best to be cautious and take the necessary steps to bring things back to normal.

In layman's term, crisis can be defined as conflict, problems, dilemma, anxiety, etc. In this predicament, an individual will not be able to use the common and familiar coping strategies and tension may arise. Common types of crisis include financial , identity, as well as relationship crisis. At university, decline in academic performance, peer pressure and conflicting priorities may pose an obstacle in the everyday pursuits. Hence, crisis erupts and the individual becomes easily agitated, disorganized and hostile.

Can crisis be avoided? Well, some matters in life are simply unpredictable and we may become victims of circumstances. Nevertheless, I believe that we can prepare for crisis by observing a few simple procedures daily:

1. maintain good friendship and relationship with people around so that they can alert you about any peculiar patterns of attitude or behaviour

2. whenever you are upset or disturbed, do not suppress your feelings but try to find a suitable way to express your fruestrations, and anger. Some people scream!!!, write in the diary or talk to somebody close and trusted

3. have faith in your life and future. Believe that God has created different pathways for different people in the different pursuits of success. If you meet an impasse, perhaps it's time to try another solution - opt for the road not taken and less travelled...

4. never give up! Seek for help and assistance. You should never be by yourself in circumstances like this... contact your friend, roommate, lecturer, mother, or counsellor, for help.
Lastly, crisis lurks in every corner of our challenging life. If we are prepared for it, there's hope that we won't fall prey to emotional outbursts or immature decisions. At UNITEN, there is a special club called PRS that trains its members to help peers under pressure. Of course, if they figure that the situation requires professional help, you will be referred to the counsellor or anybody more senior like the lecturers or the advisor.

Recently, the PRS at UNITEN organized a knowledge-sharing forum entitled: Student Crisis. Congratulations to the organizing committee. I think it's a brave and noble effort to carry out such an initiative. Students should be exposed to realities like this in order to better equip themselves with coping mechanisms to handle unforeseen circumstances.

Here are some photos of the event. Great job Mai (chairperson) and the panel speakers: Dominic (COE Third Year student, 7 times Dean's list award) and Muhammad (UNITEN alumnus, successful entrepeneur). I was also invited as a speaker, and I hope I have shared my ideas, thoughts, and experience well with the audience that evening. Last but not least, thumbs UP:) to Firdaus, project Chairman.

Thanks for being one of the panels mdm zue.. It's just what i needed to give me a major motivational boost.. which otherwise keeps myself unconscious by going on day by day monotonously without actually living in it. Thanks also to the rest of the panels for teaching me the values that i need to live, not just academically but in life.

I believe that I'm always in crisis.. It's something that I can't avoid from having.. i can say that almost 80% of my crisis is actually resulting from my own actions.. "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction," Is a law by Isaac Newton which best explains what i meant. If my results were to be outstanding, It is probably as a result of my sacrifice of late nights, rejecting social invitations and such.. to work hard. If i don't work hard, and this results in bad grades, who else can i blame?.. Thus, i can say that I invite crisis rather than just meeting a crisis by chance

Puan Zue, when you speak about crisis, I have a male friend. He always had a carefree attitude towards life. Whenever he has a problem or crisis, he will try not to think much about it and then he just forget about his problem. He said to me that, his problem will be solved by itself, eventually. *laughs* Do guys always think like that? XD

can you kick the crisis out of your mind ? some crisis may be easy but some are not. well, reason will not lead to solution isn't ?

Firstly, it's hard to find a good friends these days. Especially whom are good listener . Usually, my friends express their feelings to me but i loved to keep mine because i didn't find someone who can really listen to what am saying. You're right, screaming is good but i think laughing is better.

Secondly, i reckon i'm having crisis almost everyday and i believe that God try to test me to face the challenges or the obstacles. Well , it's fine with me because i know there's must me a solution for any problems. But when you're about to give up immediately find someone who can help to back you up.

Finally, NE and Ver give up :) because there's a reason for every crisis.Try to find a way to solve your crisis. i would like to share my way of expressing my feeling that is i set up the camera and i make a video of me talking all by my self..ermm, it may sounds weird but it helps me.

That's all , may you have a spectacular day :) .

hehehe, i wish i have a crisis. but most of my problems can be resolved easily.
relationship, i have none or whatsoever. i am intrested in girls don 't get me wrong, its just that i haven 't found the right one yet. Maybe never. bachelor for life hahahaha. i always fall for the wrong type of girls. twice. hahahah. so i don 't have much faith in boy girl puppy love.
Good friendship with everyone. thats easy. just be friends with everyone and don 't make enemies. why make enemies with people. its a waste of time and energy. if someone needs of assistance, help him or her, if its is within my range of power. of course right :)we are not celebrities. having feuds with people don 't get us on the US weekly right.
we have to surpress our feelings and try to control them and not be emotional. by surpressing means don 't show in public. or don 't let others see your darker side. My way of expressing my emotions is through studies, books, or comics. hehehehe the best is television or internet. hahahahahahaha. of course many others have their own solution towards showing their anger and frustration.
having faith in life and the future. why, thats a must.deep down eventhough he or she feels so negative about themselves, they still felt the need to have hope. everyone needs to feel hope. faith and hope is the only thing we can hold on, to survive.
without it, our life will be meaningless. hehehe another way to kill someone is to make him feel hopeless. shhhhhh ... forget i just said that.
giving up is just a way of escaping reality. but how far can we run. if i give up today. tomorrow or even next decade, i still need to come back to my day to day life. yeah, i will be left behind, but still, having a little escape time is good vacation. hehehehe. run away is a good thought. maybe run away and have a little adventure. hehehehe.sounds fun. but terribly scary. i don 't even think i have the guts to go through with it.

whats with the crisis? come on laa. wake up peoples! we need some revolution, a brand new generation, who free from crisis and always ready for everything. broaden our mind, perfectly. i dont know why students nowadays too shy to seek for help, even they are totally wrong and lost. GOD, why they are too SHY? maybe they are sick or something with the brains, maybe :P (well, i am very shy too, HAHAHAHH). nevermind, lets together we wake up and realize, nobody are free from crisis. we just need to believe in ourself. be confident at anytime, independent. We can AVOID it if we can think and act wisely. :)

I like this post very much.it gives guideline to the student in the university how to save themselves from crisis

As you can see, lots of the students nowadays let themselves be in crisis.then, they settle the problem themselves.if they cant find the way to solve.they start doing stupid things like taking drug or maybe suicide.

Some problems you can settle by yourself, some cannot. As,you said in the article mdm zue, maintain good friendship. In university life.we need friends to support us from the back.if you alone.you cannot survive in the university life.

So,dont let yourself be in crisis as it can be fatal if it gets worse.

Speaking bout crisis,
i would like to see a living without crisis... If u ask me, its a wonder to meet a guy without one... I would support the perception of Mas Mia, who voiced out that "nobody are free from crisis"... hmmmm, we can consider that, it is a fate that every living should face...
We should be brave to face the problems, and sure there isn't a problem without a solution. it depends on our ability to make the right choice to solve it... staying brave doesn't mean we have to 'fight 1 man army' but we can also find help... Its nothing wrong in it, just that we malaysian are not use to it...
Finally i would like to remind that, this is the bettle of life,
'u face it,
its maybe victory or experience,
but if u hide from it,
nothing u'll gain...'

Oh crisis, who doesnt have crises in their lives before? No one! It's just that crises seem especially overwhelming to students who are still teenagers. As a teenager, they are neither a child who can cry for help nor an adult who can single-handedly tackle any problem that arises. All students are constantly riding on the "emotional roller coaster" : they might feel on top of the world right now, and a nanosecond later they might feel inexplicably depressed. However, students have to accept the fact that crisis ARE a part of EVERYONE's daily life. I once read a joke that reads : there are two things all humans cannot avoid - that is death and taxes. I guess crisis could've fit into the joke too. By overcoming crises, a student, or a teenager, will gradually transform himself or herself to become more and more matured and thus, one step closer to adulthood. As an example, students who came from a poor family who had faced various crises in their lives think and behave more like an adult than their hedonistic peers who've never wash their shoes before. Hence, there is no doubt that crisis is common and it can make us a better person if we choose to face and overcome it.

Crises is normal for everyone. Especially for students like us. We can't just avoid it because it will keep coming. It depends on us either to solve it or just to let it go and it will be forgotten eventually. However, there are a few ways on how to overcome it as you've said in this post which is true.

Crisis is not a big deal actually as long as we know how to handle it. As a man who believe in God, i believe that crisis is one of the life test from Allah. Crisis also make us getting wiser day by day. Crisis teach us how to handle our own problem and it will show our maturity. As a university student, we can be categorized as an adult, so handle a crisis like an adult. When we are in crisis, dont panic! Use our brain that given by God to think the solution. Dont think only one method, do think various type of crisis solution method as back up. In our life, we must always have plan A, B, C and D so that we can try to solve the crisis in many ways. When i am in crisis, I always pray to God and listen to jazz music. Believe or not, it will make me being normal back. Do find your own way how to solve your crisis. Dont scare at crisis, figth it!

Speaking of student crisis,
its hard to find a being without one.
problem are faced by every being and perhaps students are most in the list. we should be able to solve the problems that exist or else it might even destroy a persons life.(depends on how big is the problem)
In hand to solve the problem,
every1 should keep their mind free. this can help to make a wise decision.
i would like to summarised that, crisis is a bettle and we should be prepared.

Crisis , such a simple and strong word . I had a crisis when I first came to Uniten , I left (Universiti Islam Antarabangsa) UIA for Uniten , however I was in a dilemma whether to go for engineering or computer science , I enrolled in Uniten as an engineering student however I had a sudden peak of interest in computer science , and so I studied a little bit about computer science and their possible career , because most of the feedbacks I recieved when I told my friends that I want to transfer to computer science are negative feedbacks , Why ? How ? Can you ? I dont think you should ,.. making me unsure to go on with my transfer , thats my crisis , my dilemma but then , I stand before my mirror inside my room , staring at my face and suddenly I made the decision to transfer to computer science . Why? because I'M the one who's taking the course not other people and I must not allow their judgement to cloud mine . So I solved my crisis with my own hands simply by convincing myself . Now , I'm sitting on a chair in the computer lab at COIT and living my life , even now I still feel glad to have made a good decision .

So madam , crisis is something inevitable , you have to take it on face to face , solve it , insyaalah you'll lead a great and better life .

Anyone who does not have crisis? Hello! I guess all people face it. No one can run from crisis. Student like us always have crisis. We supposed can handle the crisis because we have brain to think. We can think wisely to do something to avoid the crisis. Like what madam zue said, do not give up easily. We supposed being brave person to face the crisis. Next, maintain good friendship. We now currently stayed at UNITEN. Most all the time we spent it with friends! We ate, slept and so on. Friends will always supported us and always with us in what ever happen. Either we in the sad or happy mood :)

Hi this is me Nassr,
I talk as a student and as Expatriate student here in Malaysia.
everyone has a crisis and need a solution for that. as in a previous post about friendship i think, we all agreed that no life without friends etc.
i have been in a crisis, with my best friend who is no longer here.
I didn't know what to do he was a brother to me and people called as a twin. I always argued with him and try to make him understand that he makes things wrongly but, no way, he got angry for nothing.

I did not know what I should do to make him satisfied. He was a brother to me, and we always spend the day together study, have fun and shop etc. But the problem is that he was suffering from autism, and I couldn't leave him in the case of live with the situation he need help. Now I had to show him and help him to change his status, but sometimes I do not know what to do with him. his issue was simply making mountains out of molehills; I mean he makes his problems himself.

I remember I wrote in my diary one of the problems between me and him, and also I wrote the problem in one of the forums. I had patient on the situation that I'm in it for long time. Praise be to Allah, after a period he traveled to his country when he returned, told me that his family were happy that his mood has improved a lot from the past.

Now I'm glad I always find him thanks me for what I did to him,but thanks to Allah in the first place. Patience is the most important factor out of any crisis and the search for appropriate solutions, and seeks advice from experienced.

We are here in Malaysia away from our families and our homelands, even if Malaysia my second home, but the soul need to see the family. For this we need to be creative in problem solving and keep update for anything new, it makes life easier.

Hope I share something good to help.

Hi maam,
crisis, it is synonym in our lives. how hard and easy it is, it depending on how we, as an educated person handles it !

i am a son, the oldest brother, and also a student myself, since ive turned to be an adult, since ive gotten into unien, i mostly have crisis about studies, sometime about financial because i sometimes overspent my money on something which will eventually i realized not worth buying at all, the money which i was supposed to spend on foods, books, were used for some other reasons. the hardest thing to do is to ask for my parents to bank in money to me :D

it can be considered as bad but it depends on how i handle it. so far, thing are going fine, the utmost appreciation to my dear family who where there through thick and thin.

crisis is something we cant run away from, TRUE STORY!!!
you just have to face it and deal with it. this is what i usually do when problems and crisis arise. this is what i'll keeping onto

It's a good advice. it's just like a whole package when you start to keep yourself busy like: hanging with friends, joining clubs, volunteer for public event or Society that is from outside. in other words, any activities that have involvement with outdoors.

i can imagine like the people that keep themselves busy with that are always treasuring the time they spent in their life rather than people who is always carefree from anything. Because it's human nature to slacking/'lepak'/chatting in order to release tension that have build-up from their work during the day.

some people might not have understanding of such people's perspective(going outside) because they think that they have not doing anything useful rather than people that staying indoors and performing indoor activities.

But it's not, because the people that spending most time doing outdoor activities. they would like to have wide space area & fresh air at outside in order to relax & charging up their 'motivation' after work. they have talk to collect information about other people's daily life so they can have good link with other people that is useful for future life.

PS: if there are people above that prevent the students from going outside because they care. those people are just being self-centered, sad & cruel.

Every stage in your life you will face crises. also you will face obstacles in your way to success. And I think that the first and most important step to overcome that crisis is the confidence of yourself . And that crises does not stand in your way for success also consider that your way to success is full with crisis .also I think that your choice of friends is important becouse they will help you out to raise your spirits and they are not going to let you down so you have to be very careful in choosing your friends because they are a mainstay in your life if you behave bad they will notify you and if you did something right they will encourage you these truely friends not some kind of friends support you on everything you do, whether it is right or wrong, so I think the selection of your friends will determine your personality and your life so pick your friends carefully

Greetings...
i think the biggest problem which leads us to crisis is the lack awareness of the problem , and not get prepared to face the consequences that will occur.

to overcome that problem the simplest thing that anyone can do is seeking the solution or advice and it can be done by asking the experts or the people who have experienced this kind of problems.

try to recognize the problem or even ask someone who loves or cares about you, like a friend or a parent.

plus you have to have some patience when you’re trying to solve it
try to make yourself and your mind as busy as possible, get involve in any kind of social activity or sport activity.

it is much better for you to focus your attention on what you see around you, rather than focus on the problems that occupy your mind which can also affect your daily life.
and keep in your mind whatever crises you will face through out your life it is test by allah and it will make you learn new things as you grow up ..

Frankly speaking, I feels like me as one of the unlucky person to also have this "Student Crisis" on my own.

At first I think my problem is just a minor problem, no other one in this world has the same problem same like me. It is a silly problem. But as the time flies, I realised it just grew over me. I never let it out. Suddenly, i can't take it anymore.

For me, im a quiet person. I don't express my feeling much. But on that day, I did what I've never done it in my life before. That is i'm going alone to Bukit Brogra, Kajang all alone. All the way from my home in Putrajaya to Kajang at 3.00 am in the morning.

Once there, i scream out loud. haha. Screaming at night all alone. Luckily, there are no one there. I feel so tranquil and senerity. At last this burden over my head is released. And the nature has its give to me. The beautiful sunrise. :) That is the most beautiful ever scene that my eyes have ever captured. Thank You Allah, for giving me the opportunity to realised that in every problem, there is always Him for us to cling on.

For me, crisis will serve us as the best teacher as it will gave us a priceless experience of how this live would be. It also make us know who are the true friends and who are fake. The friends from the foe.

Alhamdulilah, He show me the way and now im have recover back from my past mistakes and I grateful that I learn it the hard way. :)

Crisis, student and life will never be separate. Try to learn form it and it will shine throughout your life. :D

Hello ;)

Well, life is about taking risk.If u afraid to take any risk in your life, you wont get any chances to put up your life in a better level. So,whenever things that going through along the taking risk process will surely lead to "crisis" terms.Perhaps,we can't avoid any crisis that will occurs in our daily life. But,for sure we can face it in a good way.

Some crisis may come to anyone of us without any reason actually. Its mean,we can't predict the future things that will turn up to us right.Perhaps if we look at "crisis" term in students point of view,we can easily predict what would they will encounter on.

For me,it is a normal thing when we encounter any crisis in our daily life. But the important thing is,it's how we handle it.So,the thing that we should prepare is to filled up ourself with a good skills and knowledge so that we can face any kind of problem or crisis in a coolest way.

For sure, the good students are good in handling crisis matters.Hence,in that way, they won't have to think of to any small matters that will disturb their studying process.

So,i can conclude that whoever people that can handle any kind of crisis is a successfull person mostly. So,think about it ;)

Crisis is a normal things. In our life crisis always happen. The only problem is whether we have gut to solve/face it or not.Crisis will teach us how to think like an adult and to solve it,it will show our how mature we are.Are we ready to face the reality in this world or not.If we passed that show we are ready to next stage. When we face the crisis, dont be scare. There a lot of option can be solve the crisis but maybe you wont found now.Sometime it will take time for us to find out the solution. Some of the crisis doesnt mean you have to face yourself, friends and family can be a great help to solve it.One always thing no matter how hard the crisis you currently holding, your family always be beside you.

Futuremore when we try to solve the crisis always have others plan.In case first plan didnt work, you still have second and so on.Lastly crisis is normal in ourlife.Every person in this world face it mostly everyday.See at your parent how they overcome thier last time crisis. If they can why not u?

I believe it is common for university students to have crisis during their tertiary education level life. It is just the matter how serious the crises can get for each and every student. Crisis is actually a life test that once we succeed solving the crisis, we will gain the valuable experience which from there we become more matured to face future crises.

One should never give up or becomes so stressful about the crisis they have. We need to be patient whenever we face crises and what we could do next is, find and think about how to solve the crises. We have been provided by God with an organ that is so effective on decision making process called brain for us to think on how to overcome every crisis we encounter. Use it wisely, and we will find that every crisis has its own solution. The difference between a matured person and from immature ones is his or her ability to think for solutions on crisis and feel calm to resolve it at the same time.

We as a normal human cannot get rid of problems and crises in our life. Even how hard we try to avoid from facing problems, the problems will still eventually come to unsettle our life. Therefore, what you can do is, face any problems that come to you, solve it, learn from it, grow stronger to face future problems, and be happy with your life.

Salam Madam,

When it comes to crisis,i think every single day of our life is a battle. We faced problems and crisis everyday between friends, family, and so on. And every problem can resolved by making a wise desicion and not letting our anger control our emotions.Every do have a feeling like giving up to try and to face the problem on their own. That is why God created friends for us.They probably cant solve our problem but they can lend a shoulder for us. :)

Without crisis, our life will be so dull and we should realise that the good outcome from having a crisis is we learn something from it.To be a better person next time,to be prepare anything that might affect our future. What is the most important is the way we handle the crisis that come to us.The wiser you act,the better your will get :)

I have never heard about "PRS" before, but I certainly understand it’s importance. I actually experienced several terrible anxiety attacks in the recent semester break, those attacks led to my hospitalization and wasted all of my free time.

It took me a long time to recover from the aftershocks, but luckily it wasn’t druing the semester, otherwise it would have terrible consequences on my educational performance, and fortunately I had my dear mother's support through all this. But let’s not talk about me, let’s talk about all students in general, student life is stressful and students are constantly under pressure from doing their assignments and projects and trying to meet the deadlines, It should also be noted that lack of sleep is one of the most important factors in anxiety development.

Doing the assignments till early morning, won’t leave much time to sleep properly, especially when you have to attend an early morning class. Sleep deprivation affects our performance and personality and is a time bomb waiting to explode, believe me when I say it has severe impacts on your daily life, you won’t be able to sleep, eat, study or do anything productive, best solution is to prevent it from ever happening to you and the best way to do that is to get a consult, or seek professional help if needed.

Crisis is something normal with our life. This because averybody have their own crisis and so I. We must be wise in solving our own crisis. There are a lot of ways to handle and solve the crisis. But also depends on the crisis itself. Some people like to share their crisis with their parents or family and they will jointly solve the problem. And some people just tell their best friend to ease the burden. But, they should be carefully inchoosing their friends. Or maybe larger crisis will be faced by them.

In the life of the university, as students we can not run away from facing the crisis. Each person would have a significant problem. However, the thing is we must resolve the problem in the right way. As mentioning by pn.zue by maintaining a good friendship, have faith in your life and future, do not suppress your feelings and the most important is do not ever give up! Is the best way for us to handle crises that are occur

however, if we have done the best in every relationship, but still also the crisis, we must pray and try to ask God to help us because no one is perfect. This crisis always related to a friend because most of the time with them .. So, many things happen. At the first course is fine, but sooner or later kinds of problem can be .. especially if the crisis come from women problem .. it is more complicated. arghhh ...

so, it is all depend to us to find a way to handle it if it come to be our problem. Do not hesitate to share a problem with anyone we can trust because it can reduce our stress. gudluck ...;)

A good friend ship in university life is so important so we need friends to motivate us and support us to the best because if we are alone we can not solve and handle our problem in the university in some problems.

Everybody have a crisis in his their lives .we should be brave to face the problems and sure there is not a problem without a solution. We should trust that god have plane for each one of us and we should believe it .

In my opinion, the Crisis is the normal thing hapen for everyone in this life and we must learn from facing this problem , the employees face crisis in his work and he must be resolved before worsen and become big problem, as well as the students in the study life he faced many crises withe friend and so on .
Thank you
The student must solve this these crises at the beginning of crisis when they are in the beginning easily resolved, but if he Leave the crisis with out any solving it will become a big problem difficult to resolve, but there are no crises with out non-solutions, even that is a big problem God will mock you people will help you in resolving this crisis and also there are many steps must be follow when resolving the crisis:
1 - Trust in God and asked him to help you and guide you to resolve the crisis
2 - Analyze the crisis correct analysis and deep thinking so you can easily solve.
3 - Consult a friend or ask the person who you can trust him Here comes the student choosing friends who are close to you in times of crisis and gives you advice and direct you the right direction to resolve the crisis.

Thank you for this brilliant topic I believe I learnt something out of it, because I’m one person who never want to share my problems with anybody because I believe in myself but still there is a saying which says a problem shared its half solved. If you don’t share your problems it appears like the problem is so huge to be solved and end up putting you under a lot of stress.
I came to realize that more we grow up the more situations come our way for us to face, more especially when you are a student in university level, you will be facing lot of school work to do and also have problems from your family even in your relationship. Even though this is stressful what I can say is that you need to relax and take it easy, you don’t need to hit your head against the wall because that won’t solve anything rather it will bring lot off stress, which will depress you even more. Some times you don’t need to think about the problems you have, ignore them as if they are not there get to spend time with your friends to avoid being lonely and the more you talk to them sharing your situations will make you fell better to know that someone’s situation is worse than yours. Also you need to join some clubs in the school to avoid spending much time doing nothing because you may end up having suicidal thoughts.
The other thing is that you need to see things in a positive way, if you are always thinking negatively you won’t get anywhere, your problems will oppress you even more. You should fine something to smile for, for example maybe you lost your father be happy because your mother is still there to support you, that’s better because others lost both parents.
In conclusion I advice students to take problem as a test to the next level of your life, don’t take it too personal because you are not the only one in that situation and you are not in that position to stay one way or the other you will be over it.:)

Live happily everyday will help your problem gone, you can do somthing that you like to forget about everything and runaway from problems you faced on.

we can't avoid from making mistake and the most important thing is we must learn from our mistake.
sometimes people always thought they was right and we are the one to blame.it's easy to find a friend but it's hard to find a real friend.
different people have their different attitude.
as for me, i always express my feeling by listening to music, and i will listen to the song that related to my situation
so many times until i'm feeling better, that's how i express my feeling.
i love when my friends express their feeling to me, because i will take it as the strenghten for myself and it makes me realize that different people will have a different story. that is how god test us. life will not be interesting without a problem. trust me, you will always need a friend, no one can live all alone. if your friends make you feels down, there will always be a friend who can cheer you up ! :)

most commonly crisis for malaysian students are love crisis and addicting to social networking sites such as twitter and facebook. when students is in love, they will always face crisis. and when they do, their capability to think wisely is limited because they are not in a proper state of mind. their decision making will be influenced by their heart as well. for the social networking addition, students sometimes tend to over telling people about their life without noticing that they may have told about their private life and may make things smooth for their stalker to know bout their life and will be an easy victim to a cyber crime. tq.

when i first read the title "student crisis" i thought to myself that it is indeed a student's life on daily basis. it is a challenge that is met by ,possibly, every student.

Depending on how you may react to such challenges, is very crucial.

no one is perfect, so it is better for someone to be true about how they feel, if they feel that there is a crisis coming on the way, then better to seek help or tackle it before the crisis takes place.

Good friends around someone is also a big aid. In case someones behavior changed in an unacceptable manner, close friends will be there to tell in the face that you are not doing well, and u might be under pressure.

the good thing is that, these cases will be easier to deal with in the future, because each person will develop a mechanism to detect and tackle such situations from past experiences.

Finally, we need to know that denying these cases will not help in overcoming them, rather, it will make things even worse.

I wish all the best to my colleagues and hope that no one falls against it, and keep a steady march towards their goals.

however, i wish to add some more points to the topic on how to handle stress. Firstly, think positively, grab positive vibes to ourselves, be optimistic, and
be grateful. Last but not lease
pray for God's help to ease the problem so u could go through obstacles.

I truly believe that a student may face a crisis at some point of life and for most of the students, it is inevitable.Usually, most of us wont realize until it is too late and when we are too indulged in our crisis. Why do i say so? it is because i have been in these kind of crisis before.

To accept ourselves as a victim of a crisis is indeed hard and affects our emotions drastically. However we should bear in mind it is not the end of the road. Life is not a bed of roses, there will be thorns and rocks to be faced and and crisis in life should be regarded as an obstacle on the way towards achieving success in life.

The source of a crisis is not what we should seek for but the solutions that we can take to overcome it. We should believe in ourselves and keep in m ind that everything happens for a reason and all the obstacles and struggles teaches us important lessons in life.

So rather than breaking down, lets just take a deep breath, remember our Creator who takes care of us and move on with life because for a every problem there is a solution and those solution maybe just around the corner waiting for u to stumble upon them.

Hi Puan Zue,

I'm so sorry for the late post hope you don't mind.

Student crisis?? I always in crisis as me myself as a student I cannot avoid from this kind of situation. Stress, frustated and so on. That's what we been called as a student. Its common thing that happen if you're a student. We cannot run away. Just bear in mind there is always a problem and there is always a solution. Always something and remember God gives you such this kind of crisis to test you. HE won't give it to you if you cannot face it. God won't burden us. HE love us.

But you have to be remember always remember Allah. Don't miss your Solat. Always pray. HE always listen to you. Trust HIM and HE will show you the way out. And don't forget your parents, always ask for your parents blessing in anything you do in your life as a student or whatever you'll be soon.

People said life is not easy but it is actually depend on us either we want our own life easy or been in trouble. Oh by the way madam this is such a great post because you let us know on how to deal with what called 'Student Crisis'.

Dear Madam,

Crisis is like a companion to us because it is always there. As u said, “crisis lurks in every corner of our challenging life. If we are prepared for it, there's hope that we won't fall prey to emotional outbursts or immature decisions.” The problem with me is that, I always make decisions when I’m unstable and/or emotional. This will then turn to be the wrong decision! I still can’t figure how to handle them. Just pray and wish that all the challenges and obstacles that had happened along my life will make me more mature and much wiser. And thank you madam, for the tips :)

Before this, I really distress in handle my behavior and emotions such as crisis in money, friendships, relationships, and etc. After I reading your post regarding ‘student crisis’, I had try my best on it and its work for me. But, I don’t know it’s really works for others. Hehe..

Well, there are maybe several factors why students change their behavior or emotions. Sometimes, as a human being.. we have a lot of problems that sometime we think it’s hard to solve it. When we shared with friends.. sometime it’s not working because of trusts. For me, when crisis comes to destroyed me.. I rather shared with my mom or sister because they know everything about me.

So, different peoples have different solutions to handle it.. But yeah, thanks again for sharing to us mdm..! We really appreciated it. :D

Thank you.

Student crisis is normal things for youth, because people says at this age is when they want to search their identity and meaning of life, when they not agree about somethings they’ll rebel, and emotions and desire control their body more than the mind. I agree with the four ways to overcome student crisis and one of the most important things is faith to others. When we see people that currently in this crisis, its better not to judge and condemn them, its just make things worse, have faith. The best things to handle people in this situation is just smile and be there with them, don’t ask anything about their problem and present ourselves in the same level as them, not that we are more superior than them because we don’t have any problem. Religion teachings and good deeds can also cure life crisis.

What is a crisis?

When a person experiences or perceives a threat to self-esteem, significant relationships, or role mastery, anxiety and fear are aroused. When the usual coping strategies do not restore an internal sense of confidence that these feelings can be tolerated and managed, a crisis state ensues. The person's usual coping mechanisms are overwhelmed and the anxiety and fear create a heightened tension. It is in this climax of tension that a window of opportunity for growth is opened. The need to relieve the tension increases the motivation to explore alternative resolutions to end the psychological disruption. A crisis needs to be distinguished from an emergency. An emergency is an event that requires immediate attention and prompt action to establish safety. If someone is hurt, or there is an immediate danger, University Police should be contacted immediately.

At one time or another everyone feels upset or distressed. What can we do to help them?
• Talk to the student in private when you both have time
• Express your concern in non-judgmental terms
• Listen to the student and repeat the gist of what the student is saying
• Identify options available to the student
• Clarify the costs and benefits of each option for handling the problem from the student's point of view
• Respect the student's value system
• Make appropriate referrals if necessary
• Make sure the student understands what action is necessary and make plans to follow-up with the student on this action

Thank you very much Madam for this speech, which strain the attention of everyone.
Crisis a huge topic, especially among young students, because young people in their age are allowed to drift quickly within negative changes, so we they must pay attentions to every change in their life. frankly the points that you mentioned is very important:
Maintaining the Friends of the most important points of solutions of crises because the person at the age of young people in particular has two families: his parents and his brothers and family of his friends, and the second is the closest to him. For this in Maintaining them will be great strength in solving any crisis, especially old friends who are the the real friends can be trusted, and the only ones who are afraid of your falling into the wrong ways, and if there are any changes in your attitude they are closer than any body to noticed so they alert you early and admonishes you Even if you had a fight with them that because they are care a lot about you. So don't get lost twice in succession.
The point of the expression of feeling, it is also important and the psychological problem is the most serious problems on the person. Don't stand in your place and blame, cry, and went absent-minded. when there is crisis we need your mind only, not to your feelings. Start analyzing the problem and then to detect completely and then to find solutions, there is no problem do not have a solution.
Faith in God and he will give you the solution is also very important. don't not lose hope, so how many problems bigger than yours have been solved in different ways and not lose hope in God and be sure that he will guide you to the road but with proper effort and research on the solution.

Subject of very full of meaning Mum, charming words there. Thank you Mum to give us the opportunity to express about the valuable subjects.

Pn Zue,

Yeah there is someone have a same thinking as me, well said Manmathan, "No one can run from crisis and no one can deny that. Its a matter how we handle the crisis...Is it going to make us stronger or going to pull us down?. Everything depend on us"

Nothing remain the same forever, no matter good things or bad things. When it is time for something to happen , of course it will happen somehow in the sense of crisis. It's all depends on an individual how to overcome it.

How do i overcome crisis? Wonder, i actually practicing something similar in my life as stated by Pn.Zue :

1) maintain good friendship with your best friend - someone who really understand me well.

2) Write diary - express every single thing, just let it go.

3) Believe in GOD - everything happens for some reason.

4) Never ever give up - Simple, try to motivate yourself, take every negative thing positively, set your mind "you can overcome it, there is a way"

Sometimes, its not easy to overcome crisis, you have to go through some pain and tears too. Now, when i think back whatever crisis that i gone through and currently going through, i feel i'm right about it , "Nothing is forever" although i wish it will be forever for some good things.

Atlast but not the least, try to apply the tips given to overcome crisis, i'm pretty sure you too can do it and can be even stronger than you know. You will learn alot through each crisis that you go through, take it as experience and try to avoid it in future.

Thank you.

I agree with my friend Omar about the reason of having friends! Without our friends it's gonna be hard to go throw a crisis or a problem in a simple way to say. You can go and check my comment about friendships is bless!

When I go throw a problem, first thing I do is to share with my best friend and the people who are close so I don't feel lonely on it. Without them I would suffer solving it. Another reason why I share with them so that I don't fix it with russing the things up!

My advice to all is when you are going through a crisis just don't panic and solve it slowly, the world won't end by having it.

God bless all..

Students encounter stress for a variety of reasons. Academics, family problems, social situations, work, and financial concerns are just some of the sources of stress. While most students cope successfully with the demands of college life. However, when some the pressures become overwhelming and unmanageable, it may lead to student crisis. I used to face this problem personally in past and I have overcome this problem by talking to someone whom I can trust and concern about me. I am glad to see that UNITEN take concern about this matter seriously. Meantime, I would like to share the Puan Zue’s favorite quote that keeps me motivated, “No matter what happens, life goes on.”

Hi Mam Zue, talk about student crisis. What i can say for this topic is student can't get away from crisis in their life. I want to talk crisis in term of money. Sometimes, the student got problem or conflict because of they is a problem. I here not to blame anyone else including me. For example, we all know that student always have problem not enough money. Why? Because they can't even care their money. Before this, i'm the one who can't care my money. I always buy what i want without thinking. But now i learn from my mistake and i can say that i don't have money crisis in my life now. I know, if we are too rich but we can't even care our money, we will slowly be same level as poor! Student always say that they don't have enough money even though they borrow money from PTPTN or others. But if we can see clearly, when it time student get money from PTPTN, what they use that money for? Are they budget their money to spend in 1 semester? Based on my experience, i already know why student like to borrow PTPTN. BECAUSE they want to buy stuff, gadget, useless item. For example, they got RM2000 from PTPTN then next day they bought new handphone like Iphone 10 for RM1800. Did they notice that their crisis come from themselves! That why, what can i say here, we should prepare in any situation to avoid crisis in our life. Be smart to manage our life before our life manage us.
Thanks you. :)

Crisis point of college age, according to Jung, is a clash of youth with the requirements of real life are not always consistent with his own ideas. If it is an illusion, contrasting with the reality, then immediately come and problems. This is often associated with very high expectations, with the underestimation of the external difficulties unfounded optimism or, conversely, negativism. The young people gradually realize that the world - is not only the happiness and pleasure, decay begins her childhood faith and optimism. But often young men for a long time continue to cling to the child's position, expecting that everything will come by itself and in accordance with the wishes.
Sometimes young people come great fear of growing up, the desire to once again become a small escape from the problems they blame on the shoulders of another person. The fear of growing up can cause psychosomatic manifestations, when young people are simply "wear" the mask of adulthood behavior. Often, the fears and anxieties are also concentrated around the reflection on the meaning of their lives.
This kind of behaviour can cause crisis and other problems. For some people is easy to recover, but for anothers is a big deal. But anyway, every and each person of this planet must have a great attitude and strong vision of his own lives. Don't ever give up and you will see how others will start to give up first.

All people at any age face with such a problem, but different people treat crisis differently. Any type of problems may cause the crisis. There are people who can take control of a situation and solve problems quickly. Another type of people become weaker and gives up. Those who can overcome the problem may be considered as already organized, mature person, because the ability to solve problems comes with experience. Unfortunately, some people do not learn it throughout the whole life.
Students face crisis very often. They may worry about relations with friends, family, and lecturers. The choice of major and university also may cause crisis. I’m a student and know it exactly ;) The only thing students need in such situations is support, advices of relatives and friends.

Of course crisis can be avoided! It's depends on how you overcome it. Wherever i get stress or emotional, i will find some way to get rid of it. I do agree with the ways given by Madam Zue.
For me, i will try to release my stress by my own first before find some other ways. I will listen to my favorite song and sing along.
If i still can't get back to the right mood, i will find my friends to talk about it. Friends are always the best person to tell them your problems. Unlike parents, yu may have some secrets that you won't tell them. For friends, you can share everything with them. When i feel stress, feel like finding someone to tell my problems, the first person i will find is my best friends. They will help me solve the problems by giving me suggestions. They will solve the problems together with me. That's why a good friendship is very important.
Let's say if i can't my friends. The last thing i will do is by writing it out. Don't care about the grammar, don't care about the spelling error, just write it all whatever i want to say! Why? Because i just want to release out my stress! Why care about the grammar so much since i already stress, if i still care so much about the grammar mistake i probably will be more stress and can't really releases it out. Sometimes i will write it through Twitter or sometimes i will write it in my diary. I called it secret diary which i will not let anyone to read it. Though the writing, i will always feel better. I think writing is the best way for me when i find no one or don't want to find anyone.
So, that's how i get rid of crisis when i facing it. Everyone has their own way to avoid crisis. Among all the ways mentioned, sure one of them can suit you the most.

Studies will determine your future, but I still cannot foresee how my future would be, therefore my crises at this stage of life are studies and future.
I have a bad attitude that is always magnify small matter into big problem. I am a sensitive person, I could be upset all the day just because of a small matter and other people might not see it. After the day, I would feel myself very silly to care the trivial matters and let myself upset. So the best thing to solve this is to always talk to someone. Parents, siblings, close friends, soul mates, anyone will do as long as they could be your good listener. Perhaps blog is the good pal. You could write up everything in it to release your anger, depression, and happiness. Write a post is like imagining someone would read your blog, there is always invisible ears are waiting to listen to your problems. If you have a pet, your pet definitely is your best mate too! Include a tortoise. :) Pet have souls, they could understand your feelings and they could share your happiness and sadness. Blog and pet couldn’t give you solution and answer, but you always have a way to release your stress.
Cross the bridge when you get there. Life goes on. #yolo

hello Puan Zue
Crisis is a very strong word which can impact most of the people in this world.Young people often represent a large proportion of those affected by crises.having Crisis in our life is something very natural.I believe that people make their own crisis and they are the one who can solve it.
Life in crisis zones can be deeply troubling to anyone.some factors such as breakdown of social systems, personal traumas such as the loss of family members, disruption of school and friendships and most importantly romantic relationships may lead to early sexual initiation and other high-risk behaviour, including drug and alcohol abuse.Today, youngsters have made smoking a trend. These young smokers do not realize the dangerous effects of smoking.anyways, I myself have been through some of the factors I mentioned earlier. I lost my grandfather , I lost my boyfriend, I have been through financial problems, family problems and so many other things.I could handle all of these difficulties myself and I can feel how much strong I am now. having or in other way Experiencing crisis in our life is making us more powerful, strong and more knowledgeable which will help us to overcome our future crisis with the least suffering.I like the song sang by :kelly clerkson, Stronger" , she says "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", She is RIGHT.
Strong people make as many mistakes as weak people. Difference is that strong people admit their mistakes, laugh at them, learn from them. That is how they become strong.
my last words, I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles, and REMEMBER that tomorrow is the first day of your future.never give up.

Same goes to students, the main priority for student is to study. Why we need to study? Because we want a better life and be successful person for sure. So to be success there must be many barriers, pressures and problem we need to face it as well as we need to sacrifice something like relax time and money. Some said that problem is a life. I do agree with it. So, student crisis is just temporary. As a student we need to realize that we have big responsibility ahead us. This is a learning process for student on how to manage crisis and also how to avoid it from happens again and again. There are many type of crisis nowadays such as friendship crisis. True friend is hard to get and its up to ourselves on how to get it. Everyone already feels this crisis I bet. It is because, when we make a wrong decision to find a true friends, then we will get hurt on this issue. For me, we can be friends with anyone we want but, please do not copy his/her bad's attitude. Otherwise, you will get peer influence from them. I hope we as a student can overcome this kind of crisis and try to be friendly with others. Last but not least, student crisis should not disturb our studies and also our future life. But, please take it as a challenge to be success :) .. thank you.

there are many ways to tackle the crisis, as mentioned above. but perhaps none of these can help them fully in addressing the crisis they face. The most important factor for them to deal with the crisis they face is that they need highly motivated and strong self-confidence for the crisis they face.

University life is frequently a stressful time. Nowadays university students face number of pressure. The student crisis that I always have is how to manage my time well between studies and hang out. For me, university is challenging.  For many it requires a much larger effort than high school did, and unlike most high schools, university packs about three years of classes into one.  Many students take a full 15 credit semester, while other tries to cram in 18 or even 21 credits.  At times it seems impossible for students to stay on top of it all.So, what I am to do is i need to know my limits.  If i can't handle 18 credit semesters, it will be worth it in the long run to slow down a little and only take 15.  While the purpose of university is to study and to further the education of an individual, that doesn't mean students should study all of the time.  It is important to schedule time for fun outside of study, and to take study breaks to keep the mind fresh and clear. My first step is I plan to do a little study each day. I also not leave it until the last minute to start work on assignment and also allow myself to have time for relaxation and catching up with family and friends

Student Crisis...

Students can be defined as learners at any age of any subjects, and crisis can be further broken down to problem, catastrophe faced by this group of people. Student life supposed to be the most fun filled, stress-free and exciting moments of life, yet life is not a bed of roses and it’s proven that even a student life can be a challenging one. I will like to share my opinion fully on crisis faced by university students.

Student’s crisis arrives in many formulas, basically the nature, emotion, sociological, physical and psychological factors contribute in the crisis faced by students. Nature may never been in the list but lately everyone had been gasping about heat and hot!! The weather had been seriously annoying and being a student imagine been locked up into the hostel room without an air conditioner.. However for students from rural areas, this could be a gift but for those who born in air-Cond room, this could be a first challenge.

Next the emotion, being away from beloved family, nervousness can create crisis among students. Homesick are common among new students, and I’m critical at this stage. However often consoling me why I am here could be very consoling. During my first few months in hostel my mum used to crack a joke saying “I didn’t marry you off to a man whom you hate!”...

Getting into the right group of friends can be another crisis too. Mixing with the wrong group not only will discourage us to move further more but will also subsidise as a studies damaging factor. This is the sociological factor. As this is the age where love blooms in the heart of most the youngsters, wrong relationship may end up as a crisis too. Rapport with lecturers too plays a vital role at this stage. Meeting up lecturer often to discuss and seek advice of academic related matters can curb a part of student crisis.

Following this is the physical factor. Time constraints such as meeting the assignment deadlines, to manage the time between play and study could be challenging too. Some of the students will face crisis in terms of food, especially for students who always had tasted home cooked food, choosing the right food with the right price will be a great task to accomplish.

Finally the psychological factor; as students are exposed to different method of learning, assignment operating modules; students need to balance both their right and left brain. A mix of the other stated factors will definitely create a psychological reaction within a student; one should know how to balance the other entire crisis so that they can lead a peaceful life as a students.

“Rough sea will never make a good sailor”, same goes for every human being. Every crisis are meant to sculpture us to be better.

Student. The best of times, the worst of times. While time spent at college is a fond memory and a happy experience for most, college life is not without its problems. For me, the toughest one is academic pressures. Getting a degree is not easy
Despite what we might think, everyone else is not achieving without effort. Second, money. I have to find ways to finance my expenses for house rent, foods and of course, entertainment :)

hi everyone,

crisis ? it is everywhere, anyone and anytime. mostly when we are talking about crisis it is about problem happened and it will put ourself under pressure no matter what.
crisis as a student ? common thing that happen is from friends, family or the study itself. as myself i will not take the problem too much and try to make everything simple. draging a problem for a long time will never ensure of a good result.
sometime it is good to be alone and think more about the consequences and solve a problem that you create. upon that that are no correct or incorrect way to handle a crisis as long as we have our own reason of why we doing it.
as the result, it depends on ourself on how to solve the crisis is it will be a good way ending or bad. so think of it. -Jim

crisis..
i always faced the crisis when i want to make a new adjustment to myself which resulting crisis in self-esteem.even little adjusment is counted as crisis. in this world, everyone else will face the crisis in their life which maybe in term of financial, health, relationship and so on.

somehow, crisis can be avoided. every crisis that occur, they must have the basic that create the crisis. so we find the basic of the crisis and generate the solution to counter it. the most important thing to be avoid by crisis is, maintain the good friendship. even our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said, keep the good friendship between you fellow brothers and sisters besides your prayer. so by follow his saying, we can avoid the crisis in relationship crisis. easy isnt ?

when i get upset, i always express out my feelings through my private blog. yes no one can read it but then by doing this, i feel calm. besides i also not forget to pray to Allah because whenvever we have problem, HE always there for us. never stop praying for good things to HIM.

in this life, one thing that i hold since i was young, NEVER GIVE UP. do not say give up unless you execute your action first rather than speak only. this is because, when you give up, it will lead you the failure in your life. plus the crisis might increasing day by day.

thanks :)

Speaking about Students crisis the best way is to try by all means to deal with the situation u are in not just sit back and relax and say “I am in crisis”. We should have brave hearts and come face to face with our daily problems, and definitely every problem has got its own solution there isn’t a problem without solution. This all depends on our ability and will to make the right choice to solve the problem we facing. Having a brave heart doesn't mean we can try to solve our problem on our own we can always ask for help.
There are many ways that can help students manage their crisis but if u just sit around it may be difficult to overcome the crisis. It would be a beautiful thing if day to day we can avert crisis or handle them well and I would like to see people living without having to deal with crisis on their day to day life.

Puan Zue, everyone in this world having crisis. not only student but worker, politician and nation are having crisis. the different between them is what is the crisis and how they handle the crisis.

student crisis mostly about financial, time, and relationship.
maybe they in learning period before become a real mature person? yeah maybe.

certain student don't want to ask money from their parents. they prefer to do part time job to gain their financial to buy something they want, pay their study fees and maybe for hangout with friends.

by doing part time job, student need to manage their time between work, study and socialize. if student can manage time, they will good in their study and have no problem with their work.

everything for me is managing time. if time we manage correctly then, everything will be smooth.

Hello mam,
CRISIS!!! It is the best thing and cannot be separated in our daily life no matter he/she is a student or worker or growing up child. But we as student are mostly affected by the crisis in different kind of ways such as procrastinate, financial problem, time management problem and problem regarding the relationship. Moreover, the crisis will become more peak if they got lots of stuff to handle and at the same time they did not get full cooperation from their friends as well from teammates. Actually all students are capable to avoid and handle this crisis but the laziness and careless attitude is affect them most.
This crisis can be handle appropriately if the students aware about it. Various ways we can use to handle this ‘thing’ such as express your feelings to the close friend of yours. Effectively this will work because most of the best friends always there to lend a hand to us no matter its good or bad time. Furthermore, we all have our own culture and own way to become closer to the God. By doing this, we can manage to control our mind and think positively to avoid the crisis. Basically, when we are close to God automatically we will become a calmer minder. If you attempt a failure never mind don’t forget to try again and again but never give up. Well, each person have their own way to handle their crisis so, guys please don’t take any decision when you are in sad or in angry mode and don’t let the mind to take over you. We must try our best to solve it as well.
Thank you.

Time spent at University is a memorable memory and a happy experience for most but we will still encounters with so many challenging situations that can't be avoided. While each persons problems are unique to their current circumstances, I know that there are a few problems that almost all students deal with at least once during their time at University or schools.

University is challenging for every student. For many it requires a much larger effort than high school did, and unlike most high schools, Uniten packs about three years of classes into 6 semesters for COIT's student, and four years of classes into 8 semesters for COE's student. Many students take a full 15 credit semester, while other try to cram in 18 or even 21 credits hours in one semester. At times it seems impossibe for students to stay on top of it all. You need to realize your self limits. If you can't handle 18 credit per semesters, it will be worth it in the long run to slow down a little and only take 15. While the purpose of college is to study and to further the education of an individual, that doesn't mean students should study all of the time. It is important to schedule time for fun outside of study, and to take study breaks to keep the mind fresh and clear.

Most of the common problems student will encounters is when it comes about money. Tuition fees are rising at the higher rates. Plus with daily eating-out, shopping, fuel for the car, and the price of textbooks, will be the student's worst nightmare. College students drop out of Universities each year because they cannot afford to pay for the expensive tuition fees. Others are forced to have part time job to pay for the fees and to support for their living expenses. But actually if student know how to manage their financial properly, they will not faced this kind of problems. For example, students can make less shopping, spend only for the real needs, eat out less, carpool, and share or buy used books to try to save some money.

Other than that, friends and roommates are usually good for a good time. However, they can get on each others nerves at times when both party raise the stress level of studies. Because these students are living together and seeing each other each day. Roommates are the closest person with you while studying. You tend to express your feelings with your bad behavior when you are stress. Students must remember to take some time out for themselves. If possible, students should get away from campus for a little while and go to a coffee shop, or a mall and just take some time to gather their thoughts and be alone.

So in my opinion, if you encounter with life crisis, stress management is very important. Starts with identifying the cause of stress in your life. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. Your true cause of stress aren’t always obvious and hardly to be seen. But once you know what is your main problem is, you can avoid all this life crisis and be happy as others.

Assalamualaikum and hai maam,

Crisis are one of the good friend of college students.Being here as a college student, life puts you under it's feet at times..trying to push you deep inside the ground.Every single thing can be a crisis depending on what is meant for us by God and on what we have do.Most of the time, crisis are written for us by God.It is one way how God tests our faith that is how we react upon it and what we do when we face it.The answer is actually to again seek God's help.Everything does revolves back to him right? At the mean time, sometimes we face crisis due to what we have done. For example, money crisis.May be when we use to have more than enough money in our hand, we waste it by buying some stuffs etc2.Therefore, God brought upon such crisis into our life to remind us of what we have done..one of the ways how God teach us, ^_^.Crisis are in away, good for us.We really have to educate ourselves on how to handle it in a good way.Just keep up the smile on our lips ALL THE TIME!It does sound weird, I don't deny, but it does work..for me atleast!!^_^

A student is prone to many crises, whether inside or outside school zone. And I think this is what family and friends are for, but that doesn't mean you, as a person in a crises should sit back and rely on your close ones to help you, you have duties towards yourself; don't let fear and bad thoughts take over your mind, don't panic or freak out, don’t isolate yourself, and just have a lot of faith in Allah, because Allah is always, just pray, read Quran, and ask Allah to guide you and help you, because no one can help you as Allah. Then just relax and you will feel better, much better!

Greetings everyone,

It is highly unusual for a student not to have a crisis; be it a financial crisis, relationship crisis or personal crisis. As a student myself, whenever it comes to crisis I treat it as a major problem.

Obviously, a major problem needs immediate attention. The only way to solve it is by fixing it. You can never fix a problem by constantly sharing and telling it to others without doing anything about it (i think that's what most girls do, tell others their problems but never bother to solve 'em)

Crisis is inevitable in student life. Exams, relationships, peer pressure and finance are just a few of crises that are gripping students' life.
Mdm. Zue, you have given us great tips on how to handle them. But it's up to students themselves to manage crises prudently. There have been times where my resolves had been tested severely. Thanks to god somehow I managed to thread through them with perseverance and support from my parents.

Crisis means that you are in a big trouble or problem and you have to solve your issues as quickly as possible because if not, the problem might not be solved. In my experience so far as a student, I’ve never really came to a point that the problem I’m having cannot be solved, but I also faced some issues just like any other students and I’ve also seen my friends who had a crisis as a student. Normally for students, they normally have crisis with their study life. But not for all students will have crisis with studies only. Some might have crisis with money, family, friends, and even with their girlfriends or boyfriends.
A person should not have the attitude of “I will deal with this problem later”. This attitude will only make the situation worse and later the problem will become a crisis. My Dad always advised me that when I’m having any sort of problem, I should solve the problem as soon as possible because at the last minute, you will not have many options or solution to you problems. This is completely true because this is where the crisis starts from, where you will be in a difficult situation. The problem will only become bigger if you delay to solve it. For students, if they are having a crisis no matter what it is about, it will definitely affect their studies. Students can also have a crisis in their studies. For example, when a student has a doubt about a topic, the student should clear the doubt with the lecturer as soon as possible because if he waits till the last minute of the final exams, he might not have the chance to clear his doubt. Most of the students are like that including me which results in poor grades. This becomes a crisis to students.
It’s not very hard to avoid a crisis. Just deal with a problem as soon as the problem rises and if you think you can’t manage a problem, consult others who can help you.

I would say that every day we face different crisis, example are love crisis, work crisis, friend crisis and many more. Actually, you don’t want the things in your life become miserable, so that’s the reason why you call them as crisis. In my opinion, just take all the simple things that miserable your life as challenge for you to be a better person. If you say that you have a very big conflict in your life, so do I. Everybody will face the same as you with different figure. Sometimes, it is good to have crisis rather than you are not do anything to improve yourself. So, always be positive and try to handle every single thing in your life with your own effort to solve your crisis.

you are correct. crisis has always existed in human life. The way to distinguish the crisis is just analyze it whether it is a severe test or otherwise. However, the crisis can be managed in various ways. what is the most important is DON’T EASILY GIVE UP as Ma’am Zue have written. come on! all people need to feel some of the crisis so that we will learn to become a more resilient and always get ready to face a variety of tests and difficulties afterwards. Do not let emotions control us, but what we have to do is to manage ourselves well. we still have some friends to tell with, we still have Allah to ask for help. we never truly alone. life as a student is the most challenging things. so, we all need to wake up, face it live our life happily.

This was the toughest I have ever had since I was child. Apart from family and friends, being alone, doing something that doesn’t come to my interest is torturing for me. When I think back about it, I was thinking how I had survived from these in which I have nothing better word to describe them besides sucks life. For the 3 years in the past, I was blaming myself all the time for making the worst decision for an irrational reason. But yet, life still need go on as it is no way back for me now. Regret for something that is in the past doesn’t change the future. Therefore, I should fight on and survive for 1 more year and I shall see the brightness of my future.

Salam Pn Zue & Friends,

I have to admit that I had dwelt myself in crisis while I'm studying here. And I believe many of us went through ups and downs during our student's life. But it does not really matter, it's how we handle it that matters, how we stand up and face the problem until the very end without losing ourselves.

Yes, student's life can be very stressful as most of us need to juggle heavy course loads with family, friends and other commitments. At this point, one should really seek for help from trusted people, your family, friends, lecturer or you can always seek some advice from any of of UNITEN's PRS members. If not, trust me, you may prolong your personal distress and reduce your ability to study effectively. Please do not wait until you find yourself facing academic difficulty, perhaps facing academic warning or suspension from studies.

So, last but not least, have faith in God, and believe that every cloud has a silver lining. No matter how unpleasant, difficult or even painful it might seem, with faith, support and strength, everyone can go through it eventually.

I can sense that student crisis during university life is the most critical as compared to the time during primary and secondary school life. Personally, i feel that secondary school life is like a bed of roses. I really missed school life where you don’t have to worry about your financial, food, abode etc. My parents will provide everything!
But, when it comes to university life, I started to realize that life is full of challenges! I used to count on my family in my academic and financial. Since the day i entered university, I have to learn to be independent and one area that I still struggling is financial management. I believe that financial crisis is the one of the major problem that every student is encountering. According to one of the Chinese proverbs, it says that 'With money, you can't do everything, but without money surely you can’t do anything!' Every time when it comes to the end of semester, I almost broke. How pathetic am I! I have no idea how the money had just gone from my wallet. All the time i will record the money that i spend daily and will plan in advance how much should i spend in a month. Thank God that I managed to survive and learn how to control my money usage recently. God's grace is always sufficient for me. Every time I encounter financial problem, He surely will open ways and help me in different kind of ways like people bless me with free meals! Haha…Financial crisis surely can be avoided. One must learn how to spend money wisely. Don’t overspend by purchasing unnecessary things! Always plan in advance how much you should spend in a month and instill a saving habit. If happens to have emergency situation or planning to have trips, you will not be dismay and worry whether money is sufficient or not. Although money is important in our life, but don’t love money. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. We should learn to be contend with the food and clothing that we have. Therefore, do not eager for money as some people have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Student crisis? I personally think that everyone will face some crisis in life, so do students. For me, I experienced a lot of crisis, in my academic and also my personal life. However, I am so grateful that until now, I still able to positively cope with them.

I think that in order to solve any kind of crisis is by having support from people around us. This is the best solution for me. Once we try to solve them in our own way, without any advice from others, then most likely that we will fall to something that is negative.

Therefore, when we face any kind of crisis, be sure that there is someone beside us to listen and also don't forget Allah S.W.T:)

What is crisis? Crisis is the complex or unstable situation in a life such as family, economy, society and need an immediate decision is necessary. The quotes “…crisis is a perception or experience of an event or situation as an intolerable difficulty that exceeds the person’s current resources and coping mechanisms.” by James and Gilliland, 2001 shows the definition of crisis. As a student, we need to manage a crisis to prevent it affect our student life. How to manage a crisis? First, we must always be prepared to faced the crisis. Second, if have a problem and crisis that we cannot solve it, we can ask for help to someone that you are trust and close to you such as parents and friends. Third, always close and pray to Allah. Lastly, like madam said is never and never give up. We must to faced all the problem that come out to survive in life..=)

Even though the crisis make us crying, feel sad and weak, just think that everything happen has their own reason. Some people that face this crisis patiently can achieve their goals easily compare to other people that easy to give up when facing it. Every crisis which happened on them, they took as lessons.

For my opinion crisis take place among students because of stress, status prolem, and misunderstanding. The main reason is because of stress for example student always don’t know how to control their stress and show to people like scold their friends this can make fight between two students. The second reason is status problem among student because got rich student and poor student. Usually rich student underestimate the poor student. Finally misunderstanding between students.

Student crisis. You wouldn't believe how many of those i've encountered, friends crisis, money crisis, subject crisis, kene bar crisis. Personally it does affect me mentally. But it hit me that this crisis is meant to happen to me sooner or later. It just shows me that, i should not panic and act immaturely in crisis, rather try to resolve this crisis as efficient as possible, before I turn that student crisis into a student meltdown. To be honest these kind of crisis couldn't be solved with the aid of friends, or someone close to you. I think its better to seek help from someone far more mature and experienced. Problems that evolved to crisis is a definite yes to seek for someone's help. Anyway nice article madam. looking forward to see more. tq

I don't know any tips to overcome crisis.
Thats all i can tell about crisis as a student.
thank you.

I think that student crisis comes from social environment and it’s something normal because it happens to everyone. It could be a Family matters, relationship problems, educations, etc… For example, when we lose a dearest person of ours, it can definetly lead to physicals and mentals issues that can make us ask a thousand questions on, if this life is worthed? Why, do good people have to die and bad people remain? So we make bad decisions and we hurt the ones that we love the most and then we wake up one day and realize that everything is just written to be happened for a reason. There are people struggling everyday, whether from a disease, war or hunger. So we thank God, and we have to be strong by letting it go of the pain because soon or later we are called to be death as well. Secondly, being in a relationship is a full time job eventhough we love our life partners, we must tell the truth because most of the relationships are based on compromises, like for example i want an orange but he wants an apple, I want to go right but he wants to go left(LOL) so I have to make sacrifices and go left with him. Plus, we do everything to please them, to make them happy but at the end some of them they will just end up cheating on us or leaving us, so this will generate a crisis followed by depression and stress that are going to affect our studies. Last but not least, as we are students, we can have Family problems. Some parents are pushing their children to do something that the children are not capable of, so that it could be one of the major problems of crisis. Finally, student crisis can happen all the time as I mentioned it earlier.

Student crisis. Nowadays a lot of students are getting involved in social crisis. After entered college or university, students making new friends. It all depends on how they choose their friends. If they mixed up with some bad guys then they will be end up in problems and it causes them to consume drugs, alcohol or attempt for suicide. In conclusion, friends play an important role for a student in their educational life. They should choose their friends very carefully to succeed in life.

In my point of view I think that every student does go through crisis at one point of their life. But not every crisis lead to problems. There are few few that actualy teaches us new experiences to face the real face of reality.Crisis tend to happen if a student is unable to manage and organize their path of life with passion and intelligence. To avoid crisis,a student must be able to stand up for theirself facing the world no matter what the consequence might be.Altough there is many ways to overcome a crisis, many students does not sucessfully tackled the problem. It a must that everyone has their own role to be played in order to have crisis free life.

This post is much more likely a guideline for students to avoid being in a crisis.

There are lots of problems which is made by us that can bring a terrible situation to our lives. Life has enough problems for us to face we should not be the ones bringing more.

Maintaining good friendships is a good thing to avoid of being alone. When people are alone they start to panic and pull back or step aside. It is really hard to stand alone in student life.
The word friends describes itself, friends must be there when life gets handy.

YOU my lecturer, is one of the awesome person! You gave motivate lectures and thoughts for all the people around you, especially your students.

Ma'am,

as a student, i myself have issues that became bigger that resulted into mass crisis that effect how i feel about studying nowadays. The pressure that came along with the crisis make my feet trembled as if i don't find the solutions really quick, i will be a dead meat just trying to solve it. But there's many solutions to choose from eventually, whether you pick the good or the bad ones, depends on the situations actually. It is like a boat ride in the sea, you choose to use a speed boat or just a ferry, a slow moving alternative that resembles the slow actions that you will take. otherwise, you will pick the speed boat la, as it will handled by yourself to wherever destination that you choose from.

so picking the right tools and actions needed as you will have so many crisis in your life, it is just the way you handle it in fast or slow actions, and sometimes the actions will resulted different kind end results. So that's my opinion about the crisis!

For me, student crisis is just another crisis that is faced by mankind. Crisis is anywhere, happens anytime regardless your life stage. It’s one sort of personal crisis that every people come across; on top of that we have family crisis or even national crisis and many other form of crisis. But beyond doubt student crisis is very critical at a very critical stage of life.
There are a lot of crisis type that are encountered by students, such as academic performance crisis, identity, relationship, finance, family, peer pressure, self esteem, social life and many more. And at this stage as well, it is the part that one’s soul, mind and values are very fragile, in addition that they are very energetic, excited to explore everything and tends to make mistake as they most likely to make decision according to their only heart. therefore, teenagers should try to understand themselves, try to be patient and be prepared for the crisis so that they could make the best out of the crisis they faced. I believe that every person experience one of the student crisis, maybe experiencing two or more crisis at the same time, has their own way of going through all the crisis. This definitely benefit on building them more mature in decision making, as well as constructing a solid and strong individual and most importantly preparing them for future tougher crisis. Personally, I think a person that encounter less or maybe zero crisis in daily life is the real happy and stable person.

Anxiety and fear are aroused when a person experiences or perceives a threat to self-esteem, significant relationships and role mastery. Reactive aggression is one common response that signals that a student has been overwhelmed by feelings of rejection, frustration or shame. This destabilization can be frightening but it can also be an opportunity for growth especially when it is met by an instructor who recognizes the behaviour as a sign of vulnerability. The need to relieve the discomfort increases the motivation to explore alternative resolutions when there is sufficient trust between students and instructors. Every student will facing a crisis but in a different way.

What we just can do is handle that crisis in a good way. We cannot run from avoiding a crisis. And people learnt something from a crisis or problem. We need patient in handling a crisis. And you need a good surrounding when u faced with a crisis. Cause, it can decrease your stress. Find a good friend. Friend is the nearest person in student life. And friends never let their friends down. 

Right now I am considered as final year student, because of taking FYP1. In my view point for each student the most difficult period of time are: the time when he/she becomes student and when he/she graduates the university. Because when you become as a student everything for you looks like new and unfamiliar. New system, new people, new friends, new and strict lecturers, for all of them it is difficult to adopt immediately. Everyone needs a time to adopt. And this period of time can be stressful for you. As well as, in final year it is difficult and stressful, too, because of taking final year projects. Most of students do not sleep at night by preparing as for final year project as for other difficult subjects. However, I think we do not need to study for marks. Marks cannot really evaluate us. Everyone must study just for himself or herself. From my view point, the quality of your knowledge is better when you study by yourself rather than just for marks. And I think this life is not real life and people do need to spend their all effort in order to reach everything in this life.

Most of us, or should I say students to be exact, they just love to fret almost everything about their life, be it from their studies prospect, friends and family matters or anything, they could kept on whining about it all day long.

To think that life as a student is miserable and full of agony, well, that perception is totally wrong. If you don't believe it, wait till you graduated, then only you will learn the real crisis that life could bring to you. To have all responsibilities and commitments being put onto your shoulders so suddenly, perhaps, it's quite a major adjustments for you to acclimate yourself with the real world.

Crisis happens. What really matters is how you handles them, of either you fall deep down and being buried along with them or you face it with such bravery and get back on your knees. Enjoy your life as a students. Try as much as you could from getting yourself tangled in a crisis. But, if it still appears in your life, face it with a smile as when life gives you lemon, make some lemonade out of it.

Regards.

Assalamualaikum Ma'am,

Layman's term: crisis can be defined as conflict, problems, dilemma, and anxiety. As a final year student, i think i have some experienced when my mom and my younger brother in the hospital at the same time for some type of illness. And at the same time, my elder brother is on a ship and cannot take care my family. My father need to work and for me I got tons of exams in that week. It’s really making me stress and tension about the situation. I have to take care my mom in other block and my brother in other block at the same time. I don’t know what to do but I’m only pray to god to help me for my exams. And Alhamdulillah, next morning my elder brother back to land early and he take care of my family. That was a miracle from Him. And then I don’t GIVE UP and have FAITH in me so i study for the last minute in the bus moving to KL and take exam. Yes, i pass. Another miracle that i love to thanks so much. And not forget to my beloved friends that always support me like Tiqa Sham. :) So, in the nutshell, whatever crisis that we have to go through, there is nothing that doesn’t have a solution. Always remember, that He will be with us. :D

Crisis is like a test to a person to make us become more ready to live in future. Don’t make crisis affect our daily life. Think that all the crisis we have will make us a successful person. There are crisis that we created our self and crisis that others make that affect us. When we are faced with the crisis once, we can easily can adapt the crisis next. One of the songs state that what doesn’t kill u make u stronger. That’s sentence shows that any problem we’re facing, that will make us be stronger and well prepared next time. For me, crisis can’t be avoided. Just faced the problem, and try to solve it. We must end something that we start. All the point about how to prepare for crisis are very good point that we must take note to be well prepare to get through in these challenging world.

Student Crisis which is similar as a student facing a depression moment. Some college students get depressed for the same reason that people get depressed in the general population- chemical imbalance, genetics, a history of abuse, family problems, the death of a loved one, a traumatic event in one's past, and many other reasons as well. The onset of depression often happens when someone is in their late teens and early twenties-- right during the college years. Factors in a typical college student's lifestyle can help cause and contribute to depression, including:
1)The stressful experience of trying to balance classes, work, social life, and other conflicting expectations.
2)Uncertainty about money.
3)Uncertainty about the future after college.
4)Homesickness and the experience of leaving one's family for the first time.
5)Problems with romantic and sexual relationships, which many students are experiencing for the first time.
6)Sleep deprivation and poor sleep habits.
7)Poor diet and exercise habits.
8)Alcohol or drug abuse
9)Sexual assault, which is a common problem on college campuses.
10)Eating disorders, another common problem.
11)Dorm and friendship "drama"

I used to have problems when I was a school boy. Used to get nervous when I see teachers. I never did anything wrong but i used to get very very nervous. But as I grew up, I was having no problem. But still i used to get nervous when I come across the discipline teacher. In Form 3 I was elected to become a prefect. The first teacher that I had to see every morning was of course the discipline teacher. As time went by, I realized all humans have different characteristics and attitudes. Not everybody is good in everything. Not everybody is perfect. But still, all of us have to do our part in order to achieve atleast near perfection.

Nowadays, university students go through many problems during their 4 years of life in studies. During this time of period, students always rushing and trying to get better marks in order to qualify as a first class student which may end up with unexpected disease. In my point of view, getting a good or excellent pointer will only increase the chances of getting job with highly paid salary rather than getting experience on it. By the way, this kind of student may lose their chances to think or act independently once they enter to working life atmosphere. Yes of course, getting a good job with highly paid salary is everyone’s dream but not until you memorize and implement all the things you learned throughout the semester only been utilized once in final examination. Students should practice and absorb whatever they learned in their daily life of studies because this will make them to be a perfect person once they step into a working life zone. Other than, students should expose their self in other field of studies too rather than concentrating only in one filed. For an example, an IT student have to learn about history, geography and other related studies to enhance or prepare them self for the future working life. This will help them to get more knowledge and at the same time they will gain enough experience to tackle problems in future. In short “wide” field of studies is always better than “deep” field of studies.

Currently, the crisis in which students often we hear everywhere. No matter which school or university. This issue is also suitable for student vice president. In this UNITEN, we hear a lot about the problems of these students. For example, in the hostel. Many laptop and mobile phone stolen by our own students. It was difficult to contain this crisis because of a person begins at home.
This student crisis we see happening in many schools. For example, to play truant, smoke cigarettes, a fight in the school, and much more. So I hope this crisis in fewer students in our country. Peace yow ! :p

Student crisis? What’s the meaning? My point of view is student who makes themselves stress, psychologically crisis and conflict. These are all very common in our life but it also can be prevented easily. Why this would happen in our life? This is because the surrounding that affects you perhaps. So, how to overcome these unhappy manners? A piece of cake perhaps…
The methods that Pn.Zue posted are good enough for us to overcome it. I would choose maintain good friendship. What so good about this method? Friends are the most important person in our life. Without them is like we are living in darkness. They are the one who can really brighten us up when it come to problem solving. Why I not choosing parents? This is because sometimes we don’t tell all our problems to our parents.
Never give up would be the one which is very important in our life when it come to problem solving. When you are having problem, try to remember and think about this sentence “never give up”. By using this, you can really overcome it easily. I use this when it comes to sports. During my schools days, I used to represent my school in table tennis and tennis as well. In a competition, there are a lot of good players in it. Therefore, even my ability is not good enough to compete with them, I will still use ‘never give up’ to upset my stronger opponent!
Lastly, I would say different people would use different methods to overcome crisis but these two methods is worth to go for a try.

Crisis! I believe everybody have been in this situation before. None are perfect in this world. Unless they live in far away from the planet called the” earth” so they would not know the word “crisis”. There are many types of crisis happening in this world. It is all up to a person whether they notice about the crisis or not. In my opinion, while handling crisis people should stay calm, review the reason why the crisis even started. Plan what action that need to be taken. If you need to confront someone, talks carefully and nicely so they would not feel offended by you. Students will definitely have crisis whether it is about their relationship, friendship, group work and etc. For example, when a student given a group assignment, their view and opinion of handling the assignment might vary from each other and they can end up arguing. These would end up badly for the rest of group’s member. Thus, the solution is, students should be understanding and accept each of the group’s member’s ideas, evaluate how each of the idea can be beneficial to the group. In short, people need to learn to accept people point of view so crisis could be avoided.

Most of student in universities or colleges have their own crisis. Sometimes, crisis makes them loose their friendship. In my opinion, friendship is the most important relationship that a student should protect. Most students are away from their family when they get to universities and the people that are close to them are their friends. Thus, to avoid the crisis among friend these aspect need to be considered. First, respect! Student need to learn to respect to each other. Born in the same year doesn’t mean that they are an equal match for everything, they should know their boundaries. Second is trust! Trust is important in relationship as it shows how much that you would give in into that kind of relationship. Thus, honesty is needed to gain trust and friendship can last forever if both of the elements are there. Lastly, teamwork! To avoid crisis also required teamwork. In any situation, student need to discuss on the subject that they been working on, be open minded, listen to what they have to say. In that way, crisis between friends could be avoided.

This article was very knowledgeable. Truth to be told, it has never crossed my mind that what I have experienced is crisis till I read this article. It made me realize that things that I have experienced have indeed been crisis. I mean, come on, who wouldn’t have experienced crisis to come to think about it?
Life is so full of them. I believe it is one of the ways maturity grows within. Thanks to this article, next time I find myself in this kind of situation I will know how to handle it.
Being a student, especially in a university environment you would face crisis from all aspect. Some things, no, most of the crisis we would face would be from the least expected source.
This particular rule is always on the top of my list. It would be wise to be cautious with whom we befriend. In the end of the days, when we are in a crisis, they would be the shoulders we lean on and depend on. Friends should have the trust that goes two-way between them. One-way would be an extremely dangerous road to tread on.
Friendship is something I have always emphasized on, because I have had both bitter and sweet experience. Which one is more I dare not think.
Lastly, I would like to say that by reading this article I have gained confidence in coping with upcoming crisis since it had offered few solutions to follow up.
Thank you, Pn.Zue.

Crisis is just a term to replace the word problem. Thus we can say every one face crisis on a daily basis. Being a college/university student is actually the place where they face a vast of crisis in their life. Proving to yourself that you can face this crisis and go through it without having it affecting your life makes you a champion. It is very common today, to see a student flunking their studies and blaming it on their daily life crisis. This very foolish for a person to say, as every crisis has a very reasonable solution. Having a clear mind and looking into to the core of this very crisis can help the person to resolve it without having major issues. As grown up, we should think in a mature perspective and everything will just be well in life.

Crisis in definition means an unstable or dangerous negative situation affecting an individual or group. Thus, student crisis pretty much means situations that negatively affect the students such as financial crisis for their tuition. Although it spells out problems to most people, in my opinion, having crisis for students help them gain experience and harden themselves for the future. Like an old saying; “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”. Being in a crisis gives you an opportunity to gain understanding of the problem then enabling you to try and overcome that specific problem. Without student crisis, the students won’t have the experience of handling crisis later on in their life such as crisis in the workplace. To me, crisis is a must for students to train them for the future. When people read about crisis, they will assume something negative, this is also considered a crisis and what better way to overcome a crisis if not by using our wits and changing something negative into a positive. We just need a little bit of crisis to make ourselves better.

Thanks for this wonderful article Puan Zue. Recently, I noticed few changes in my behaviour and attitude and I strongly believe crisis is the main cause. As for me, being a university student is the stage where a person will start to expose himself/herself to the world and face a lot of problems. Whenever I confront conflict, dilemma or problem, I'll share it with my mother because I believe that she has the best solutions and she knows me better than others. After I read this article, I realized that crisis is a common thing and it's a part of our life. Sometimes we can't avoid crisis but we can overcome it by taking few simple steps. In my point of view, a strong faith in our life and confidence are the most important features that each person should have to triumph over any obstacle and I believe that everything happens for a reason. Never let crisis conquer your life!

Crisis is an emotionally significant or radical change of status in a person’s life. Majority of people fail at handling a crisis like having a crisis is about the end of their life. Come on, we had to think positively as a student and stop burden your mind with unnecessary things. Solution of a crisis would depend to a great extent on the way we view or observe the crisis and understand it. It’s us who need to be more intelligent in a way to avoid from it, face it and solve it.
